most 3d games made in such a short amount of time generally looks terrible, but yours(and a few others) look absolutely amazing

zoarfy 2019-10-08 19:48

Thank you @nachtwitch that is very nice to hear! Much appreciated!

theog 2019-10-08 20:46

Your transitions with the white background and the music look so pro, haha. You did a lot in this GameJam, so many 3D models and different levels. Thanks for the laugh when I realized what should be done with the chicken at the last level. Wonderful job! I'm something now ╰(*°▽°*)╯

so smooth graphics and adorable story. TY for this game! :)

Nice fading in of the text and animated cutscenes. The assets were also impressive given the amount of time you had. For the first puzzle, I'm not sure if the stool served any purpose when you become it. That confused me for a little. But overall, the visual look and music really carried the mood and feel of the game. Great work!

joeshanahan 2019-10-08 21:13

Wow, this was really great! The music and the soft transitions give it a really great mood. The puzzles were enjoyable, and the solutions often quite funny too. I love the "nimnimnim" noise that some of the people make.

The game is sometimes a little hard to control, being able to "become something" sometimes took a couple of attempts, but that's only a small thing. Also, not sure if it was a choice or not, but I would prefer things like turning the light on/off or barking to happen only once every spacebar press, instead of every single frame. Would just be the difference between Input.GetKey and Input.GetKeyDown.

Overall, I liked this one a lot! Fantastic job.

Very nice game, I like the concept and the puzzles are fun to figure out. The collision is weird for both moving around and becoming things. The frog jumping sometimes worked and sometimes barely jumps. The 3D animation is great, a lot of work went into objects that aren't part of the solutions. A good sense of humor as well. Good work!

This is the best game I played in this jam so far. It's so smooth and that makes it special. Keeping writings simple and fun is a great positive thing and engages player. Aproaching theme in a kind of philosophical way is creative and exciting to see. Graphics also fits your theme.

@theog thank you very much for your kind feedback. I'm glad you liked the transition screens, I'm embarrassed at how janky the code behind that is (that's what happens at 3am Sunday I guess lol!)

zoarfy 2019-10-09 01:12

@twinsides Glad you liked it, thank you for taking the time to play it!

@saltfactory-studio Thank you for the kind feedback! Yes, the bench is a bit weird - the original plan was for everything to be a controllable object, but when I had to cut things, the bench ended up being one of the only things left as a non-essential possessive. Definitely a bit weird now haha but I'm glad you liked it!

@joeshanahan Glad you enjoyed it Joe! (And that nimnimnim noise was definitely not me recording in the early hours of the morning haha) Thank you for that tip - I felt the same way and couldn't quite sort it out in time, will definitely be updating it to include that change. Thanks!

@toppervideogames Thank you for playing and I'm glad you enjoyed it! The collision was the bane of my Sunday haha. I unfortunately had to give up on fixing the frog, but it's high on my post-jam fix list! Thanks!

@despdair Thank you very much! I'm glad you liked the writing :)

Really cool game! Cool gameplay ideas and music :D

awerar 2019-10-09 15:48

Solid game. Loved the idea! The controls felt a bit wacky though.

whatnamegames 2019-10-09 18:10

Damn, really well made and looks pretty good too, the chicken was adorable too, feels good to play too.

paulhocker 2019-10-10 02:37

this game grew on me -- it was very well designed and really enjoyed it -- thanks for making it

niborious 2019-10-12 02:30

The visuals and concept have me hooked. Web build when? :3

thepiratenun 2019-10-12 04:35

I really liked the idea and the execution of this game! The simple text and music was very powerful in this context, and I think it really creates a nice mood. It was also really great to see it develop from start finish with a clear and unique message. I think there are a few bugs to squash with this game, and i feel like the controls could be a bit more natural, but those are certainly worth working around to experience this awesome game! I hope this turns into more in the future!

msamyel 2019-10-12 06:40

Such a nice take on the theme. Loved the music and the overall mood of the game. The objects were glitchy and my dog's owned got stuck below the ground. I liked the comics-like visualization of barking and clucking, that was very cute.

jk5000 2019-10-12 15:13

The idea, story and mood in this game is really good. The controls is okay, but could have been better. Overall a pretty good jam game. Well done.

dock-frankenstein 2019-10-12 18:06

Very interesting.

projectaroid 2019-10-13 19:34

Great presentation and interesting play on the theme. Really nice game!

kirbloid 2019-10-26 22:59

Cartoony 3D graphics were really fun to see and this game together really nicely! I like the theme and how you tackled the jam with it. Great job!
