I love the art style!
replace your link :) I hardly understood what to do. but I liked it
Cool! Couldn't make the first potion, but I had fun! I'd make the descriptions more.. descriptive...
This is a unique idea for this theme. It was fun guessing which things worked together, but there doesn't seem to be an easy way to restart. If you go back to the main menu the game just continues on. Nice atmosphere and sounds, as well.
There doesn't appear to be any hints toward what ingredients go together, and with limited funds experimentation is both expensive and risky.
I gave it three shots and crafted nothing of value. Perhaps a guide of some sort would help?
Is a really hard game, but I appreciate the effort u put in it! The crafting is fun to discover xD
GJ!
I really really like this idea, but I think it needs work. Too many combinations did just nothing, and so i would just run out of money and restart again and again. Maybe if there were fewer ingredients and failures gave you some hint to what you could have done? Dunno. Spirit Spirits is adorable tho.
Nice Game man. I couldn't make my second potion but liked the graphics style.
@jahwffrey yeah, we know about the problem, we just ran out of time to fix that
I love the idea of the game but I failed to make a single potion. The art work is great and the UI is intuitive. The music and sound suits the style perfectly. I do have to echo the other comments regarding a little bit of feedback/hints about what may or may not combine. Otherwise, good job!
Your art style is adorable and you had really good idea for this jam! And... I enjoy your ingredients, I want to have this at home! :D Great job!
Cool concept. Took a few tries to get the first potion but manged to get the guy high lol
I love the idea with the door an people coming in and the game is really funny, I love reading all the weird requests people have. The audio works well, and the sprites are good.
It's hard but can still be hard to play, I just pressed back and then play each time I run out of money, and managed to make a few potions. I think the idea Jahwffrey gave of having failure teach you properties about an ingredient together with lower costs could make this game flow very nicely!
maybe combining zero/one ingredient should be disabled if it never makes anything anyway? I didn't find any two ingredients that make a potion too, only 3. when going back and starting a new game your money reset but you keep your past potions.
Overall very cool idea for the theme, nice work!
Love the concept! It would be great if there is a record keeping all the potions you made before. Very nice work overall!
It's a cool idea, but I struggled to get anywhere. I wish there was a way to learn what does what, unless I've missed something, it seems like it's just a pure guessing game.
Really great start! Looking forward to a more balanced version. Thanks so much for bringing it by the stream!
@erebus Thanks for playing it! Would you mind dropping us a link to the stream?

@erebus I appreciate it, thanks again so much.
good idea.I think it would be fun to start with fewer kinds of raw materials.
I always liked the crafting systems where you have to figure things out yourself, but with the cash limit, time limit and having to mix not 2 but 3 ingredients! this is just too much. I am giving my notes just because of how I like the concept and wish to have it improved to play it more.
- Start with either 2-ingredient potions and/or with a couple of ingredients available to get an idea of how to craft and what goes with what. - Some hints in the item description. - When you make more money you can purchase new ingredients to make more potions. Or can make the ingredients just show up. - A place/book/journal where you record successful potions, their effects and ingredients so that you can remake them again. - Add a lose state when you run out of money so that we don't have to relaunch the game.
I think I saw a game like this on steam a couple years back, but I'd definitely like to see of this style without the hand=holding in crafting.
@shenawy in the updated downloadable build we add better descripions for ingredients. WebGL build is original build. We have others in consideration.
As others have said it is quite tough, but conceptually it's very cool, and the art is super nice. Nice work!
I really enjoyed the art style, and the mood of the game but I had a very hard time understanding how to craft the potions needed.
Cool concept. Maybe you could have a potion cocktail menu and you have to guess what's in the potion based on the name of it. Either way great work!
Nice game.
Great game. I like how it invites you with pleasant music from the beginning. It was a bit hard to remember recipes, but using back-to-menu "feature" I managed to write some down ;)
Great, simple gameplay with nice sound effects and visuals. Keep it up! Cheers!
This game is awesome, i love the setting and the art work is great! Nice music too. It is difficult to figure out but i managed to hit 2/4 on the ones i tried, when you do create a successful potion i feel like writing them down, so if you are able to unlock a page in a little notebook that would show the potion, the ingredients used and the effects or something along those lines, that would be great.
I hope you carry on with this game and add some more variety to the requests (you chose some great ingredients and i think the descriptions are spot on) the only problem with experimenting is that you are giving the player restrictions on money which could mean that you cannot carry on - but then there has to be a penalty for getting it wrong as well as reward for remembering the right ingredients. Discovering the recipe by playing around when you have some basic knowledge is better than the whole thing being provided in my opinion like Z:BOTW's cooking, it makes logical sense but you can easily end up with "Dubious Food", so maybe just beef up the descriptions.
Great entry - surprisingly fun!
i agree with other comments here -- it was impossible to determine what to add as ingredients so it was basically picking random stuff -- except bones -- i knew i needed bones -- thanks for making it
Streng potion is the key :) just takes a little time to figure out how to make things :)
I played the original, WebGL build, and while I was able to craft a few potions I mostly just ran out of money over and over, as other people noted. Also, even when I gave the customer a potion, I often couldn't tell from their response whether they liked it or not. I'm gonna give the downloadable version a shot, too.
Awesome visuals and music, though.
I thought this was very interesting! I think it was a bit tough to figure out what does what, so maybe more intuitive item names could work? I really loved the audio and the visuals though, and the text was very funny! Well done!
