This is a super awesome submission! I liked the simple style, and the game play was very well designed. Awesome job implementing multiple levels also!

This is a super awesome submission! I liked the simple style, and the game play was very well designed. Awesome job implementing multiple levels also!
This was a pretty cool game, and I liked the soundtrack! It was tough to figure out some of the puzzles though, and the controls seemed a little sluggish at times. Overall, great job though!
That was a super cool game! I loved all the comments on the screen, they really added to the character of the game. And the camera view and interactions were very smooth. Overall, great job!
Wow, this is the coolest game I've seen in the jam so far! I really loved the concept, and the game play was just enjoyable. The visuals were simple and nice, and I was extremely impressed by your ability to create an actual mood in a game jam game. It's also super cool that you wrote and recorded the music yourself, because that's super difficult to pull off in 72 hours. Overall, that was amazing!
This is a really nice game! I loved the satisfying movement and the strong core mechanic. I also think the sounds fit the visuals quite nicely. I think this game could have used its own internal theme (for example, maybe it has a greek style because it uses pillars, so the hero is wearing spartan armor). Overall, I really enjoyed it though!
I really enjoyed checking this game out! The core mechanic is super clever (though frustrating haha) and it was super fun to figure out new controls every so often. The art was really charming, and sounds created great ambiance and added a lot of character to the game, so awesome job. I loved it!
@awix Thanks for playing! What would you suggest for improving the music for next time?
I had a great time playing this game, and I loved how the dead enemies could be used in many different ways. The game play is satisfying, but I think there is a lot more that I would have loved to see with this game, like a little more complex graphics or more levels maybe. Overall, amazing job, though!
I thought this was a really cool submission, and amazing work for 48 hours alone! I couldn't quite make it to the end because of that level (I think the fourth) will all of the mushrooms and enemies, but I had a blast playing what I did! One of the only notes I would give this is that the movement is a sluggish and awkward, which makes it harder to get through the puzzles. Very smart way to use the theme, I loved the soundtrack, and overall, great job!
This was a super cool mechanic to play around with, and I hope you turn it into a full game at some point! The art and the music have nice character also! Nice Job!
This is a cool game! I loved the mix between tower defense and resource management, and the graphics looked awesome! The biggest note I can give is that the lack of any tutorial or explanation of the mechanics and controls made for a rocky start in playing it. But other than that, I enjoyed playing it! Didn't quite beat it, but I think I could've in another game or two, so nice job balancing. Overall, an awesome game!
Nice game! It was pretty fun, and the mechanics are pretty well made! I liked how you incorporated the theme into the gameplay. I think the game could use a slight bit more polish around the visuals and around the general feel of the game, but the core gameplay is there. Well done!
Nice entry! I really liked the gameplay, and it felt very polished! The music served the mood of the game very well too because it was paired nicely with the graphics. I just didn't really see how the theme fit into the game very much. Other than that, I had a great time, and I really loved the game!
Nice Submission! The gameplay was enjoyable, and I was super impressed with the visuals (the graphics and animations both looked perfect!). It was a bit easy, and I think the music was nice but a little bit repetitive over time. I loved the sound effects though, and the moving background was a very nice touch. Overall, awesome job!
Wow that was a really cool game! I loved the style to it, and it was very impressive that there was that much well balanced content in there! I think the music could have been slightly (veeeeery slightly) more tailored to the graphics, but they were still a pretty nice match. It was fun to play, and I enjoyed it all around. Amazing Job!
Nice Game! Unfortunately my audio isn't working (I didn't rate audio or mood), but the rest of the game was very enjoyable! The graphics were charming and I think the gameplay is a really strong concept! I would love to see some more content in this game. Well done!
Awesome game! I think it was a little bit of a quick start into the game, but once I got the hang of it, it was really fun! The game looked great and the movement felt very nice! I also loves the audio, because it really created an interesting and mysterious atmosphere. I think the game would have benefited with some more explanation of the mechanics and gameplay (and maybe some more sound effects), but it was over all very well done!
Awesome Job! My high score was 2356. Really innovative mechanics, and I liked the visual atmosphere of the game a lot. I do think the music could have served that atmosphere a bit better, maybe making it a little easier to be immersed in the mood. I did really like the teleport sound though!. I definitely did enjoy playing. Overall, amazing game!
For only a little bit of time, this is a great submission! It was fun to play, and I think with some more development it could be a really cool full game! The simplicity was nice, and it was very easy to pick up on the gameplay. Nice Job!
