It was very cute and I loved the art! I found sometimes a bit hard to navigate, but i used a ergonomic mouse that sometimes can be finicky to use on a video game. Overall I liked very much! Great job
cool game..the character movement is really smooth n the gameplay is fun as well...great graphics n i luv the subtle animation of the rat...great work
The grahics and the music are amazing ! I think I did go outside the map because the background was blue, without clouds, cheese and enemies. But otherwise you did a wondeful job, I had a great time !
@fredripper2077 Thank you for the kind words!
@ru-mey Thanks! Hope it wasn't too troublesome to control with your mouse. I checked your entry by the way and it's really fun!
The graphics and audio are super duper satisfying and the game is kind of addicting. The movement is great
@karthima thanks! Your entry was rather fun as well!
@shin0nome Thank you! Yes you probably did xD we tried to avoid that from happening by placing faster enemies all around the level, as a border of sorts (they're the blue ones) and made it so no cheese was near them, so the player follows the cheese and never gets out of the designated area. Thanks for playing and leaving your feedback though! Your game is pretty fun too!
@ndhr-productions thank you for the feedback! Your game's pretty nice as well :D love the speech bubble attack
Wonderful game! I absolutely loved the aesthetic you went for. The art, music, and general gameplay blended extremely well together.
I don't really feel qualified to critique anything but the music, and it's honestly the only thing i could find any little nitpicking with, so that's what I'll talk about.
The song was very pleasant and fit the game extraordinarily well!... that is, until near the end of the song, when a horribly loud and saturated snare comes in, scaring the devil out of me and ripping me out of the whole experience temporarily. I will say the saturated snare sound definitely works well as a contrast in the music, but it's just way too loud. A more subtle sound or just literally lowering the base volume of the snare would make it the absolute perfect song for this game. As it is, definitely the best song I've heard in ludum dare.
Great job from everyone working on this game, I hope to see something again next time! Nice work.
I really liked it! Sounds and art went together really nicely. Gameplay was pretty basic but at the same time really fun and well done. I don't think the "cheese arrow" is really neccessary and if anything just distracts when you need to be focusing on those critters that are out to stop you from having a good time.
Well done and good luck!
PS: I got 82 cheeses, not sure what the record is :P
The visuals, music and mood is all really. The game play is simple and pretty fun, perhaps a bit too simple. I also find it weird that the more cheese I eats the more difficult to game gets. I then it took some time for me to realize that I did not have to avoid the clouds. But overall a good and well jam game. Well done.
Great job!
A really great looking game, with a really good, soothing soundtrack. The gameplay is pretty simple but the experience is really polished: no bug, no frustrating situation. Congrats!
Neat idea, seemed a touch too simple gameplay-wise
@bigbadbison Thank you! The cheese arrow could have definitely been more subtle, I agree! 82 isn't bad! The current record, that I know of, is 348 (I personally got 300) Tip: the deeper you go, the more enemies, so I'd clear out the top part first, then gradually make my way down :D
@jk5000 Thanks for the feedback! Yeah you kinda have to balance eating cheese for speed, and not going so fast you can't dodge the enemies, unless that's what you wanted. That being said, the cloud issue is definitely something I heard before so perhaps it would've been better to have the game start while the mouse is on top of a cloud
@bamallama Thank you for the feedback! Agreed to be fair, we'll be looking to increase our scope a bit in the upcoming jams!
@squeele Thanks! That means a lot
Very cute game!
The visuals were very pretty and chill. The screenwipes/effects you used made the entire thing feel so polished and sleek. The starting animation of our mouse friend jumping down into the clouds is SO SMOOTH. The audio worked perfectly with this too, so serene and atmospheric. Such a wonderful ethereal/floaty mood, truly putting us up there in the clouds :D.
Movement feels nice and responsive and the controls are straightforward and easy to understand!
Like others pointed out, it took me a while to realise the clouds were in fact not obstacles and you've said it's something that has been said before so perhaps like you suggested, have the mouse start on a cloud or slightly tweak their colours (leaning towards the former more since they do look very nice as is). I think it helped you put cheese on the clouds too which finally made me go "ahhh ok".
Overall a really solid game and entry. Great job to your team!
Hey that's a fun little polished game, I like it! I got to 109. It's an oddly calming experience, especially at the beginning where all you do is chase the cheese, not being bothered by the birds. The music greatly contributes to that and I really like it when the sound takes off later and adds to the sense of increasing speed and danger. The graphics and little animations are also well made (love the little touch of the mouse spinning when collecting cheese)! All in all it all works together very well.
Some suggestions: - You could make even more of the concept of the music intensifying later in the game, adding more layers, and even totally transforming the experience by adding more visual effects, like stars in the background or different parallaxing layers, to give an even greater sense of progression. - Sure there could be more variety in the enemies or other collectibles, the game could be extended like this later. - Apart from the arcade-like enemies - have you thought about making relaxation / meditation games? Sometimes it's enough just floating through the skies and satisfyingly collecting multiple pieces of cheese in a row.
Lovely graphics!
This game gives you a nice chill experience, thats due the atmosphere created by the graphics and sounds. Great mood I would say. Simple game but very well executed. Nice job!
What a lovely little mouse. Animations are clean and audio really nice =)
Very cute! Nice, solidly-made game -- it reminds me a bit of the Orisinal flash games from back in the day :)
I felt the progression of just getting faster with birds getting bigger made it a bit unjust -- as I got quite far I didn't really have time to react before my screen was filled with a bird. Perhaps zooming out slightly as the mouse speeds up would've helped? (I admit I'm using a touchpad though, so might be at a disadvantage!)
The graphics were really nice (and inspiring me Procreate for my next game) and the music calming. Also the title screen, albeit simple, is really polished and a great intro to the game! :)
Extremely cute little game. Starting screen with animation is a piece of art, that's it.
Chilling atmosphere, very good. Nice sounds, and musics, graphic its also very well done! Cute and simple, congrats for the job!

Great graphic art, nice music, the theme is quite involved. I think it's a good game for this jam.
This game is very cute and relaxing! The graphics and music greatly contribute to that vibe! Good job! :)
