I didn't have an end announcement when i've craft the boat, and i haven't found how to use it.

Nice music but a lot of time to find the objects.
I wasn't able to mine things. Maybe I couldn't tell because there appear to be no sound effects, just music. How you could improve: Try downloading a program called BFXR. It's a free sound generator that a lot of people use. To avoid that annoying bounce when the player walks into colliders, check if there's a collider next to the player. You could do this in many ways. One thought that springs to mind is: when the player collides with another, check the relative position and then disallow that motion of movement, so for example, if the collider is above the player, allow movement in all directions other that up. I don't do this style of games so that might not work but it's a thought. Good work though!
I managed to beat the game with the above instructions. It was a little hard to find iron and either a tooltip or a name display of inventory items would have helped a lot :) I liked the soundtrack, it was setting the mood quite well.
@nephelias thanks for letting me know, you are supposed to just get an end screen I think I know why it's not getting up.
@s-yanik yeah, ran out of time for designing a way to prevent the player from advancing in an "artistically friendly" way like I originally planned, so I just spread sh*t out so it was still simple but not like you just walk off the island in three seconds. Did you get the end screen?
@n0ught234 thank you for your honest feedback, it's really appreciated! Had no idea about BFXR, and yeah the collider thing is annoying. Did you try crafting the knife before mining items? you need that first, then the player should be able to mine trees and iron and grass. There is an oncolliderstay event so you could just stand at a tree, but mining is faster
Nice game. Found one little bug. When you try to craft something, and there is no recipe for it both items disappear, nevertheless, really really cool.
@pythooonuser ah, didn't even think of that could have easily added a name to each item in the UI, and thanks I did quite enjoy making the music for this one, glad you liked it. Did you get the end screen after crafting the boat if you don't mind me asking?
@kenarf well son of a b*&ch lol, thanks for letting me know about that, glad you liked it
This was a nice calming game. The music is really nice, fits the game well. Running was pretty funny, moving around the island so quickly. I was able to fill my inventory with rafts because the frame and rope stayed in the craft screen. Good work!
I ran around for a while, but was unable to find more than 1 iron. Would I have needed logs to craft the raft? Also I agree that item names in the inventory and a preview for the crafting result would have been incredibly helpful.
@radgegames had the same problem in my game haha, still, it didn't bother me that much, it's not a bug, it's a feature! haha
Nice entry even if i'm not fan of survivor concept the song made it cool. Something intersting in it keep it up!
Thanks everybody, I fixed the game so, hopefully, you'll be able to get the correct screen when you complete the game (it's just a screen that says how awesome you are lol) I'm super glad everyones enjoying it, and also enjoying the music, I said in my discord I was gonna supplement my weakness of pixel art with okayish tunes and hope it evens it out lmao
Nice game man! I think your game needs a little detail on the green ground, I've got lost a few times.
@gustavo-rocha thanks, appreciate the feedback, I actually had more ground tiles but foolishly didn't use them, anyway glad you liked it
Nice work, really simple but I appreciate the effort. Had some issues with the inventory (lots of slots but I didn't appear to be picking anything else up?). Had a wander anyway. Basic graphics, nice chill music track while you wipe out trees with your knife. :y
Fairly good game, and kinda quick.
love crafting games to death, 5 starts from me. only a few people made crafting games though, me, you, and some other dude
Good music. The game would be very good if not for the bugs in inventory, and just a good game :)
I feel like the fact that you had to include instructions kinda ruined the game for me. I love figuring out stuff for myself, but I just didn't know what the goal was when I was put into the game.
Cute pixels. I don't really see the 'survival' part, I haven't found a way to die. The 2nd iron disappeared from my inventory ._.
@vovin thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it
Really cute ! The art is simple but quite effective. It is true that it's quite big so a bit more details wouldn't have been too much, but other than that it does the job.
You did great job overall, you can be proud :)
@kanonix Thanks! I'm extremely proud although it's nowhere near what I first envisioned. Made this entry completely alone though so yeah, im proud of it
Interesting game, I haven't played anything similar before. At first I was wondering if a mini-map should be implemented (if it were to go to production) or not. Also I think the graphics of the crafted elements should be more descriptive since I was not sure what I had just crafted. Lastly I wish I could pick up a starfish and use it somehow... It was quite enjoyable, keep up the good work!
Ha yeah picking up a starfish was one of the things I thought about. I'm not sure yet if this will reach production, although I do see some great potential with it. Thanks for the feedback I really appreciate it and I'm glad you found it interesting @panayotis
As I understand it, the resources here are extremely limited, especially for the grass, which also disappears from the inventory when used improperly. Is there a fatal bug on your face? or is it such a chip?
Yes... Very nice, I liked playing it...
@tory yes supplies are supposed to be limited so you can't just beat the game in like two secs, also I've been trying to reproduce the inventory bugs and none is happening for me, could you explain what you did before the grass disappears? if not, glad you enjoyed
Small and neat game with cohesive gameplay.
Unfortunately can't play because Windows-only, but wanted to say that the pixel art looks good!
Just came from your video about the jam experience. I think you were way too critical of what you achieved in this jam, dude! You have a functioning inventory and crafting system, a resource collecting system, some nicely animated pixel art and quality of life stuff like muting, exit menus etc. I actually think you did a great job with this!
Please post a web or mac build so more people can play and give feedbacks on your game! :D
Fun game
I liked the crafting mechanics. Since it's in Unity I highly suggest you make an HTML5 version and throw it up somewhere. You will get a lot more plays if you do. Good work.