I really like this game, and I found myself continuing to play it after I had discovered everything just because it was nice. The visuals were charming and simple, and it felt like I was making my own music. I just think this super cool! Can't wait to see future development!
This was very interesting! I think the terminal concept was very cool, and the game itself has a lot of potential. The graphics were really cool, but I think it could use a bit more balance. I couldn't get very far before running out of ammo and getting shot. Overall, this was a really cool game!
This was a really cool game! The puzzles (at least the ones that I got through haha) were very well designed, and the concept is very cool as well. The idea fits the theme in a very clever way, and I'm excited to see where this game goes in the future. Well done!
I really liked this game!! The mood was super cool, I love the concept, and it was executed very well. I think some of the levels make it really difficult to manage ammo, so I couldn't personally finish it, but nonetheless it was very interesting. Nice Job!
I really loved this game! It has a super cool mechanic that is very unique and executed extremely well. The puzzles are difficult (I got stuck around 13), and the mood is really cool. Awesome job, and I can't wait to see where this game goes in the future!
I really loved the vibes and the mood that this game creates! It is certainly very satisfying to get the right answer, but I think it's not quite obvious enough in certain scenarios. It would at least be great to have a hint button or something that will help you find the answer. I unfortunately got stuck and wasn't able to finish it, but I loved the visual style and the music in what I did see, and the entire concept is very cool. Well done!
I really enjoyed this little game! The environment is very nice to explore, and the visuals are very pretty. I also enjoyed the music! I loved the character that shone through in the messages in the bottles as well. I think if this game was given a bit of conflict, it would be very cool. I didn't make it to the end my self, but it seems like this game has a very nice start to finish cycle as well. Nicely done!
Wow, this was a really incredible entry! I just loved the graphics to death, and the combinations of them and the nice sounds made it very immersive. I like how you mixed up the Galaga style gameplay with gun upgrades, and the final boss battle was insanely intense! I personally wasn't able to finish it, but it is definitely a reasonable challenge (though I wouldn't have minded an extra life or two) (maybe as a pick up after the gun is fully upgraded?). Wonderful job!!!
I really liked this game! I think the graphics were certainly the strongest feature, and it just feels very finished. i personally didn't get to the end of the game, but I think the sense of progression in the game is evident throughout. I think the music added to the experience a lot, and the core story is a very interesting take on the theme. If the controls were cleaned up a bit, I think this could easily be made into a bigger game!
That's a very interesting concept, and I think it fits the theme very well. I think gameplay could be spiced up a little bit, maybe with some mini games or faster play mechanics. The music was very charming (shout out to the vibraphone parts), and I think it created the atmosphere of a quaint little environment. Nice Job!
I really enjoyed this game! The idea was very solid, and the mix of mechanics between combat and trading really worked well. I thought the graphics were amazing, the music served them well, and I can't wait to see this game further extended! Awesome job!
Wow, I really loved this game! The gameplay was incredibly enjoyable, and I was extremely immersed in the world you created. The graphics looked great, and the audio came together to form a really exciting atmosphere. The ending was perfect, and I really enjoyed it through and through! The only thing that took me slightly out of the experience was the fact that you can just push yourself against a wall and use the force gun to propel yourself upwards, so it took away a little bit of the fun of planning out each jump perfectly. But other than that, incredible job!
I thought that this was a nice entry! The graphics were great, and the animations all looked really nice! I also enjoyed the music, and I think it fit the style very well. It is also very rare to see cut scenes in jam games, so props for that! I think the game play could use a little bit more, because the core mechanic is somewhat simple and has been used a lot. Other than that, great job!
This is a very cool game! The concept is very interesting, and fits the theme very well. I think it would be nice if the gameplay was sped up to make the flow of play a bit quicker, but I thought the simple visuals were nice as well. The jam version certainlky could use some more audio, but it sounds like you're already on it! Great Job!
I really loved this! Super spooky atmosphere, and the audio and visuals worked together super well. Amazing job, and I can't wait to see this game further down the road!
Nice game! This is a very interesting way to interpret the theme, and I think it is very well executed. The graphics look nice, and the gameplay is very interesting. I found it a little bit difficult with only 7 actions per day, but I definitely think there is a learning curve. Well done!
I thought this was a nice entry! The gameplay was pretty tense, but I think i would have preferred it if you could move around while throwing things. I also don't really understand how this relates to the theme. With a bit more polish and balancing in the gameplay, I think this could become a cool game!
