Bit difficult with the wires but eventually managed to do it, though I gotta say I almost gave up on it. The graphics are pretty good, especially the backgrounds and props, more so than the character, but that's just my opinion. The voice over's quality is a bit bad but that's ok for a game jam game to be honest, maybe use a phone recorder next time if you have no access to real recorders. Lastly, it took a bit to figure out I should unscrew the screws, after clicking everything on the screen. Would've benefited from a highlight or arrow or even text, though I prefer to keep the text to a minimum so the screws flashing on and off would've been best. Hope you take everything I said with a grain of salt and overall I enjoyed it!

@shin0nome Thank you! Yes you probably did xD we tried to avoid that from happening by placing faster enemies all around the level, as a border of sorts (they're the blue ones) and made it so no cheese was near them, so the player follows the cheese and never gets out of the designated area. @bigbadbison Thank you! The cheese arrow could have definitely been more subtle, I agree! 82 isn't bad! The current record, that I know of, is 348 (I personally got 300) Tip: the deeper you go, the more enemies, so I'd clear out the top part first, then gradually make my way down :D

@jk5000 Thanks for the feedback! Yeah you kinda have to balance eating cheese for speed, and not going so fast you can't dodge the enemies, unless that's what you wanted. That being said, the cloud issue is definitely something I heard before so perhaps it would've been better to have the game start while the mouse is on top of a cloud

Really enjoyed it! Bit hard to control, but that's why it's fun. Overall the gameplay was fun and the visuals, albeit being simple, are charming. Especially liked seeing the crashed planes from previous runs.

Great game! Fire dies a bit too fast in my opinion, and the bullets are tough to see, so it's difficult to aim at the snowmen if they're far away. Fun game though!

Really nice entry! Super interesting combat mechanic with the sword, and how it moves. I also like that you can destroy bullets with it. I didn't get that you should collect the blood/flames on the floor at first, but rather stumbled into one by accident and thought I'd take damage but got HP instead. Red is often associated with damage so either change the color, or clarify from the get-go that it's something I should try to collect. Other than that, no real gripes with the game. Was pretty fun trying to break into the highscore list but sadly couldnt survive that long. Solid entry!

Some enemies were a bit too fast but that made for an intense gameplay when I'm just running for my life hoping to run into a torch. An indicator of where the nearest torch would be helpful, especially when low on health! Solid fun entry!

Great game! Could really use coyote time. Did not notice there were 2 types of jumps, those weren't very clear. Really like the addition of secret collectibles to fast travel to the level.

Lovely art! I like the rough feeling of it. I didn't get what the patrolling things were, I was avoiding them at first thinking the cone is a vision cone of sorts, but then they didn't do anything to me so I just pretended they're not there. Not sure if that's intentional or not. Stressful but also enjoyable experience that needs to be fleshed out!

Edit: Just realized you can press space to eat snacks, which is what the cones were for all along. I beat the game without that, but was really tricky at the last level. Interesting mechanic though!

Really smart idea to include color-based crit to make me more of an active participant and not just button mashing. Also appreciate the player still dealing damage even if the wrong color, so it's not TOO punishing. Well done!

Love this so much. The tutorial was a bit confusing considering there's a lot to keep in mind, but for a jam game to even have a tutorial is a huge plus. Not to mention the recap at the end of it was a very nice touch.

Game itself is fun! Could use some SFX for alerting the player to some resources or being spotted, and the guards could sometimes spot my "children" but not me, but it's only cuz one of them was stuck somewhere and the guard found him. Which makes it so I feel like I lost out of nowhere (till I realized what the issue was), so apart from the pathfinding issues and lack of some SFX (quality of life, more so than a bug) the game was super well polished, great art! great gameplay. Very solid entry.

Resolution scaling is a bit wonky and I think the knife collision is a bit too big, so its hard to squeeze between 2 knives (with one in the middle) unless you do it pixel-perfect it seems. But really fun game, amazing art, music and UI!

I agree with @human-writes-code that the stars in the background were very confusing with the bullets from the enemy and player. Other than that, was actually really fun! Controls are great. Short but fun! Which is understandable for a game jam game. Well done!

@cookie-chr Thanks! I only managed to get the character done in time, would've loved to have added art for the Background and platforms and all that.

Theme-wise, you're delaying the inevitable Game Over or death, since it's endless and there's no "winning" per say but rather trying to go as far as you can, or beating your previous high-score. At least, that's how I intended it to be, but perhaps it doesn't translate well enough? Either ways thanks for the feedback!

@jozef There actually is a SFX for the carrot pickup but I accidentally play the wrong one xD It's the same sound as the jump so you never really notice it. That was definitely a mistake though.

There's a bunch of other stuff I really wanted to add for polish like the BG and environment art, as well as some "jetpack joyride"-like rockets that you have to dodge every now and then, but as Snakes, to fit the theme of a rabbit.. escaping I think? I'm not too sure to be honest where this setting would be, is it a rabbit escaping a lab? Running in a Forrest? Something entirely different? What do you think? I'm considering working on it a little for a post-jam version so what do you think?

@jakobusmade Thank you so much for your feedback! Super helpful. I really like the idea of using the carrots as fuel but I'm not sure if draining the score is fair for the player. Though it does give me food for thought of how else to approach it! Really interesting idea nonetheless.

I agree that it's a bit repetitive and easy and I've actually done the whole "speed increases over time" thing, as well as added more sections that could spawn, so it's less redundant and overall harder, and I also added projectiles that could spawn from the side that you have to dodge. I think I'll have all that as a separate difficulty or can be toggled on/off in options, so it's still accessible to others. Will update it soon! Once again, thanks a lot for the feedback and kind words!

@toppervideogames Thank you! I believe all carrots give a score of 5, which is something I wanted to change so maybe there's a super carrot or something, as well as give carrots a reason to be collected. Perhaps as a currency to unlock a powerup or as a way to revive on death.

I'm glad you enjoyed the jumping! You do that quite often so I tried hard to get it working well. Taking breaks at the walls is not intentional xD I couldn't really "fix" it in time, so just left it in.

Difficulty has been increased with incremental speed, projectiles to dodge and more sections that could spawn. Will update soon, once I iron out some bugs!

Great game! Love the art and cute feeling of it all. Could use coyote jump or a jump buffer, since some platforms are a bit tricky to use. Took me a while to realize you can double jump, which made things much easier!

Enjoyable game! Keyboard controls were a bit awkward, where it could just be 1 button to interact with whatever it is you need to interact with. For example health pickups dont need a keybind, and maybe toggle to hold the gas can, instead of hold like another user mentioned. Controls are a bit floaty with the jump, and slow with the speed, but I actually got pretty invested in the core loop itself. Was tense! All in all well done!
