Nice simple concept well implemented. The mix of abducting cows and tower defence is fun. The cow towers made me laugh.
Art style and music complement each other and the game well.
I did experience a visual bug after a while where the previous black explosion effect (soot?) left on the road would start to disappear as the bomb moved across the path. But otherwise a very fun little game.
Fun game :). Reminds me of a game jam for OperaGX using GameMaker. Where the theme was "UFO" haha.
I like how smooth the controls feel, and the deceleration of the UFO over time.
Fun concept & game :smile: The only thing I'm missing is a healthbar for the bomb. I got 24 score, standing cow FTW!
This is the first Cower Defense I've played in my life! How the hell did you have such an idea? The game is pretty fun and control are smooth, but I feel that the "upgraded cows" are not enough powerful. My "best" run was something like 16 bombs, but most of them was around 12. I think that when we play, we don't feel that cow-towers really do anything.
Maybe you could try to upgrade them a little, it may feel more fun?
Overall, you made a good job on this game, it plays well and it fun.
Funny little game!
Things I liked:
- The two parts of the game going on simultaneously so that there is never any downtime - It fit the theme well as I knew eventually I would lose - It's a funny concept even though it doesn't really make sense XD - Although the art is nothing revolutionary, it fit the aesthetic of the game pretty well - I liked the music and SFX and really liked that you included a volume slider in there
Things that could be improved on:
- I think it would be better to just be able to place towers with your mouse instead of having to awkwardly navigate over with the UFO. Also the time it takes to place a tower is way too long - As far as I could tell, towers are basically useless and do almost no damage. Right from the start, I saved 20 cows and built the strongest tower in the spot with the most time to fire and it barely delayed the next bomb. The final tower should be powerful and delay a bunch of waves - At first I liked that fact that you don't have to click a button to abduct a cow, just hover over it. The issue is that sometimes you are trying to go over and place a tower as fast as possible but if there are any cows between you and the tower you want to place, it automatically starts picking up those cows and locks you into this long animation while you helplessly watch the game end. This could be solved by just clicking to place towers

"The only thing Iām missing is a healthbar for the bomb" @noiyy - the bombs has a fuse that goes down with time, although I'm not 100% sure it's the best indicator, at least it's something...
"The cows towers don't do a lot" @chocolat-endive , @sjpixels - that is a problem we encountered when making the game, we didn't want the bomb to "evolve" quickly and we also didn't want to cows to be OP, and that's just how it turned out to be... Although we will probably be making an "after jam" version of the game while taking into consideration all of these nice comments <333.
"Why didn't you make it so that you could place towers with your mouse??" @sjpixels - placing towers with the mouse would've been cool although we thought it would be better if the player would feel like the UFO instead of some outside source or something...
"Leaving the cow spawn area is difficult because you always end up taking a lot of cows" @sjpixels - this is also an issue we encountered, sometimes its difficult to leave the cow area to when wanting to place towers, we have tried to make it so that there is a keybind to do it: but it just didn't feel as flowy as we wanted it to feel... Now that I think about it we should've made a toggle for picking up cows.....

P.S. We will continue to update this comment when new suggestions arrive so that we can better improve are game, and here is the list of the stuff that we are gonna change:
- We will add a health bar for the bomb as it is a better indicator than the fuse going down... - We will add a keybind to toggle off and on the option for abducting cows.... - We will also be fixing the tutorial(which we know was really bad ;-;), we didn't have much time so we just scraped a tutorial on that game and called it a day :)) - We will try to add mobile controls so we can add it to mobile - because it feels like a mobile game :)))

really enjoyed this game even though i really did not know what the bombs were doing. i thought i could pick them up and destroy the cows. that would have been fun too. thanks for making the game.
@paulhocker There is a tutorial that explains everything, it's very unpolished but it should make you understand everything. If not you can look at our description where you will be able to see a "Brief explanation on the game" section where it should explain everything.... Hope this helps
Ditto most of these comments, especially the unbalanced towers. I also think the timing of cow spawns and abductions are too... slow. speed up resource gathering and speed up their spawn rate, and let us frantically move back and forth between placement and gathering. That might require making the cowers a bit cheaper and weaker (post original strength update), but the end result should be that I feel like I'm flying everywhere around the map trying to keep these darn bombs from killing me....

Good cower defense game. Congratulations! I end up keep pressing 'D' instead of 'F' trying to build the last tower without any response causing a failure. I think some robustness, e.g. more health for the base, would help.

- "The cow gathering is too slow" @exevirus - We will try to make cow gathering faster and more "fluider" but we already did something that will make the game faster the longer you play it...

Super simple yet unique idea. Wasn't expecting a Cow defence game, but was fun to play! Did take me a minute or so to realise what I was suppose to be doing tho. Nice art style too! The wagging cow tails was a nice a sight ha
This is really creative with solid mechanics! I especially like the tower that slows down the bombs. I don't have much to add on to what everyone else is saying, but one thing I didn't expect (but that makes sense) was that selling cows gave you less money back than you paid (when I sold to immediately buy again, I wasn't able to buy). The music also fits really well. Good job!
it seems i was able to find an infinite cow defense strategy! i would've left it running in the background but the game pauses when you click off, so i just called it at 40 :) š®
pretty solid entry, i can only say that i would've like more in terms of visual feedback. at first i thought the bombs would hurt me if i got too close to them when they exploded

Nice movement and animations, but the game felt a bit sluggish and uncontrollable overall. I didn't seem to have much of an effect on the bombs at all. But I can relate to this, I spent ages trying to make hitting stuff feel just right in my game! Art is fine, but it has loads of character in the little animations and that brings a lot to the game. Maybe make hitting bombs feel more juicy, and give indicators of how much health?

Good music, graphics and easy controls. It seemed to me that the bombs did not slow down at all.
This game was super fun! It took me a while to get used to the controls and figure out what to do, but once I did I was addicted. Love the detail on the cow tail animation. Great job on your game!

Honestly very fun! Awesome idea and well executed. The art is very cute despite being quite macabric, lol, and the music is fun too. At first I didn't feel any differences between different towers, maybe the balance could be improved a bit. After some trial and error I got 30. Also I like the idea of the bombs exploding by themselves before they reach the goal. Great submission!
