Really cool game you got here, but the story is maybe too short? I didn't feel that much at the ending. But I guess it is hard to get something good in three days... Graphics are amazing, but gameplay isn't very engaging, but the story is the most important piece. Really good overall :)
Cool! You knocked it out of the park with the mood, graphics, and theme. The storytelling/dialogue is pretty solid. I felt it was kind of lacking in the fun department, but makes up for it in the other areas.
Solid little game with great atmosphere. A great first entry! I'm glad you learned a lot from doing this, that is so important!
Keep up the good work and see you next time!
Dark and mysterious - great look and feel!

the ambient is really cool, I did love the "limbo-like" tone for the game. However I do not know if it was an isolated thing, but at some moments it was extremely dark and couldnt see anything.

I absolutely love the dark painterly aesthetic. Impressive for a first attempt, keep it up! :)

Awesome Game! I didn't get any audio other than that it was really cool! I loved the artstyle!
Very well done. Loved the way the trees were drawn.

Art style is very nice!
Wow! Love the art style and execution! Super well done for compo. Awesome first submission. With some eerie music, this would be killer. Got a little flashback to Limbo, but still very original.

I'm sure you learned a lot about jam time management, but I can't stress it enough: make sure to reserve at least an hour, even in the first day, for SFX. Basic footsteps with some intense reverb and spider noises would have REALLY bumped up the atmosphere; music wasn't even needed in this game. You nailed everything else, good job.
@alaah Thank you for the advice, it's very much appreciated! Yeah, I definitely regret not being able to add in some creepy noises. I'll keep your advice in mind for the next jam and learn how to create some SFX on my own!
Few entries get tone right as well as this game does. With some sound and maybe a little more cohesion with the art style (though all around really good) you'd have really good indie title.

Aside from the lack of Sfx/Ambient dark music that could have added more mood, you did an amazing job with the theme that wasn't so literal 'thing dies, you lose' type game. This game was 100% story and the ending proves the player isn't always the only one keeping it alive. Excellent art, parallax effects, eeriness and some minimal but still fun gameplay dodging. Loved the game!

As other said music would be great for mood. And i would add some interaction indicator. I loved the game though. Especially the moment when you relalise what the pet really is.

Love the artstyle and the dark atmosphere, as others said some audio would do a lot but overall still great job!
Pretty spooky artsyle with Limbo aesthetics. Story suits well with it. I wish there is an ambient music as others said. Anyways, well done!

You built a nice starting point to create narrative / mood oriented game, as you first game jam, it's really good in this way. You have experienced the lack of time that we all have encountered at some point ^^. The atmosphere is slightly similar to the game i've created that's funny. Anyway, keep up creating and improving =).

Limbo vibes. With some polishing of the artstyle and some music, you could create some story around this.
Love the art and the ironic take on the theme! My only critique with the art is the roads and the walls of each room you had to go into look the same, and that confused me for a second. Awesome job!
Wow great job, this game has so much creepy atmosphere and you built a really great feeling story, it would be amazing with music, but for the time limit it's a brilliant entry.
Cool artstyle like in Limbo!)
Hello, i like your game, nice graphics. I'm a programmer looking for a graphic designer or a team to join and maybe work on new games, are you interested? email:m.shahiri.m@gmail.com my LudumDare Game: Social Distancing For Ladybugs

Nice game! I really liked that it has an ending. Cool artstyle, trees look quite original :) I had problem to "go in the forest" at first - didn't realize that there are paths from main road. This game could definitely benefit from some sounds and an ambient loop but I know it's not easy in compo. Good job
Whoa, this was a creepy game! In a lot of games, I don't care much about the text you get when you interact with things on the ground, but everything in this game was such a perfect mix of scary and funny that I was always curious to see what it said. The three-legged spider in particular was such a funny moment! I think some music (or probably just ambient sounds) could have helped a LOT in creating a mood, but even without that, you made an incredible atmosphere that made the game really intriguing from beginning to end. Great job!
This is incredibly well done, and it fits the theme in a creative way. Easily the best compo game I've played so far.

I cannot open it ot MacOS Catalina :(
Wow, I really loved this!! I know everyone's saying this, but the Limbo style is really awesome and looks great in this game! The graphics are super well done, and honestly, silence suits this game pretty well (and that's coming from an audio guy!). It could probably use some ambient sounds to make it breathe a bit, but I think that it's good to make it feel empty like it is now. I think if this game had a bit more substantial gameplay it would be even more incredible. but the story is chilling, the game looks good, and it's one of my favorites of this jam! Awesome job!
Cool game! I think it's pretty obvious that there was a lot more you wanted to do with the game but simply ran out of time for. That makes this a wonderful learning experience and I'm sure in your next jam you'll do even better.
The game itself is really mysterious, dark, and gloomy. It had a great atmosphere. I can only imagine how good it would feel if there were proper sound effects. Awesome submission dude, good luck!
Great aesthetic to the game. This game deserves a bit of sound design, and it would be even more haunting.
