The slime looks Cool

It's a nice game, however I think there's a problem where if you just click really fast, you can go through the first slime levels really fast and just win battles almost instantly, and then you get to a level where you instawin every battle. Other than that it is pretty fun as long as you dont abuse the above.

Cute game! I liked the ability to name the slime :) I didn't really understand how the different slime colors affected the skill move, so the battles ended up being me just kind of making random choices between attacking and using the skill. Also, after winning 1 battle, I had what felt like a ton of currency and could buy a ton of things, it just felt like there wasn't much push and pull of not having enough money to buy everything. I think with some more time adding depth to the mechanics and teaching them to the player, this could be a really awesome bigger game! Nice work!

Сute art style but I think it would be funnier to make an animation of the battle between slimes. But otherwise it's a cool game)

Well for 3 for quite a good result for those who are making a game on ldja for the first time. Add some animations and it would be better

It definitely looks cute. I was entertained for about 5 minutes which is great for a jam game.

I ended up abusing what @reyansh mentioned. It felt good to move so fast, like speedrunning, but once I was 1-shotting battles over and over it did lose appeal.

I wish the time that went into all the different food items went into something different in combat. I understand that might not have been possible.

Nice game. The skill effects were good and I liked the mechanic of changing type by eating the berries. The battles end a bit abruptly, not playing the animation of the final hit, especially when you win in one hit. Selling an item is infinite money as it doesn't remove the item. Is there a way to restart? Progress is saved so restarting the game doesn't help. Some nice ideas here but needs a bit more polish, some goal would have been good.

Severely disappointed and calling out that this person leaves ratings generated by chat gpt, not even editing out the fact that the screenshot and description was fed in:

Please stop this, it's lazy and the antithesis to what this community is about. Dreadful.

Reall cute art style, I especially like the wasp design!

You have a solid start here! I really liked the organization of the main screen, with navigation to different scenes like shop and battle. It was cute that I could name my slime :D

The main improvements I would recommend are: 1) Some more feedback in the battle: what is attack versus skill? How effective am I? Having to compare the two numbers and the changes is not as effective as something as simple as damage numbers rising up from the slime. 2) Fewer shop items: the food all seemed to do similar things. Why three different colors and three different sizes? I would simplify that, especially for a game jam. I don't think having more options was really necessary for my experience :)

Just some friendly suggestions! I enjoyed what you built. Thank you!

Game os good! But if i click too fast, i will any battle. Overall this qute concept)

jcourt 2024-10-22 13:10

The art is cute, and I like the slime. It seems like the colors have some effect of how effective the Skill is? I would like it to be a little more clear what the effect is, but the changing color is cool.

I do think I found a bug - when you try to sell an item that you have at least 1 of, it doesn't actually remove it from your inventory.

Quite funny, I wish I could add more special effects and sounds to the combat.

cutesy and simple!
