I really liked this one. I liked that you can restart whenever you want to, and the story was interesting. I also liked how the theme slowly changes as you get farther into the game. One problem I had that really showed itself while fighting the last boss, is that the I-frames when dashing seem too low. I feel that you should stay invulnerable the whole time you are dashing, and maybe a little after so you don't feel cheated on a hit.
It was super fun but I had no clue what I was doing for a good 3 minutes. Even after reading all the descriptions it's a bit confusing, but I got the hang of it after a while. It's a satisfying and easy game. It really fit the theme well!
The art is nice and I wish I could play through it, but you move very slow and it's impossible to see, and almost hurts to look at with the blur. Not knowing where to go next and constantly dying combined with the slow movement made it a bit frustrating, but I was eager to find the items to see what the pit would say and do next.
@kirke it's not bugged but my fault for not explaining it well. You have to hold shift and then input a direction to rotate to that direction so you are facing the enemy when attacking them. Unless I'm wrong about that too and it really is bugged but thanks for the feedback!
I thought it was funny that it tells you how many people died I wish it told you how many survived as well
@d5r Iea I never implemtented a check for the boss being dead. Thanks for the feedback!
@ljfmx Technically the box colliders were the same size as the player, but i added a check in front of the player if there was a wall, and set the velocity to zero. This would prevent the player from sticking to the wall. I agree I probably should have scaled that down a bit. Thank you!
@ljfmx Ah I see thanks for the tip. I originally tried doing that but only for the play haha.
love the concept of moving the player in a way that you and the captain dont get hit. I feel like a lot could be done with this idea with more time!
