LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Forest Fire by JNI 2022-04-05T17:32:29Z

Cool idea, but executed in a way that's one dimensional- you can either use fire extinguisher or not use it. I see that there were some ideas with buckets but I think either I don't know how to use them or this was an unfinished feature

Otherwise- great idea as I said, responsive gameplay and cool look ing, not gonna lie :D

Where do you go after you win by ded 2022-04-05T14:37:38Z

A simple game, a bit too simple for my taste, even for a jam But yeah, it fits the theme and it's kinda fun! I feel like your character making dialogues with you how he cherished our time together if we decided not to go to the end right now would be u fun idea :) Also the controls and hitboxes are a bit too precise and unforgiving, but this could also be a feature :)

EDIT: After mentions from the developer i decided to try again and the game has more content than i thought. The Platforming still is too clunky and there are no indications that You can *SPOILER* go everywhere after you win. It's a cool idea, could be more indicated, and after the tedious platforming many players might be too tired to try and find stuff.

My idea: Put a question mark after the end, and an icon that might indicate something.

My complaints about platforming in detail: When you run into an "enemy" while the hitbox is active, the hit doesn't register after the initial frame of attack. Sometimes you get hit while you think you shouldn't.

Upping the rating, positively surprised :)

(check out our game too!)

@ded I...am sorry xD I saw what You meant, I'm in progress of updating my review :)

Cyber Soul by Lepletier 2022-04-04T22:13:07Z

Graphics are so original, and audio is really good, but it's sad that end subtitles and credits last more than the game (or am i missing something?)

Aloft by ColeSlaughter 2022-04-04T23:23:44Z

A very interesting idea, and very well executed! I think the game is a bit hard, but this might be also a good thing. Artistic side of the game is perfect though. And it fits the theme really well!

The Inevitable by InappropriateName 2022-04-05T16:41:39Z

My favourite spin on the theme :D And the description is perfect! Could be modified for a cool replayable mobile game IMO. Very nice and quirky

Kalopsia by tailow 2022-04-05T14:09:29Z

Very innovative, very fun, a little bit too chaotic and buggy (sometimes enemies launched me through walls and attacks didn't register for some reason), otherwise a really good game that fits the theme perfectly!

Those Along The Way by egawag 2022-04-05T16:04:35Z

Oh. My. God. Your game was more of an experience. But what an experience. It really hit me, because i'm a person that often drowns in his own memories and tries to evaluate those who were, but aren't with me anymore.

Best game this jam for me. Hands down. (this doesn't mean our game isn't worth playing, check it out haha)

I'm also interested in learning the technical details of the visual effects, they were mesmerizing :)

The only complaint is that this game could have more gameplay in it, as I said earlier- it's more of an interactive animation than a game. I love it nevertheless.

DIZT by Sodaro 2022-04-05T13:57:56Z

A really fun game that fits the theme! It feels really polished, althought the cursor could be more visible, as sometimes I didn't know where it was haha. I like it! One of the better jam games i played this jam :D

Pellet by Austin Sierra 2022-04-05T21:11:30Z

Nice spin on the Snake genre! And fits the theme too! I like it!

Foster The Beeples by Deylinia 2022-04-05T14:20:32Z

Very relaxing, nice game but the UI behaves weird and sometimes i didn't know what to do. RIP Alfonzo always in our hearts (*) (Check out our game too!)

Foster The Beeples by Deylinia 2022-04-05T14:48:30Z

@deylinia So yeah, on fullscreen mode the game had the top and bottom chopped a bit and I could not see the mood when it's not healthy or content(it moved downwards??? Hard to tell), also I don't know where to check my money I have right now, I only see the money I earned so far. Now i see it was chopped with the UI on fullscreen, so I ended up spamming buying buttons for everything praying i bought the medicine As i'm playing now, in non-fullscreen version the UI chopping stops, but yeah, it's annoying to play the game windowed.

(I'm upping the rating because I saw that non-fullscreen version works well)

Misfortune in the Galaxy by TarikAF 2022-04-04T21:51:17Z

@erikengineengineer Hi, thanks for the feedback! We used Unreal, because blueprints make simple projects like this really easy to make! And with good understanding of the engine and its boundaries it's really fun :) We saw some people don't understand some tasks, because descriptions are a bit ambiguous, we might do a little fix on that :)

Misfortune in the Galaxy by TarikAF 2022-04-05T18:13:17Z

Oh my god... Thanks Everyone for feedback! We didn't expect such popularity of our game, and we are genuinely happy and thankful that You like it! :) It's my second (@tarikaf 's and @piczkabobra 's third) jam ,the first one didn't go well in terms of our project planning so it doubles the surprise haha

Slip or Trip by erikengineengineer 2022-04-04T23:37:58Z

Really enjoyed the game! A simple idea that fits the theme, a nice humor, sounds and especially graphics! Big yes from me :)

Scuttling Is Painless by HexyVexy 2022-04-05T17:13:51Z

Controls are difficult even on the gamepad IMO. Also they're just weird a bit- I still don't know if snapping to platforms from the sides is a bug or a feature :D On the brighter side- I liked the graphics and sounds and the idea :D A bit buggy though, sound cues are misleading if you start charging the jump before falling off the ledge etc. and going through checkpoints resets your charge so it makes unnecessary deaths haha A nice entry though

UFOTag by Useless Fish 2022-04-04T21:10:57Z

Such a simple idea of connecting tower defence games with some dynamic gameplay, yet such fun and creative! :)

Playing Dave! by Bdiaztobarra 2022-04-04T22:06:57Z

Holy moly guacamole, this was such a good experience! The only downside is the fact it's short, but as a jam game- it's perfect! :)

Gobling Game by lolopupka 2022-04-05T16:31:33Z

Beautiful graphics, nice gameplay, fun humour, that's all I an say, I love Gobling btw.

A bit weird controls to my taste, that's the main complaint from me, otherwise- a really good entry :) I saw that's your first game, so good job :D

Over the Rainbow Bridge by Iguanana 2022-04-05T21:06:31Z

Short and sweet experience, I liked it very much! (Check out our game as well!)

BaraRun by DerekBell 2022-04-05T15:17:47Z

The gameplay wasn't innovative, yet it was executed in a VERY fun way, when you start to understand how the controls work and swing like Spider-Man - you get free serotonin to your brain. There should be a way to escape the cliffs if You miss the jump though. And the soundtrack is very nice! :)

Death Deck by Slavchik_a 2022-04-05T14:28:17Z

Haha nice description, Nicely looking game but yeah, description summarises it well haha

Boris and the Miserable Factory of Mr. Bossman by Baptiste Lnq 2022-04-05T15:06:43Z

Woah, one of my favourites this jam! A nice, simple yet fun gameplay, paid Indie game- tier graphics, fun references in terms of sounds and 3d models and a really goofy mood. It could have a fun music in background to up the tempo of the game but otherwise - A VERY Big yes from me :)

Noback by AraTheDev 2022-04-04T22:28:22Z

A really nice game, but i feel like my character walk speed is too slow and it made the experience much less enjoyable. Otherwise a really nice entry :)
