I love the art style, very unique!
I love the concept and appreciate the implementation. I think the overall gameplay experience has a lot of room to improve.
This is a cool game, and the art is very nicely done.
Holy crap!! This is very cool, how many times can you save your best record to help others? This is a pretty neat idea, i'll be playing more of it, keep up the great work! :v:
Cool concept! love the music and art, would love to see a bit more abilities or map variation
Nice visual style! The game sessions are quite short, wish I could move around longer. Couldn't beat 18000 mark, always got surrounded by enemies. Anyways, good job!
Very impressive! Cool, simple concept that works extraordinarily well. Fits the theme and music and art fit perfectly. The "ghostlike" vision of other players is incredible and I cannot imagine how you pulled it off in such a time frame. Truly impressive. This could be a full-fledged game with a bit of variety/abilities added.
Very interesting concept! Having previous gamers play with you is impressive!
Having some online elements for a game-jam is super ambitious, kudos!
time for jolly cooperation
I applaud the effort to make a multiplayer game, you don't see that a lot in LD. :D Nice job!
I really enjoyed the game, thank you guys!)
Online components in a jam game! Wow, that's great! Congratulations. Game itself is very standard twin stick shooter.
The game itself is solid, but the fact that you made it into a multiplayer game is insane. Great job!
Nice work on the multiplayer aspect! also shoutouts to Pacifist, they've got 50k points without taking a single shot
There were many things I was expecting in a little arena survival shooter, but the ghosts of other players was not one of them. That's very clever, well done!
Really like the idea of async multiplayer like this. The gameplay is simple but seems to be well made with decent assets and sounds. It was pretty laggy on the old laptop I used to play it, though that's not likely the majority of your audience.
Super unique idea! How in the world did you even manage that in such a short time!? Crazy good work! The lighting and music help a lot with the mood, kept things high energy and upbeat. Big fan of the graphics too, feels like an old arcade cabinet. Only complaint would be with difficulty but I understand how that fits with the Jam's theme as well as the game's mechanic so no big complaints. Super solid entry!
Such an amazing concept for the game, nice job guys!
Making a multiplayer Game Jam game is fascinating and it was brilliant that you guys were able to pull it off, congrats! Game is a little bit dull though, it goes too quick and the moment-to-moment isn't the most exciting. But all-in-all, a very ambitious project that y'all should be proud of!
Got this error on firefox and chrome: ```WebAssembly streaming compilation failed! This can happen for example if "Content-Encoding" HTTP header is incorrectly enabled on the server for file Build/Builds.wasm, but the file is not pre-compressed on disk (or vice versa). Check the Network tab in browser Devtools to debug server header configuration.```
I can send console or network request info if it'd be helpful!
What an interesting concept, playing with the help of other past players.
I liked the sense of camaraderie this game gives. Fighting with your fallen friends, trying to get a high score to help the next player. In a way, it has more purpose then most single player games xD
Wow, what an awesome concept that you implemented quite well! I really enjoyed seeing the spirits of other players in the game -- async multiplayer isn't something I'd ever considered, but it was very neat. If you keep working on this game (I hope you do) it might be interesting to explore other ways players might influence each other, such as dropping helpful supplies or activating effects.
Congrats on completing an awesome entry!
Cool concept of playing together with past players, and well executed! I'd have liked some visual/audio feedback when I got hit, that was not very clear to me.
Very nice entry, the controls are nice, the game is quite difficult, but I guess that is intended and the addition of having NPCs fight with you is nice. Well done.
Incredible unique idea. I love it! Using the runs of others to get a better score is such an awesome idea, and the use of the theme to make it impossible is just a good blend with the idea. Very fun to play, and the graphics look great.
Neat online features, really cool idea!
I really appreciate the online features. Async multiplayer and keeping online highscores are impressive. I feel that gameplay needs to improve a bit though. The color palette and the graphics, makes it a bit hard to follow.
I really like the idea of taking other players previous inputs and having them help you. The controls and game mechanics could be improved to have more variety and a better feeling (things like having the enemies have a spawn animation instead of just appearing on top of you, and having better movement options like a dash). Overall, I think it's well done and enjoyed trying to get a high score (although I never got over 13k :P)
Wow! Very nice concept! I like the chaotic nature of the emerging gameplay.
Fun stick shooter style game. I played a handful of times :). Wasn't sure if I was playing with other folks, or if those were AI that were playing alongside my grenade. Overall, it's fun and chaotic! This is really similar to one of the ideas I had, while thinking up games for this jam.
Cool idea, I find it motivating that there is a high score. My teammates die unfortunately way too fast :D
It's a neat idea to save the actions. At first I wasn't exactly sure if it was multiplayer or if it was just an AI, but this seems like an interesting way to make the play feel multiplayer without it being multiplayer.
Great idea! Love the phantoms, it's really neat. The animations for the player and the design for the enemies are nice, but the backgrounds and elements are a bit dull. Maybe you could play with some randomness to keep everything fresh, like the locations of the enemies' spawn. Good job overall!
