Html5 link is broken :/
@joerenglish fixed.
I like it! I wish there was more... and that the physics were a bit less... jumbly! There just wasn't much for a single player like me to do. The music selection was fun too!
Really fun concept! Made me wish my GF hadn't just left for work so we could play. Music fit well, but I did want some sort of SFX for banging around.
My only wish was there was an AI, honestly even one that placed a block at the top randomly would have been fun. Or even a challenge mode where it placed two randomly and you had to get there.
Either way, it's a good concept and I hope it gets a bit more love.
@ericbomb Thanks your adivice :) Actually I remember the date of Ludum Dare wrongly, so when I know it has begun there's only 8 hours left. Therefore I made this all in a rush and its really imcomplete. I'll add an AI and domore polish after LD is over and re-upload it. :D
Well for 8 hours this is probably one of the more solid last minute entries!
Pretty neat concept, while playing against myself there were several times where I was convinced one color would win the next round but then the game continued for many more turns, which made it surprisingly exciting.
Nice game! Cool concept, I think if the swing were faster there'd be some nice chaotic counter-play.
Very unique idea, and it works fairly well! The balls rarely stay still and it feels mostly random, but the idea is interesting.
It need a little bit of more refinement.
I kind of like the idea but I'm not sure if the implementation is actually fun. First of all there were some things missing like the win condition is not enforced although the five in a row glow, which is a cool effect. Also you can click anywhere so also already in the pile so then you don't really care about gravity and the game becomes boring. There should be a lower zone where you can't click so gravity always matters. I guess these things are just lack of time. Another thing is that I feel like the game is not actually won by skill but more by luck because of the bouncy goofy physics. I think you need to either go over the top with the physics and make it a bit frantic or make the physics very rigid and predictable so it's a strategy and skill game. One last thing the music was good but I really felt it didn't fit the game. Sorry for all the negatives but I try to critique what I see. Overall I still think there is a cool game in there, it just needs some more time and attention to detail to bring it out.
Pretty neat! It does feel like it could use some more polish, but I do like the use of having to use all of the balls as part of an overall strategy. The shifting gravity means the state of the game can change at any point too. The random ball sizes felt unbalanced, as it seems like bigger balls give a good advantage.
The balls were too bouncy for any real strategy to form as is. With the ball being able to be placed anywhere, the whole board just explodes into a chaotic mess. With some physics fine tuning and restrictions on ball placement, I can see this being an enjoyable strategy multiplayer game!
Good job overall!
