Like how it's connected to the theme. Nice work!

Like how it's connected to the theme. Nice work!
Well, it's a cute little game connected to the theme. Nice :)
interesting story and game, art made it kinda weird though
The graphics are charming, the visual design is well done. The gameplay was a short fetch quest, and the game ends very quickly. Character design was good too, and the sound effects were funny. Very short and sweet.
I liked the art and everything was very polished, but it feels as if the splashscreens and credits last longer than the game.
The theme is hit pretty nicely and the game reminds me a bit of memory :)
@kruemelkeksfan I feel you on the spash screens, might have overdone it a bit (oops). Such a shame that the minimum setting in Unity is 2 seconds. The game is indeed quite short and we would have also really liked it to be a bit longer. Better luck next time, right !
A short game with a cute childish design. Music is just like it has to go with.
Really digging the aesthetics of it!
Nice short game, and I loved the look of the graphics. Silly and child-like, which is what made it great.
This was game was one of the most mysterious ones. The animations were really sweet. For harder gameplay I would suggest that you see the offers from islanders only once. šāµš
The art style is super cool ! The music fits nicely with the art, the game is a coherent whole, well done :)
It's quite short once you realize what's going on (I somehow visited the islands in the complete opposite direction of trading!!) but it's a delight nonetheless! I like the relaxed mood from the bongos playing in the background and I absolutely LOVE the artstyle, it really strikes my fancy.
Wonderful job and wonderful interpretation of the theme.
Also props for actually uploading a Linux version of the game!! ;3
Cool game :)
Cute game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 45 compilation video series, if youād like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/PWHzHVXDNtQ
Yarr, i got my dreams fulfilled i became captain of a new jolly ship, well executed, easy and simple!
@ayxs, This was a really pleasant little game :) The idea is really fun, and as a fan of Point&Click adventure games, this was a great little demo of one for a game jam, the graphics were another level.
One minor suggestion - Quality of life touches on P&C games are really important and add a lot in my opinion. Even something as small as speeding up / skipping island transitions after seeing each one of the possible ones would have been nice.
Overall one of the best this jam :)
Great game! I really liked the artwork (so much in such a short amount of time!) and felt like the game length was just right.
But I do feel bad for the poor sailor that gave up his galleon for a rowboat!
Good job :)
@kekkodude Glad that you enjoyed it! @slimabob People back then weren't that smart right? thank you so much for the feedback!
I like the art, looks like cartoon. Stuck with the theme quite well :P Cool short game
Not really innovative but sound theme and artwork are killer-features :)
Cool little trading game. Good Job.
@mad-brokli Thank you for your feedback!
@trinarr Are you just saying it's not really innovatieve since you also made a pirate based game ...
Just kidding, of course. Your game looks interesting I'll check it out once I get home :), thank you for your feedback!
@frozen-spirit Thx :smile:
OK
These are the kind of games that should be played by Luda Dare with a gameplay duration of 2 minutes)))
I really liked the art style: hand drawn with crayon look and feel. The gameplay was pretty simple, and basic. But I liked it. It would be great if the trees were animated like the player, and the sky was light blue, i.e. if it was a day. Overall, nice game!
Loved the crayon look, and the water animation really made me smile! <3
very cool looking game
I love so much the art! And I love pirates too, so... top game for me! :D Just, too bad about music. Arrr!!
Excellent crayon textures. The waves are looking great! Feels like the wave effect in old school theater settings.
@zdravkon Thank you for the feedback very much appreciated! @fedz Thank you! we are really happy with how it turned out @ambra Yarrrr! @pierre-feuille-studio Awesome! thank you for the feedback!
Very nice game, i love the drawing style. Good job !
Super cool art style, gives the game a makeshift puppet show like look! Game was way too easy though, basically just going to people in a certain order to win.
You could have a set of core mechanics and have people trade items in exchange for completing tasks, that challenge and teach the players understanding of the core mechanics. Then the final one, to earn the ship, puts all of what you learned to use to win. That's if you want to take this idea further though, maybe you want to move on to something else. Just my two cents :) Great job guys!
@phobos001 Thanks for the feedback! who knows what the future holds for this game
I love the style of the game! I hate that it's so linear though.
