This game feels super responsive and polished!! I really digged the camera filter, It'll be really cool to regain life when killing enemies instead of pickups. That'll make you balance between killing enemies and waiting, since if you're full health killing an enemie would be worthless. Nicely executed, really liked it!

The game has a great atmosphere but it is veeeeeeeeeeery hard. I wasn't able to play for longer than 1min without being killed. Also the graphics is a little bit unreadable at moments. I realized on the third play through that I can shoot boxes (it helped a lot). I also like the sound. It fits the game very well :)
The art style is great. The sound effects too, and the ambience. Fits the theme well. I had a couple of issues with it though. With the web version, you can't move the character, and with the windows version, you can't shoot while running backwards.
Nice one! It is well polished, it has importance in a jam. The filter is nice, however, it makes the crosshair not always visible. Moreover, you may want to add an in-game explanation for shooting the boxes. Or add the possibility to open boxes with the interact button, it was a bit confusing, it's only on my third playthrought (as the comment before) that I understood.

I love old horror themed games so i loved this one too. But it's little hard. I died too many times

A really fun game that fits the theme! It feels really polished, althought the cursor could be more visible, as sometimes I didn't know where it was haha. I like it! One of the better jam games i played this jam :D
Love the ambience and art style of this game. Super cool PSX filter as well. Very challenging though.

Liked this neon/vhs filer and vibe:) Some parts of the game are little unclear (for example that you can crash all the boxes, to get resources), but still I had quite some fun playing, thank you!

Thanks so much for the comments and feedback all!
@tatawanda @xiris @borchezz Yeah there were a few concepts we would have liked to explain/teach better such as the box/barrel destruction and weapon switching but we didn't think of it soon enough :(
@abdonatioera sad to hear about the technical issues, with the webbuild you might have to click inside of the viewport before you can move (it doesn't always have focus). Not sure what caused the issue in the windows build but thanks for reporting it!

Fun game. It looks and plays good. I was a bit confused what to do, but other than that, I had fun.
I really like the graphics and mood. Gameplay is really hard though haha

Wow the difficulty! I like how quick it all is - from responsive controls to resets upon death. The difficulty doesn't feel so bad when you can get right back into the action. I really like the style and camera perspective. Well done!
I recorded myself playing, message me on the Jam’s discord @ Dark Peace and I’ll send it to you. I found a way to go out of bounds and it was pretty funny. Nice game overrall, except when the camera prevents you from seeing a zombie.

This was pretty cool. I really dig the vibe I got from it. The sounds and visuals were pretty great too. Although, with the visual style it was sometimes difficult to see what was going on. Another thing was that the game was really difficult. It wasn't until I read a comment that I saw that you could destroy the boxes, leaving me with very little health and ammo. One minor issue I had was the lag. I can only play the web version because I'm on linux, and it was just pretty laggy for my laptop. A downloadable version should fix that. Controls were nice and responsive (except for the lag) and the horror element was done very nicely. Great job!

@mateu Thanks so much for playing and taking the time to report the performance issues! We added a linux build now which should hopefully run better

@sodaro awesome! I think i'll give it another go
EDIT: I tried it and almost nothing was rendering. The sound was playing but other things weren't. It could just be my computer. Either way, the web version works well enough, so thanks for at least trying.

@mateu Damn, @spode tried it on a virtual machine which seemed to work but I have no clue what might be causing the issue :slight_frown: Oh well, thanks for giving it another shot!
Nice game, I really like the visuals and atmosphere! Although this "interference" effect sometimes made it hard for me to navigate.
Really cool aesthetic! Very smooth gameplay. Great job!
Very polished, I wish enemies continued to spawn over time, since I ran out of thing to kill after a while. I really loved the car section, best part!
Awesome camera filter! Great mini car lol. Had a blast killing zombies and picking up more ammo. Great job!

We kept playing this one over and over. Very rewarding when you get the hang of it! Loved the mood and the art. Excellent work!

I absolutely loved the CRT filter, the dark mood, and the richness of the gameplay supported by all the interactbles. Shooting zombies is always a blast!
Strenghts: - Great visual design - Shooting feels great: the projecticle is fast and hast impact. Moving feels great, too: the character is fast and responsive - Variety induced by the crates and the car
Possible improvements: - The maze-like level design was maybe a bit too much at the start of the game.
Great work!

Really liked the mood and artstyle, as other people said, some mechanics like the boxes were a bit unclear and some of the level design was unintuitive since the zombies could walk through an opening but you could not, the controls feel really smooth and responsive once you get used to the fast pace!
The graphs and the gameplay are responsive and incredible. I would say its a bit too hard though, maybe regain health each kill?
I appreciate the aesthetic choices here but I would prefer to have it more "readable". The mood is amazing, when I enter the game I can already tell I'm in a zombie situation (didn't notice the description at first). The cooldown on the weapons are kinda long though, plus the shots don't travel far enough, making it very difficult to play. I wish to try out the vehicles but I'm unable to survive through the earlier phase. Overall I think it is a pretty good entry, great job on the effort!
Loved the aesthetic and the atmosphere was totally on point. The game was reasonably well balanced apart from I think the zombies hit you from quite far away. Nice work!
Maaaaaaaaaaaan, I got REALLY excited when I saw the car features on your game page, but I just couldn't find wherever they were to start using them. :slight_frown: I feel like that's your most unique selling point of this game, and I wish they had more of a focus (or you at least got to them sooner)!
Otherwise, I dig the aesthetic of this game. Would be nice if the characters popped a bit more, but that's a pretty minor complaint. Well done!

Thanks so much for the feedback all! Yeah the graphical readability could definitely be improved upon, as it can be hard to discern some important elements from the surrounding environment (and the crosshair was supposed to be way brighter but something happened late so it became somewhat transparent).
@coleslaughter Yeah the car was originally intended to be used a lot more throughout the game, but when we made the final take on the level it ended up being a bit too close to the end and a less prominent feature because of it :(
LOVE the visuals and mood. (Maybe a little more contrast for character, enemies, and pickups, so they stand out more) It's SO hard though! I see screenshots of a car, but never made it that far :(

Has some hotline miami vibes at times if you want to go really fast and I love it!