This was a nice and simple entry! The gameplay was pretty fun, and i think that the graphics and sound came together well. I would have liked some more sound and maybe music, though, and some of the graphics could have been a bit more fitting with the vibes of the game. Overall, nice job though!
Well done getting it done! Not everyone can even say that they finished a project, so great job getting through it!!!
I really loved the mood that was established between the graphics and the music choice, and i think it was very well done as far as the puzzles go. I agree with some of the other comments that a little bit more clarity as far as what can and can't be interacted with would be great. Other than that, amazing job!
I thought this was a very interesting idea! The upgrades were really fun to save up for, and I really appreciate the amount of them that you put in. I think this game could use some sort of enemy or combat to make it all feel a little more worth it. But with that being said, i totally think this could be a bigger game project later! Nice Job!
I thought this was a great game! The movement felt pretty nice, and I really liked the audio design. The concept is really cool, and I could totally see this becoming a more full game with some time! I think the graphics were really adorable, but the different pixel sizes in different parts of the scene took me out of it a little bit. Other than that, I really enjoyed it!
I really enjoyed this game! It had a super cool concept, and it was executed very well. The graphics were super polished and the music fit very well, and these both came together to make a super solid mood. I didn't get to finish it (stopped by a bug where boosting sideways into a ground panel got me stuck), but the presence of a boss battle is a huge feat for a jam game. I think there could have been a little more explanation of where to go early on, because I felt like I was just wandering around, but other than that, awesome job, and I can't wait to see what comes of this game in the future.
I really loved this game! It was super fun to play, the art style was super cute, and the descriptions were very funny. The music suited the mood very well, and I had a great experience start to finish!
I had a nice time playing this game, but I think that it might be a bit too difficult. I thought the simplicity was nice, and the audio felt pretty good in relation to the visuals. Nice!
Cool game! The combat felt pretty good and you choose the music well to match the nice visuals. Awesome Job!
That was really fun! I feel like this could totally be extended out in a larger game! The graphics were charming, and I feel like the music gave it a very distinct atmosphere! Nice!
This was a very nice idea, but I think it could use a bit more polish in the graphics and the audio to make it feel more complete. I liked the descriptions though, they were quite funny! I'd love to see some more content in this game as well! Nice Job!
I really liked the idea and the execution of this game! The simple text and music was very powerful in this context, and I think it really creates a nice mood. It was also really great to see it develop from start finish with a clear and unique message. I think there are a few bugs to squash with this game, and i feel like the controls could be a bit more natural, but those are certainly worth working around to experience this awesome game! I hope this turns into more in the future!
I thought this was a very artistic and interesting experience. You did a great job using every aspect of the design of the game to convey the message and the mood, and it came together in a very unique experience that felt like flipping the pages of an interactive storybook. I really can't wait to see more of this style of game, because it is really well executed and shows just what can be done. A testament to the power that games can have as an art form. I think there are certain instances where the audio could have served the overall feeling of the game slightly better, but overall it is still very awesome! Wonderful!
Nice submission! It's very simple and putting the picture together is very nice. I think it could use some music and maybe more hints to make it a little easier, but other than that, nice job!
I really liked this game! This is probably one of the most interesting concepts I've seen in a while, and it is executed very well. I love the graphics, and the audio is really cool too. Well done!
This was a super interesting game! I think the graphics were very cool, and I loved the character design. The audio added to the game in a very interesting way as well. Nice!
That's a very interesting game! The whole concept is funny, and the execution of it is great! Nice voice acting too!
This was a super funny game! I really enjoyed the wacky physics behind it, and I think with a bit of polishing, this could become a much bigger game. Nice Job!
Wow, that was incredible! I really loved it from start to finish; it is just infused with so much character and so much love that it all really shines through. The voice acting and music were both absolutely wonderful, and it is insane the amount of content that you guys were able to fit in. I really hope you make this into a more full game, because I think it is absolutely great. Awesome job!
This game established a really cool mood, and the graphics and the audio both served this very well. I think the theme was used very well also, and it was a very interesting idea. I think with a bit more development, this can become a super cool project!
This was a very cool game! I thought the concept was very interesting and fun on a gameplay level, but it could use a bit more complexity to make it a little bit more replayable in the future. The graphics were simple but very effective, and the music and audio served the game very well. Nice Job!
This was a very interesting concept! I thought it was very cool, and executed well in the time given. I think it could be cool in the future to bring in music as opposed to only sound effects as well. Overall, great job!
