Such a cute game! Put me in a good mood! I have personally only seen this game purely text-based. A very wholesome game, may I ask how you made the art?

chronosv2 2017-12-05 03:49

That was really creative! I liked the concept quite a lot.

The graphics were really well done, and fit the retro VN style a lot. The music was catchy and sound effects did their job well.

If I had one complaint it would be never really knowing what my stress levels were, but I guess if that information were revealed it would be too easy to game the system. I ended up losing the game on Tuesday of Week 2 due to what I can only assume was that sneaky laziness stat messing with my decisions.

All in all, that was a lot of fun! Keep up the great work!

Mmm... Hamburger clouds.

Really cute art and presentation. Perhaps a bit variety would be welcome (like a boss coming over to your desk), but I understand how hard it is to draw so much on such short notice.

I also agree with Chronosv2 about the stress level. Perhaps there could be a way of showing stress without explicitly stating the numbers: such as increasingly bigger bags under the girl's eyes or something like that.

But overall, I really dug this game. Nice job!

Game is very carefully done. I really liked graphics and sound.

chinykian 2017-12-05 09:02

Gosh, love the artwork!

valkyrie 2017-12-05 09:11

Very cute game! I loved the writing and the scenarios that change based on your decisions. I think a display of the stress, cooking, etc levels and a display of "Week: 0" would help convey player progression better.

The lady down the hall will probably go down in history as the greatest game villain of 2017.

Made it to the end on my third run (didn't even think there was an ending). It was enjoyable and fun, you really managed to give the main character an interesting personality. Design-wise it was top-notch, my only remark would be that the text overlay blocked out the buttons, which means you sometimes press buttons without seeing what written on them. Not that it's a big issue, since the button texts are always the same depending on the activity.

All in all, very good interpretation of the theme.

I really like the art for this game! It would've been interesting to see more variety, but with the amount that already exists it's pretty good anyways. I was surprised when Kana started not doing work without giving me any choice.

polyhatsteve 2017-12-05 23:15

Very nice. Very nice graphics, audio and overall production! The game is fun but two feedback I would give is: more options might be nice, and more feedback about how much work you've done might be also nice. Really relaxing and interesting overall, would love to see it fleshed out into a bigger game.

Nice one! The dialogues were funny :) third run my character started ditching meetings (after 5 options of relax in the weekend) on her own and got fired in the end :| Had fun though

Very enjoyable, great graphics and sounds. Very straight forward and enjoyable game BUT gets repetitive and boring eventually, or well, WOULD for people who aren't much into visual novels. I enjoy visual novels and so this game was quite fun all throughout. I definitely enjoyed it. and can't really suggest anything besides maybe some unexpected turn of events in the story.

joe-sycalik 2017-12-06 01:44

Nice work! The art looks fantastic and I really enjoyed the music as well! The presentation overall was great, though I did find myself a bit annoyed by the popups at the bottom (stress increasing/decreasing, etc) overlapping the buttons at times. Overall, it's a cute, relaxing game. Some more variation and some visual indicators of stress and other fluxuating elements would be nice!

basti 2017-12-06 03:29

Art, music and sound of the game are absolutely perfect. The gameplay however tends to get a bit repetitive since there doesn't seem to be much variety in the events which can occur (or the rng gods have messed with my playthrough-attempts).

Also I have to agree that some way to display the characters current stress and skill levels would probably make the game feel more satisfying to play.

However, your interpretation of the theme works out great and I really love the concept.

bryceltaylor 2017-12-06 04:17

Nice! In my first game I thought that the first choice at work was what to do on the train, so I napped for the first few days. Strangely that was my only play through where I won. Also, it was much more interesting and varied in responses when I was doing poorly. Overall I liked it and did multiple play throughs.

srabatata 2017-12-06 05:29

I liked the graphics a lot and the way the events happen in a random way. Good job!

fullmontis 2017-12-06 15:53

This is a beautiful game, very polished and well designed! I found the gameplay to be a little too repetitive and without a real sense of progression, unfortunately. Maybe an indicator of the stats and giving a deadline of sorts would give more motivation to progress.

I found a typo, "monent" instead of moment.

The buttons seem to be rendered behind the alert box while still remaining active, which made me click on them without realizing a couple of times.

Overall I enojoyed it! Great job!

josehzz 2017-12-06 21:14

Great game!, got streesed and fired because too much work :) I wish you could see a better description on how much stress and chores you have

fluidvolt 2017-12-07 01:39

"PC-9801 inspired visual novel"... I'm soo in. I really enjoyed playing this! The graphics are cute and bright, the music is that relaxing instrumental jam that I'm all about, and the writing was enjoyable to read. Quite a few standout lines in there. Some events get a little same-y but I guess that's life too, huh? Very nice job on this, both of you.

narudgi 2017-12-08 23:39

Very relaxing game, even if I have never played this kind of visual novel, I liked your entry ! (others comments already said all negative aspects haha, nothing to add)
