Great visuals, I really like how you integrated the tutorial in game, much easier to see than going into a different tab in a menu. The mechanics would've been perfect if you had some kind of sound effect when the steam and heat level reach a critical point. Overall it's really a great game.
Thank you very much, @transylvanian-blacksmiths! Unfortunately, time was cruel and we couldn't implement those kind of feedback in time.

Great graphics! The platforming is solid and combined with the clever mechanic of balancing the heat and steam makes for an enjoyable experience. I wish there were some checkpoints along the way, though, since starting over from the very beginning when you die is brutal.
Very cool mechanics, I really liked how you had to balance heat and steam. You made it so that balancing heat was actually meaningfull. Most implementations of that kind of mechanics I've seen usually break down to keeping the resources at the minimum or maximum - here optimal heat level was desired, as too low level would reduce jumping capabilities. I think it's pretty neat. The main thing holding it down for me was lack of checkpoints. I couldn't really get past the second long jump and each time I could only start over from the beginning. The ways to die were plenty - from heating up too much, overlooking steam levels, falling down, or even being trapped by AI unicorns. The checkpoints would really help here, especially because it's a jam game, so you probably would want to keep it a bit on the easier side, so that more players can see full work you did. Other than that, it's quite a fun game. Good job!
Thank you all very much!
@juutis and @lisek-gagatek: we'll keep the checkpoints in mind for the next jam (that might have been the "hardcore gamers" in us that took over during the design phase)
Innovative! It was tricky to balance both sliders, and took me a while to figure out what made the sliders go up or down, but I managed. :)
Thank you @mattwoelk! Glad you managed to figure it out - some of those interactions were not clearly indicated or notified because of a lack of time for visual effects. We'll keep it in mind for the next jam!
This is a very cool concept. The idea is original and the game really plays well. The graphics are gorgeous and music is very good as well. Bravo.

Very interesting game! I felt the invitation was something similar games lack while yours nails. Although as other people have said, it would have been nice to have a sound effect when the steam and heat levels reach critical.

I like the mechanic of having to manage the heat and steam and how it's tied to the player's actions. Having some sort of alert when the values get close to the threshold would be nice, but overall nice job!

Very nice overall, my controller was not working somehow, I don't know if it is an issue for the html5 version of something. I think it was already said, some SFX will help a lot for keep the balance between heat and steam. I has a fun time playing your game! Nice work!
Really interesting idea! I loved how the heat and steam each were important to different aspects of gameplay, keeping them in balance really felt important. The visuals looked really nice as well! I think it was a little bit hard to understand where colliders were and what interacted with what (lasers going through walls felt a little bit odd). But overall awesome job, I thought it was cool!
Very original idea and great design!! I liked that I could try out the different actions before really starting the game with the tutorial on the screen!

Very interesting idea and nice execution!
I found the connection between "heat", "steam" and the actions a bit unintuitive, maybe there is a better way to visually show how these statuses and actions influence each other. 🤔
And was this Beethoven in the background? 😅 :notes:
Cool graphics, cool idea, but you can see a lot of flaws, although for a jam is very good.