I thought this was a very cute submission! The graphics looked really great for a jam game, but I think that it's held back a little bit by the finicky camera and controls. I really did enjoy seeing the world though!
I thought this was very interesting! I think it was a bit tough to figure out what does what, so maybe more intuitive item names could work? I really loved the audio and the visuals though, and the text was very funny! Well done!
This was a very neat little game! I really likes the concept, and I think with some more balancing and audio and things like that, it could be really cool! Nice Job!
I really enjoyed this game! I couldn't quite finish it (i got stuck on the spikes under the water), but I thought it was very well done. It felt very complete as far as the balancing and level design goes. The graphics were charming, and the sound fit the visuals well. i do think it could have used some background audio, but it still fit together very well. I also loved all of the humorous touches! Awesome!
I thought this was a very clever idea, but the slightly tough control and lack of explanation of what to try to do and what to avoid was a little bit difficult. I liked the representations of anxiety, and the poem was very cute, but I think it could use a bit more time on the idea side and in the implementation to be great. Overall, Nice job though!
I thought this was a very interesting entry! The music was very charming, and the whole premise was very humorous. I like the concept, but I think it could be implemented a little more effectively to make it easier to understand and control. Overall, I enjoyed it, though. Well Done!
This was a very charming little game. The concept was interesting and fit the theme very well, and the graphics were very cute. Well done!
I thought this was a super cool entry! I loved the style between the visuals and the music, and the dialogue was really well written. I think the combat system worked well and is scalable, but at least at this stage, I think the enemies may have been a little bit difficult. Also, I thought it was really nice touch to make the faded go for your camel sometimes (maybe it could be cool if the camel had more use?). Overall, this was a really cool entry, and I can't wait to see it further developed.
This was a really cool game! Apparently I can't survive the desert :( But it was really fun to try! The graphics are wonderful and the music gives it a very playful vibe that i like very much. Well Done!
I liked this game! Very simple, and the text was very funny! Well Done!
I thought this was a nice little game! The graphics were very charming, and I loved the concept behind it. The audio was nice as well, and worked to create the nice mood throughout the game. I love the exploration of this game, and I think it could be incredible if paired with some more player-involved gameplay. I think it could also be cool for the world to appear even more gradually, maybe with the use of more stages. I really enjoyed it overall, though!
This was a fun one! I think it would help to have a bit more explanation about how to play, but I figured it out after a little bit of clicking around. I also found it very difficult, considering the second level started with a ton of turrets and not much cover. It wouldn't have been too bad if there was a checkpoint at the start of each level, but instead it brings you back to the start. I like the basic mechanics though, and I think it mas potential with a bit more development. Nice Job!
This is a super cool little game! I really enjoyed the graphics, and the colors really gave it a cool mood and feel. I think if this game has a little bit of bug fixing and polish (you can jump infinitely when pressed against a wall and sometimes I would just get randomly turned around) it would feel even better. i also think, it might be nice to make respawning a little quicker to make the game flow a little better. It's a very interesting concept, and it was very fun to aim the mushrooms and get better with trial and error. I really liked it and I hope you keep developing it moving forward!
Well done! I really liked the core of this game, the orbit idea with a bit of resource management is super cool! I think it would be cool to see the orbiting play into the game a little bit more than it did, because I really enjoyed the moments when I realized how to aim based on the orbits and things like that. I enjoyed the simple graphics, and the music was well done also. I think the sound effect could use a little more variation, but we all know content is tough to make in such a short time. I'd love to see more content in this game and I hope you keep working on it and refining it. Awesome job!
Well done, I really liked this game! Nice job balancing in the time frame of a game jam (that's always so tough), and it feels really good to play! It was a nice touch to have an element of the personal life as well! The mood was very nice, and the art style and music worked very well together. I think this game could just use a little bit of visual polish and a bit more variety on the audio side and it would be pretty perfect. Awesome job, and I hope you keep developing this moving forward!
Dang this was a super fun game!
The visuals were super well done! I find it honestly hard to believe that all of that content was made in one weekend! Well done! Everything looks good and fits in the style very well.
The gameplay itself is very fun! I love how chaotic the game gets over time. As far as balancing goes, it was very good, but I did feel like it was kind of easy to keep the fuel up. Maybe a consequence for blowing up the other cars or a more quickly diminishing fuel tank would help? Well, better for it to be too easy than too hard!
The audio on this is absolutely killer! The soundtrack slaps, and the voice saying all of the foods honestly really adds to the personality of the game. Awesome job!
