I loved everything about this game, fantastic. It took me a long time to figure out how to jump on moveable blocks without knocking them over, but I don't think that's a negative since it felt good when I finally started getting the hang of it.
An impressive amount of content and fun visual style. I felt like the game got a bit repetitive after the first few levels though, it might have been better to make fewer levels with more monsters per level.
Pretty amusing to play, the web version lagged a fair bit for me which made it extra difficult. The only way I could get the objects to the end was by crashing into stuff and letting them launch through the air to the goal point :) High scores were 1376, 1926, 1165.
I would have liked a restart button in case I get to a point where it's impossible to beat my high score.
A nice take on block-pushing puzzles. I was being careful to avoid locking the furniture together, but unfortunately it's pretty easy to accidentally bump some piece of furniture into the wall just while running around.
Very pretty visuals and great atmosphere, and I liked the radio tuning mechanic. I played around with the radio for a while and there didn't seem to be any distress calls though. Also the tie-in with the theme is pretty unclear.
Great visuals and atmosphere, I agree with others that the leaps of faith were pretty frustrating but maybe it was intentionally designed to be frustrating to mirror the themes of depression and anxiety? Overall very well made.
Great puzzle game. Some of the mechanics were tough to figure out on my own, but not at all impossible (there are plenty of good hints like the number of platforms being smaller than the number of robots).
Great graphics and audio, and the gameplay is quite fun with a surprising amount of depth. The fullscreen option in the main menu didn't work for me.
Love the graphics. It took me a long time to figure out that you need to hold the left mouse button to fire. The difficulty curve seemed to be really easy for a very long time and then suddenly got way harder; I think it would have been nicer if the difficulty increased more smoothly.
Very interesting concept, the weird jump mechanics and lack of WASD controls made it pretty annoying to move around though. I also would have liked a bit more of a response for finding the skinny pink bug, but I imagine time was an issue. Overall quite neat.
I loved the music and the graphics were quite nice, but I couldn't quite figure out what the point was. It seemed like just randomly stacking objects on top of each other as quickly as possible with no consideration of stability was a winning strategy.
Pretty fun to play, very hard. The best I got was 4 stones in one stack.
Great audio and amazing graphics! The gameplay felt a little flat since it seems like the only reasonable thing to do is heal/restore sanity when it's not wasteful and spend the rest of your time shooting.
I like the controls display a lot! Trying to keep track of the changing keybinds was pretty tough. Whoever placed all of these obstacles on the train tracks needs a stern talking-to :)
Great graphics, mood, and concept. I couldn't really figure out how to avoid dying almost every encounter :p
Nice graphics, agree with others on how the gameplay is pretty confusing
I like the graphics a lot! I wish the music was a bit louder, I could barely hear it without turning my volume up so high that the explosion sfx became painful. I was never able to get enough bottles into the rocket before I ran out of fuel, but I was using a trackpad so maybe it would be easier with a mouse.
The mood is very well-tuned, and the graphics and sound effects work well together to build the atmosphere. I agree with others that the timing felt way too tight.
P.S. your game link seems to be dead.
I had to manually look up the game on GameJolt to find it.
@cireneikual222464 @zerocomms Oops, I had forgotten to set the game to public! It should be playable now.
@tinykidtoo While exploring the apartment you should be able to left click on various objects (for instance, the gun on the couch) to investigate them for clues. Did this not work for you?
Thanks @ everyone who pointed out the issues with crouching on the web version. I changed the keybind to shift, which hopefully fixes the issue.
@mateu Thanks for the feedback! I really wanted to add settings for the sensitivity but unfortunately ran out of time. I set the sensitivity to a good level for my PC, but when I made the web port I had to readjust it so it probably varies a lot depending on the environment for some reason :/
@tinykidtoo Are you using chrome? I just tested on chrome and it seems the UI coordinates are messed up. Try clicking slightly below the exit button (or try the game in firefox where it should work fine).
@cireneikual222464 Sorry it's not working, it locks for me so I have no idea why. I tried adding a Linux download version, hopefully that works.
@tinykidtoo That's the same version I'm using, so I have no idea why it works for me but not for you :/ Sorry, I wish I could help more.
@potkirland Thanks! I originally planned to have multiple endings, but the extra content would have required much more time to get working.
@enya454 Thanks for the feedback. I intentionally designed the apartment to feel cramped to highlight the fact that they're not very well-off financially, but in retrospect I agree it's just a bit too hard to move around.
@Jaker Thanks for the feedback! I tried to make it pretty hard to figure out all the details :)
@transylvanian-blacksmiths Thank you very much for the kind words! Sadly I couldn't figure out how to make the game work with different resolutions, so if your monitor isn't 1920x1080 then that's probably why the UI doesn't fit in fullscreen. I think I did manage to fix the mouse unlocking issue now though.
@wetburritosupreme Thanks for the feedback! It should be possible to figure everything out if you found all/most of the evidence, but it does require a fair bit of connecting the dots and some of the evidence can be easy to overlook. I tried to make it pretty hard to solve all the mysteries, so if you were able to crack open the general picture you did well.
@hwaet Thanks for the feedback! I'll try to bear the comment about bounding boxes in mind in the future. I tried to match them pretty closely to the bounds on the object but maybe adding a bit of margin would have been better.
@ilbini Thanks for the feedback! I considered making interactables highlighted when you move your mouse nearby, but didn't really have time to code it in. The tie-in with the theme was supposed to be "losing your stable job". I tried to make it apparent by explicitly working the word "stable" into the text in several places, but it may have still been too subtle.
@raph-gi Would you mind elaborating a bit on what the issue you ran into was? What prevented you from continuing?
An interesting take on the life-esque board game genre with a good amount of player agency. Possibly I didn't understand the system well enough, but I didn't feel like I had any chance of winning though.
Pretty neat concept, while playing against myself there were several times where I was convinced one color would win the next round but then the game continued for many more turns, which made it surprisingly exciting.
