LD39 — Running out of Power

Panda-Go by Fwazle 2017-08-02T08:53:16Z

I had fun delivering the space pizza! Took me a few tries, but finally no one was hungry!

I like the cute theme you have going, unfortunately even on my 1080 display, the panda logo on the ship was hard to see in game. The random placement of the various customers can vary the difficulty a great deal. So having this as an 'endless' mode might be an idea. Maybe look into 'seeding' your random class so you'll still have infinite levels but with fixed placement in each of those levels. Good luck on your next adventure!

Power Hack by coborax 2017-08-07T19:09:55Z

Couldn't figure out how to get the IP of a thing to hack and I love Uplink style games. All the hacking commands required an IP and well... Kinda got stuck at the very start. Could you update this page with a better explanation of the controls? also don't forget to rate other peoples games to get your game seen! :)

I NEED POWER by pauljs 2017-08-02T08:31:15Z

Definitely an interesting take on the idea, using your phones actual power level as a game altering mechanic. Also, having two things to do at once is always a neat thing on mobile because of the multi-touch input available. Good job on putting up what you did!

Played it with about 30% battery. Unfortunately for me, I found the game okay, up until the 450 mark when the platform started shrinking considerably and by the 500 mark it became about the size of my little finger so balance is definitely something that needs to be worked on. Having to replay the 1-450 score is too frustrating a punishment and discourages me from playing again.

Very cool game. It made me want to keep playing till I won. Each time, I got just a little bit further haha. Managed to save 5/8 crew. In the end I just left all the lights off to save power and let them stumble around (a bit cruel maybe but it somewhat worked!)

BATTERYMAN RECHARGES THE WORLD! by XAVIER_INDIE_GAMEDEV 2017-08-02T07:39:23Z

One of the developers here. Firstly, thanks for checking it out and commenting on here, if you did!

It was a challenge to find a balance between too hard and too easy. Too hard and people wouldn't play it and too easy and it'd be over too quickly. Considering this is a game jam, we expected people to be playing a whole bunch of games, not just ours and therefore aimed for a 5 minute experience so you didn't feel like you were missing out. If that's about how long it took you to complete it, we did our job :)

More Energy! by Kodiqi 2017-08-06T18:36:37Z

Good job putting this together in 72 hours! I know from a previous jam that balancing things with numbers takes a lot of testing and time. It starts of very interesting and promising, but the moment I found out I could take a loan and sell it off immediately, the game didn't feel fun anymore. If you do decide to create a post LD version, you might like taking a look at "Reigns" It does a similar thing with two choices.

With a bit of polish, I think you can release a better version of your game :)

The Escape of Android 39 by FoxBuchele 2017-08-02T09:00:41Z

I do not yet own a VR device and I'm sure theres many people like me that would still like to experience and give feedback on these games. Consider uploading a playthrough to show people what your game is about even if they can't play it themselves :)