All of this stuff really came together to make a solid mood. The game style and personality from every element, and they all serve each other. Awesome job with uniformity between the different pieces of the puzzle.
Awesome job, well done, and an extra shoutout to whoever came up with ratstick!
This was a really cool game! I loved the mood; the really interesting and dark graphics style as well as the 2d assets worked really well with the music/ambient sounds. I think it would have been nice to have slightly more movement speed, because it just felt a bit sloggy at times, but that also does contribute to the overall spooky feel. It would have been nice to have a bit more communication about what the temperature indicator means in realtion to the enemies. It would be nice to know what that indicates. The balancing could have slightly more difficult in the early levels, and the later levels felt impossible, but balancing is very tough for jams anyway! Awesome job, cool game!
This was a nice idea! I really enjoyed the visual style and the lighting. I think the gameplay could use some tweaking because it felt like there were just a few too many things to manage and move around. the audio matched the style pretty well, but I think some background music would be awesome as well. Overall, I enjoyed it, well done!
Super interesting game! It was certainly not what I was expecting! The mood you put together with the office was very fun, and to mess with that once the pet comes out was really fun to see. I also think the music really adds to the experience, so awesome job. I think if this was paired with gameplay with a bit more substance it could be a really awesome experience because the story of it is very intriguing. Awesome job!
@dceddy7 Thanks for the suggestion! We made it so that esc now resets the player into areas with more asteroids. And thanks for playing!
@peachtreeoath Thanks so much for playing, and we're so glad you enjoyed! We are really glad other people are enjoying the effects and the gameplay!
@prototype-jon @jajo Thanks so much for playing, and glad you guys like the main character! If you were curious, his name is Winchel!
@kent-reese @MiltonNH25 @MuchoBestoStudio @cadstor @sorko @johnnysix Thanks so much for playing and for the feedback!
@herrybiscuit Thanks for playing, and I totally get your point about the tutorial. We appreciate the feedback!
@subspace We really appreciate the feedback! Balancing the indicators without making them overwhelming was a challenge, so we'll definitely keep refining that.
@fatpenguin Glad you enjoyed and thanks for playing! We were trying to avoid hand-placing asteroids, but it definitely does lead to some tough situations. We'll keep refining the asteroid system moving forward! Thanks for all the ideas!
@goffmog Glad you liked Winchel and the music! Thanks for the play!
@henrycgs Yes that is dynamic music, thanks so much for noticing! :)
The visual style was very cool, and I think with some more development of the gameplay this could be a cool project!
Wow I really loved this game! That's such an interesting idea, and executed very well! The gameplay feels very nice, and it's supepr fun to get better at aiming as it goes on. I would suggest making a limit on how fast the player can shoot, because for me, aiming was the most fun part. But, there were some levels where the dominant strategy was to just spam the shoot button while letting the gun spin. I also feel like there was definitely something fun about letting the gun spin and having to line up shots that way (could be an interesting mode to explore). The graphics were simple but served the game really well, and the level titles added a lot of personality to the game. I think that's one of the reasons why I liked this so much: this game is absolutely dripping with personality! The awesome groovin' soundtrack hooked me in right away, and all of the sound effects really added to the experience and fit right in. it's also super rare to see more than a few levels in a jam game, so amazing job getting together a good amount of content! Well done and I look forward to seeing where this game goes in the future!
Super cool game, I really enjoyed it!!! My high score was 225. The controls felt smooth and the enemies were understandable but still challenging. I loved the opening, and the mood you created with the audio and the graphics was really great. I really loved the levels when the design played with the lighting mechanic a lot, like the level with all of the circles. I think the shining light is an area where this game really shines (hahahah) so its awesome to see other aspects of the design lean into that. I'd love to see a campaign mode or something like that that includes checkpoints and gives the room to tell more of a story, cause I really love the world you created here. Wonderful game, awesome job!
This was a super interesting game! that core mechanic of the obstacles destroying the platform and not Alfred is really cool and there's a lot of room to expand on that. The visuals were clear and communicated what they needed to, though there were 1 or two times were I wasn't exactly sure why the platform was destroyed. But again, with some more levels and development, this could be a super cool project. Nice Job!
This was a super cute little game! The visuals and the audio were really nice and created a nice mood. unfortunately, the controls with turning around really kept me from enjoying the gameplay as much as I could have. I think if that could be ironed out this would be a really great project! I still enjoyed though, great job!