I just loved the ocean movement effect, this kind of art is very laborious to make, wish I saw more games in such art style
Hey fellow shipwreck game!
I considered the idea of a trade-up game myself but couldn't think of a way to make it engaging. I really thought you did a good job pulling it off. The first thing I noticed was actually your intro. The team logo is professional and the LD logo just gave it even more umph. I reallly liked the art style, though as much as I love a man who can walk using only his feet, the characters were on the weaker side mostly cuz they seemed less consistent with the environment. The environment though, was awesome to look at and was one of the reasons the game just kept pulling me forward. The choice to use a black sky was incredibly bold but I loved how it turned out, it really makes things pop. Screenshots don't do this game justice, once you're in you can tell a lot of work was put into making it all work together.
@velvetlobster Thank you so much, we really love that effect too! one game we used as a guideline was **Chalkship** an upcoming game on steam look it up they use the chalk graphics as well!
@peachtreeoath Thank you so much for your feedback! All the chalk graphics took indeed long to make but it was worth it! Myself and @ayxs are really not good at making characters , especcially character animations but it was a good learning process. once again thanks for the awesome comment! I will check out your game as well
Funny graphics
nice game :) a pity it is so short :( love the programmer art ahah
Cute lil' trading game! The art was fun. Some of the controls were a little irresponsive, I had to mash keys several times on some of the interactions, and on one point I got stuck trying to climb a hill, but I pushed past them so they weren't game-enders at least. The characters, map, water, sailing animation and the like were all very cute. Nice work!
Like the art, homebrew style. Kinda very similar to Redbeard!
Quite a fun little game you got here. Quite simple to play, and then then just had to figure out who and where. We actually tossed around an idea very similar to this. Inspired by the guy who traded a paper clip up to a pencil, and so on, up to a house or something like that. Is a cool idea and you pulled it off pretty well. I liked the music too, a bit repetitive, but fitting and nice.
At first i was a little confused what was going on - i have to say I've never played a trading game like this before so that opened me up to a new genre. The controls were intuitive and easy but the cut scenes every transition was killing me - i think if you wanted to see have that sailing vibe having it all in one scene where you could control the raft would have at least been more acceptable IMO.
This game looks beautiful in the ugliest way or looks ugly in the most beautiful way. I can't decide which.
I enjoyed playing it. Thank you for the game!
The art is unique, everything looks like it was hand drawn - with a crayon - by a 6-year old... which I first didnt like, but in the short time it grow into me. There wasn't so much to actually play in this game, but the mood was good.
A bit short but that is definitely an excellent entry. Loved the graphic style and the ambiance is really cool !
Nice stylistics, looking pretty fun. But very short. I would like so more gameplay. Anyway, good job!
Hey!
Played your entry, it has pretty funny graphics, I liked it. :)
A game has not much gameplay, but I see you were creating a basis for a bigger amount of content.
Anyway, good job! :3
And thanks for playing my entry. :3
Wow really liked the graphics, this is so unique. Otherwise it's a simple and efficient trading game but what definitely drives me is exploring your drawing world. Very nice !
This game is ridiculously perfect! It is simple but it is easy to understand, the UI is really well designed to avoid any kind of confusion, the drawing is simple but extremely charming, the sounds are funny, and the song even though annoying fits perfectly the theming and feeling of the game. An amazing work here, good job!
@ferdi Thank you for the feedback!
@hcursino Wow thank you for the amazing feedback, glad that you enjoyed our small game!
Nice game. I loved the artstyle and the way you communicate without any words. Good job!
really cute game - the art is awesome :D :hearts:
Cute artstyle! I liked how simple the game is. When you start the game, you just know what to do. And that is amazing (something that is lacking in my entry lol).
@rodrigo-denubila @bilalch213 Thank you for the awesome comment! that was one of the goals for this Ludum Dare
@mrstari Thank you! :smiley:
I love the simple but charming graphics!!! They fit the pirate theme very well! The gameplay while simple (after all this is a jam game) fit the LD theme nicely and due the game's short length don't become repetitive. Nice job here!!! The controls and the objectives are well explained to the player so the player isn't lost (something that can be found in quite a few entries
