These games are difficult to play for me because they demand introspection that I avoid. I think the hardest part of growing older is letting go of those you held the closest, as life diverges naturally. This game felt bittersweet; Literally looking back as they wave, took a picture, after reminiscing struck something in me. But.. seeing them become me, fills my cup. I carry their memories with me; I am them. it's beautiful, and this game is a great representation of that. Thanks, guys.
The music is fantastic and really matches the vibes!
Normally I don't care that much for narrative games but this one slaps :cry:
Very beautiful and original. I actually felt a tug at my heartstrings when each character bid me farewell. Excellent work!
this is indeed original, feels like Tacoma (awesome game btw) and a bit like a VR chat late night thing.

Your game left me speechless. I would never think that such a beautiful game can be created during game jam. Well done! The only thing that hold me back was sound of showing letters, it was too intense. <3

Oh. My. God. Your game was more of an experience. But what an experience. It really hit me, because i'm a person that often drowns in his own memories and tries to evaluate those who were, but aren't with me anymore.
Best game this jam for me. Hands down. (this doesn't mean our game isn't worth playing, check it out haha)
I'm also interested in learning the technical details of the visual effects, they were mesmerizing :)
The only complaint is that this game could have more gameplay in it, as I said earlier- it's more of an interactive animation than a game. I love it nevertheless.
Fantastic experience. This game is just amazing. I love everythig about this. The art and music match the mood. The narrative is great.
Really cool presentation. Visuals, audio and the mood in general were really cool!
Nice work on this, visuals were great!
Wow! I was really impressed by this entry. The visuals were really impressive, the animation (especially the running one) felt really powerful and meaningful. My only hiccup, which might just be me, is that I wasn't always sure who was speaking and answering. The particle becoming you was super impressive, great job on that!
I really liked the unique visuals here! The music also tied into the narrative very well to improve the experience. Awesome job, thanks for the game!

This was an amazing experience. The art is simple yet really beautiful, the music is great, the camera work is outstanding, and the poem... All in all a very touching short story really well executed, I'll definitely check out more of your work ! Is "chromatic window" a recurrent Game jam team that you guys make up, or are you an indie studio ?
@lilianc hey there, thank you so much for the kind words! we're a mostly game jam team, this was our 7th Ludum Dare together! we finished and released our last game on steam so you could kind of say we're an indie studio, but we are all primarily 2nd year college students at different schools studying games!

Incredibly polished entry! Best one I've checked out so far. Going to be hard to top!
Loved the animations and camera work. camera control like that is next on my 'to learn' list. I assume you do something like lerp from current position to desired position?
Well done to everyone on the team!

Very interesting entry, that's for sure. Your game has not much in terms of gameplay and is not a game you're going to return, but it makes people stop for the moment and just think about their lives, their memories, people they met, and people that helped them along the way. It made me think about few people I've met during my life. It made me remember some things, be it happy or not. Music is really good. It makes mood in your "interactive story" really good. Also idea to visualize that everyone we meet during our life become part of us. No matter if they are still alive or not, our memories of them are still alive. This is so far best entry in terms of story. Thank you for making that during this Ludum Dare.

Amazing game, don't think I'll forget about this one. The environment, sound, storytelling - really great! I also really liked the way that the people were made from cubes, and connected to you as you moved on. Incredible design, incredible game! Wow, really great job!
Splendid, nostalgic, smooth. Best entry I've played so far!
Having the full poem in the credits would have made a nice touch to tie the loop, to further think back and recall the people we met.

I loved the animations and I think the ending reflects the characters inner emotions really well and maybe even encourages the player to do some self introspection. well done!

What a experience, the poem and the dialogs just hit you where it hurt, a lovely momente and mensage.