Wow, this was a pretty incredible game! I really enjoyed the visual style, it was really stunning throughout. The audio was also awesome! Great music, and the voiceovers were a really well done touch that add a lot to the feel of the theme. The mood you guys created was really awesome, and had such a distinct style and personality that makes it really special! The gameplay was very tense and fun, though at times I found it extremely difficult to get the bodies back to the house. So, I didn't have as many opportunities as I would've liked to try out the body cutting mechanic. Overall though, it was a really cool project, probably the most polished game I've seen this jam. Awesome job, and I hope to see this game get some more love in the future!
This was a really nice game! The graphics were absolutely beautiful, and the calm music added to that to really make a nice mood! The movement was pretty tough at first but got easier over time, maybe you could control looking around with the mouse? Overall I really enjoyed this and I hope to see this expanded and added to in the future!
This was a super cute game! I enjoyed the style, and the voice acting was super fun as well! I think this game could use a bit more balancing, considering i was able to beat the game pretty easily by placing down a bunch of honey producing bees at the beginning. I also came across a bug (hahahaha) at one point where my honey dipped (hahahaha) into the negative. Overall I had a good time! Well done!
@clipper Had a great time playing! :)
Well done, I really liked this game! The graphics looked really great, and the overall mood that you got with the music and the lightning along with the graphics was really great. The gameplay was fun and scaled up at a nice pace to make each game quick. I really appreciate the map in the corner, because once I figured out that I should use it, it made everything more manageable. Awesome job, and please keep working on this!
I think this game has a really cool hook and I really like how the moving between bodies mechanic works! The soul powder mechanic was also a really good addition! I think it could definitely use a lot more polishing and bug testing moving forward (keep fiddling with the play speed and the different animations to make it feel more grounded), but well done on making 7 levels for a game jam! I also think the tutorial would work a lot better as an in-game tutorial, but I know that's tough to do for a jam. Well done!
This was a cool game! I really enjoyed the visual style and the mood that you set up with the ambient audio as well. I think more gameplay would suit this game really well, and further development of the story that you presented would be super cool too! Overall I enjoyed it, well done!
This was a nice submission! The escalation of the fires and the audio on them really makes for a stressful and interesting experience. I think there are definitely ways to add to this to make it into a bigger project! Well done!
Well done i enjoyed this game! It was really fun because of simplicity, but I think a bit more difficulty scaling as the game goes on would make it even better. Nice Job!
Wow, I really loved this!! I know everyone's saying this, but the Limbo style is really awesome and looks great in this game! The graphics are super well done, and honestly, silence suits this game pretty well (and that's coming from an audio guy!). It could probably use some ambient sounds to make it breathe a bit, but I think that it's good to make it feel empty like it is now. I think if this game had a bit more substantial gameplay it would be even more incredible. but the story is chilling, the game looks good, and it's one of my favorites of this jam! Awesome job!
This was a fun game! I liked the simplicity of it and I think it served the mechanic well. I think a more unified art style and some more audio/music would be really great in this one. The boss battle was really fun, and because the boss had such interesting movement it made me really wanna keep trying. But even after a couplle of tries I couldn't beat the boss - he's a tough one! I had fun, well done!
Interesting game! I really enjoyed the mood that you set up with the dark lighting and the cool music! I couldn't find any ammo, and I felt like the movement was very slow. Well done on the mood though, and I hope you keep working on this in the future! It's definitely got potential!
Wow this was super cool! The visuals were really nice and I loved your use of color as the game went on. The audio was really great, I loved the music all the way through and it fit the vibe of the game super well. The mood was super well constructed, I really enjoyed how the visuals and the audio played together. The gameplay had a really nice learning curve, and I really loved all of it!! Well done guys!! (This is Zach from USC btw @heyycap !)
I absolutely loved this! The humor was really on point and I loved the innovation on the theme! The writing definitely has some vibes similar to The Stanley Parable in how the player is encouraged to go against what the game/narrator is telling them to do. I really enjoy that type of game! I would love to see this story layered with some additional gameplay, I think that could really make this concept shine on a larger scale. Well done!
This was a super cool game! First and foremost, the visuals are stunning! Everything looks so nicely stylized and the lighting is really great for conveying the mood that the game is going for. I also really liked how the radio worked, it added a ton to the vibe when I would switch it over to some slow guitar music after a hard day's work! It took me a little while to figure out the loop of the game and how to use the map and all of that, but when I figured it out and I got the "signal received" message on the radio, it was really satisfying. It felt like after I figured it out there wasn't too much more to do other than go through the loop and enjoy the atmosphere, so I would love to see more things to shake up the gameplay a bit quicker. But once again I had a great time, well done!
