LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Shotgun King: the Final Checkmate by benjamin 2022-04-05T03:04:00Z

Guessed the URL 😎

This is so detailed and polished! My only want would be to be able to change settings while in a game since the CRT shader strained my eyes after a bit (thanks for adding a setting!). Amazing work y'all!

Sweet Bitterness by Bomb-X 2022-04-07T14:23:44Z

Awesome transitions and creative/funny scenarios! For the don't starve (lol) game I wasn't exactly sure what the goal was, since I didn't get the carrots most of the time but didn't lose a life. I also wasn't sure how to play the balance game. The art is really cute and the shadows are a great touch, and the music really fits too! Good job!

Snooze by LancesCaterpie 2022-04-05T01:40:44Z

Really hilarious, and impressive tech! My only hiccups while playing were it took me a few tries to realize you could attack enemies with left-click, and a couple times I lost without realizing what I did wrong. Great job!

MoonDoggle by realryanrogers 2022-04-06T21:39:50Z

Made it 2:55, this is fun! I like the idea of having enemies that give you powerups a lot, and it'd be cool to see situations where you have to pick and choose the order of enemies you kill, e.g. if you only have so much ammo (or if there's a cooldown like this), you'd have to wait for the right powerup. In this game, I think having the cooldown initially being so large was effective, as being able to spam after felt very satisfying! The visual effects are nice too! Good job!

Stop the clock by Shampop 2022-04-07T12:30:13Z

Thanks for having the instructions, I didn't read/pay attention to them the first time so I was confused by the extra buttons and thought I had to precisely click with my mouse lol (which actually could be interesting for a difficulty mode!). For a mode like that it could also be cool to have just one button move around on the clock. Great job, I love how bouncy the animations and music are and they work really well together!

Foster The Beeples by Deylinia 2022-04-05T14:55:20Z

I played with Alfonzo 💔. I didn't realize that you could spend medicine without it doing anything, so on my first try I ran out and he died pretty quickly

A couple bugs: - I was able to buy medicine for $2 rather than the listed $5 - I had a visual glitch where the exercise equipment flickered on and off every second or so

I like the inclusion of room upgrades (and that there's unique art for each of them!), but it'd be nice to have some way of accelerating your income, because it took a while to get the higher upgrades on my second try (he died just before getting the last $150 upgrade). It'd also be cool if there some more interaction with the environment (visual or not), since you didn't need much input while waiting for those last upgrades. I think one of those two would make the last part a little more engaging

That said, the music is really relaxing the and sounds the beeple makes is very cute! The stats you've chosen are intuitive, and I was sad each time he died 😔. This has a really nice mood, great job!

Inevitable Crash by NikolaVuk 2022-04-05T22:22:35Z

I like this concept a lot! I think the main additional thing I'd like to have would be camera controls, so that you could see your past selves more easily. I was able to solve several levels by going in a circle, but I like that in later levels that became less viable due to how the spawns were mixed up (and variable velocity of cars?). This is clever and fun, great job!

CAT SLEEP PROTECT by tutoa 2022-04-05T14:14:46Z

Aww this is so cute! I found it hard to control with my mouse on the default itch resolution, but in fullscreen it was easier! When clicking on the fullscreen button, the screen is completely gray until I click, but the game works normally after that. I really like the art style and the music, and I love how fluid the cats are. I was able to beat the game in about 10 tries, I found it hard to do some of the 3-cat levels with the time given. Awesome job!

Keep Up by KekonDev 2022-04-07T00:48:49Z

Lmao, one time all of the balls went above the screen the game ended :D. This is great, and super fun! I made it to 171 😎 😅. I don't really have any negative feedback, this feels really polished! Having the balls collide was a smart way to add difficulty and variation in their movement. I especially like that you had multiple music tracks! Awesome job!

Never Alone by fachscahfttf 2022-04-07T21:56:31Z

Got this error on firefox and chrome: ```WebAssembly streaming compilation failed! This can happen for example if "Content-Encoding" HTTP header is incorrectly enabled on the server for file Build/Builds.wasm, but the file is not pre-compressed on disk (or vice versa). Check the Network tab in browser Devtools to debug server header configuration.```

I can send console or network request info if it'd be helpful!

IBYH!? by Trabasura 2022-04-05T22:00:45Z

I love this! The music is great, and it's consistently funny (especially the canine like animal!)!

Some of the minigames needed pretty fast reflexes to not immediately lose, and some took me a couple tries to figure out what I was supposed to do (and I never figured out how to evade in the rotating laser game). With the movement it felt a little floaty or unpredictable sometimes on the platforming levels (not knowing whether I could make a jump or not).

I love the characters and art in this, and the mini games are very creative! And props for adding a leaderboard, though everyone above me is much better lol 😩. Awesome job y'all!

Wheelbarrow Cash Blast by sslees 2022-04-05T02:48:27Z

I like the idea of having to manage buying things while also moving! I found the first 30 seconds to be pretty hard, and after that managing everything was fairly easy. I'd love to play something like this where you can keep upping the speed (or are forced to increase the speed) without it becoming impossible to avoid objects! I'm a sucker for that kind of endless game (like Cubefield for example), and combining it with idle-game like mechanics (or just requiring input to manage numbers) would be pretty interesting! Nice job!

UFOTag by Useless Fish 2022-04-07T14:56:06Z

This is really creative with solid mechanics! I especially like the tower that slows down the bombs. I don't have much to add on to what everyone else is saying, but one thing I didn't expect (but that makes sense) was that selling cows gave you less money back than you paid (when I sold to immediately buy again, I wasn't able to buy). The music also fits really well. Good job!

Forest by StudioCherno 2022-04-07T13:12:06Z

When I played for the first time I spent about 15 minutes finding the gun and ammo and exploring the whole map (including the graveyard) trying to figure out where to go next, since the blacksmith house note didn't spawn until I picked up the first note. For this kind of game I like it when the world just exists without my input, accidentally breaking that sequence reduced the immersion a bit for me

When I restarted and played through correctly, it was a really effective experience! My timer at the end was about 10 minutes (it'd be nice to see what your timer was once you die) and wow I had chills for the entire second section. Super effective mood with excellent music, sound effects, and lighting. Amazing job!

And Then You Fall by Zack HD 2022-04-06T00:28:32Z

I really like the bullet hell segments, but I couldn't figure out what my health was so I ended up dying without knowing the reason a few times. I also like the setting a lot (though at first I thought the line of people was a wall I had to go around lmao)! With the constrained player area everything felt hectic, and each time I played avoiding bullets felt easier and more satisfying. Good job and good luck with this in the future!

jobbie by nullval 2022-04-07T00:05:28Z

Lol this was super funny! I like having to juggle multiple tasks like this, though I found it really hard to fraternize and type in order at the same time, especially since I had to move my mouse to press one button or the other. A couple times it seemed like I was typing the letters on the screen but it wouldn't accept it, though maybe I did something wrong. I'm glad I don't have a boss like this :D. Nice job!

R.A.T. by Kyle Reising 2022-04-05T03:29:45Z

I love the parody description lol. This is fun! The swarms of rats look cool when they curve around and it's fun to evade them. It'd be nice to be able to move while attacking (or at least shooting) to be able to evade more effectively