Really cool game! It was super awesome watching the character move, it was really unexpected but I thought it was super great! I was also super surprised to see that I could break anything in the world! I really love the system! At times things could feel a little bit sluggish, and I also wasn't totally sure which blocks I could stand on top of and which I would fall through. That being said, I would totally love to see different goals brought into this super cool idea (racing, pvp, etc.)! Well done!
Really cool game! Love the concept, and the art looks really nice! I unfortunately wasn't able to experience as much of the story and the level as I would've liked because I was spending a lot of time on some of the platforming sections. This was also tough because of the lack of checkpoints. But I really liked the effects and the music was nice! Well done!
I thought this was a super fun idea! I really like the approach to the theme that you took, it was really clever! I think in practice there was a just a bit too much going on with not enough feedback to have things make sense. The things that I needed to be balancing were not clear and it was tough to get a sense of the current status of different elements, how they are changing, what the cause is, etc. But I can imagine how cool of a system there is driving this whole game, so I would love to see more in the future!
This was a really nice little game! I really enjoyed the mood, it was really relaxing and nice to just be in the environment. I think the controls were a little bit awkward at first, but once I got used to them, I was able to stack the stones a little bit. It would be really cool to see more extension on this idea, maybe making ways to make it harder or more varied. I really enjoyed it, well done!
Really cool idea! I didn't feel like I had very much control over the outcome though because everything was moving so quickly and bounces were really hard to read. I would maybe start by making the play area smaller and slow down the boxes movement a little bit (maybe mess with the gravity?), I think that would give some more player choice. I think the concept of mixing the chemicals combined with the stacking was really cool though, well done!
Really nice job for your first jam game! The art style was nice and the colors definitely gave off a pretty clear mood. I think one thing that I would really focus on at this stage is making sure the player understands what is happening at any given moment. At the beginning of the game I didn't know the controls, so it took me a little while to get used to that. And once I was in the battle, it was a little bit hard to tell when I was getting hurt and when I was doing damage to the enemy. More feedback generally would be a big help: more visual changes, audio cues, etc. when something in the game changes. I know it's a jam so it's really tough to make that content in time, but just something to think about. Well done once again on finishing your first game, that's often the toughest part! Can't wait to see what else you make!
Really interesting idea! I loved how the heat and steam each were important to different aspects of gameplay, keeping them in balance really felt important. The visuals looked really nice as well! I think it was a little bit hard to understand where colliders were and what interacted with what (lasers going through walls felt a little bit odd). But overall awesome job, I thought it was cool!
I can certainly get the feeling of instability in this game! I wasn't too sure what was going on, it was a bit unclear to me what the keys looked like, how to navigate the space, what caused my health to go down, etc. I think the game would really benefit from giving the player more feedback. I didn't know whether my actions were getting me closer or further away from the goal, so I wasn't able to learn the gameplay very well. Great job getting it done though and I can't wait to see what else you make!
This was a cool game! The gameplay definitely felt very unstable, so great job bringing the theme in! It took a while for me to figure out how each of the buttons changed the level, so it would have been nice to have a bit more of a tutorial that allows the player to explore that a little bit. Overall, good job!
i definitely think this was a cool concept! i was a bit unclear on how the dialogue choices worked, i thought that they were different branches but the next set of choices still had one of each category regardless of what you said. i think a bit more feedback for the player just to know what is working and what isn't as well as how the game is flowing would be really helpful. i had a fun time exploring, nice work!
this was a cool game! I really likes the models for the player and the enemies, they had a lot of good character. I felt like the game might've been more fun with a bit more energy overall, maybe faster movement, more enemies, etc. I know balancing during a jam is a nightmare though lol. I had fun, well done!
this was really nice! really good feel and mood, it felt like a really well defined world. the gameplay got a bit repetitive after a while so maybe speeding up the balance a bit would be nice, but i still really enjoyed it! well done!
@lilianc hey there, thank you so much for the kind words! we're a mostly game jam team, this was our 7th Ludum Dare together! we finished and released our last game on steam so you could kind of say we're an indie studio, but we are all primarily 2nd year college students at different schools studying games!
I was a bit skeptical at first, but as I played I really felt this nail the experience of just being annoyed by windows popping up. Super interesting take on the theme, I really enjoyed it! I would find some ways to make the audio a bit less harsh, other than that I had a great time!
this was a super cute little game! i really liked the decision to break up the mechanics and add them in slowly as pieces of the story, it really gave everything some new interest. i would have enjoyed it if things got a bit more intense, cause i generally found it pretty easy, but i know balancing is really tough during a jam. well done!
this was really interesting! i really enjoy the exploration of choice in this environment, it's a cool way to interpret the theme and the source material. i think i would have enjoyed a bit more of the illusion of choice within the game itself, giving the player the opportunity to think that they were affecting the game could have made the realization that there is no choice that much more powerful. just an idea, i really did enjoy how you approached it. beyond that, i think this idea could be extended out in multiple ways, either in multiple genres or a slightly longer form story. well done!
this was super cute! the animations were super clean, well done! i think my biggest piece of feedback is just having more variation in the map because it got repetitive pretty quickly, but other than that it was a really good time. well done!
this was really great! the art was super great, and everything just felt really clean and well put together. i also LOVED the music, what did you use to make it? the stealth mechanics were really solid and felt really good, my one piece of feedback is that i would have liked to see some of the extra systems (searching in furniture especially) be tied more deeply into the main stealth mechanic. it kind of just felt like extra things to do, and it was easy to forget about it completely. i really had a great time with this, well done!
Nice job! I like the core ideas with the mechanics, I'm a sucker for any game with nice multiplying combos so the snowman really did it for me. It was a bit tough with the different containers, I thought the variation was nice but it felt bad when a container with no water came and I had goldfish :( I think spending some time to hash out the core mechanics a bit more and add some more details could leave a really great experience, great work I enjoyed it :)
Really cool! Well done collaborating with such a large team, that's a tough thing to pull off in a jam! I thought the game was very fun and charming, nice job with all of the level design! I think the camera could have used a bit of work, I would have liked full 360 degree motion while the ball was in motion so I could use my abilities a bit more effectively. The music was nice for the tone of the game, and I think it would have been nice to have a bit more processing and design on some of the sound effects to give them a bit more style and punch (though I love all the vocal sounds!). Super great work!
I really liked this!!! So sweet, such a nice reminder to appreciate the little things :) The art and writing were charming, and nice job with the music, it really set the tone well. Fun sound design too, it just really felt like this was a fun game to make. The deaths were always so jarring and out of nowhere, and I don't know whether I think it supports the game or takes away from it. I guess it just feels like something that's kinda true regardless of how I feel about it. Like real death maybe. Aaaaaaanyways... great job, I really enjoyed it! :)
Cute game! I liked the ability to name the slime :) I didn't really understand how the different slime colors affected the skill move, so the battles ended up being me just kind of making random choices between attacking and using the skill. Also, after winning 1 battle, I had what felt like a ton of currency and could buy a ton of things, it just felt like there wasn't much push and pull of not having enough money to buy everything. I think with some more time adding depth to the mechanics and teaching them to the player, this could be a really awesome bigger game! Nice work!
Cute game, I really liked it! The art was really great, and I liked the decision to keep the soundscape quiet and not have music. The attack was tough to get the hang of, I don't think I ended up killing a single spider. I honestly don't think it was entirely necessary, I felt like the appeal of the game was in the atmosphere and the interactions. I think spreading some of the quests out a bit and giving the player a few more opportunities to explore and be lost would help immerse them in the mood, but I know making and balancing a big map in a jam game is super tough! Really nice job!
Really cool! It took me a second to learn how to use the minions effectively, but once I got it I thought it was really interesting! Love the style of the character and the enemies, and the animations were a nice touch. It would be great to see this game with a bit more of a tutorial, and some audio as well, but I really enjoyed it! Nice work :)
Cute game! I really like the graphics, it's got a super clean style! The gameplay is pretty simple (which I totally get in a short game jam window), but I would have loved to see the core mechanics used in a few more ways to spruce it up before the game ended. Nice idea though, well done!
so cute! i had a really fun time with this, super fun characters, silly game that just made me smile! my favorite parts were the unique little interactable moments, like carving the stone with the shrimp, would love more of those! nice work :)
Nice work! Good job with the mood, it definitely had some good tension, especially when getting out of the sub. It definitely took a sec to figure out the controls and get oriented, it wasn't very intuitive to figure out which direction is up and down but I did kinda like that! I would have loved some more audio to sell the atmosphere a little bit more, the silence was nice but I thought it could use some more ambience to make it a bit more tense. Overall nice job!
