Woah, I didn't know what to expect going in, but the microgame approach fits perfectly for a frantic getaway! I love that the "lives" in the game each had a bit of personality and dialog; I had a blast playing. Great job!
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD50 → IBYH!?

Could use a bit more of a delay before each mini game. :)
Played this longer than i had planned. Had 5-6 tries but never got over 5. Maybe im just bad XD. Graphics and Sound are both very good. I didnt encounter any bugs.
I got 6! Some of the minigames were hard! They took me a little while to figure out but once I did they were all pretty fair... if you knew the trick.
I really love the characterization and how well y'all handled the theme. The music was really solid, and I'm a big fan of the art as well :)
"hot line all game together"! Well done! You manage to do even even few games in one, with cool art and sound! even tho it took a while to figure out how to play some of them. I'd say that is the most interesting part of jam - is finding how to play, and here is lot time on row. Probably you came up with different ideas at start of jam and decide to make all of them^?
Oh wow I love this game. It just fits the theme perfectly and having characters as life etc is such a creative idea. For the minigames, it wasn't always clear what I have to do. Maybe give a (better) shot explanation at the beginning and a little countdown so you don't die if your confused at the start. But overall great game :)
Great art and music! The mini games were fast paced which I liked once I figured them out. I did have to play a few time to get the flow going but each time I enjoyed it more and more.
Awesome submission!
Theme, atmosphere and music are on point! I like the structure of scenes and the overall narrative flow. I couldn't get through some of the mini-games, I gotta admit. But in the end, the game leaves a nice feeling. I like it!
I love this! The music is great, and it's consistently funny (especially the canine like animal!)!
Some of the minigames needed pretty fast reflexes to not immediately lose, and some took me a couple tries to figure out what I was supposed to do (and I never figured out how to evade in the rotating laser game). With the movement it felt a little floaty or unpredictable sometimes on the platforming levels (not knowing whether I could make a jump or not).
I love the characters and art in this, and the mini games are very creative! And props for adding a leaderboard, though everyone above me is much better lol 😩. Awesome job y'all!
Wow, making just one jam game in time was hard enough, I can't even imagine trying to put together as many minigames as you did for this one!
The characters are great, and I love the design of rowing through each one as they each slowly get caught
Really enjoyed this one! Loved your take on the theme and how it meshes with the Warioware/Minigame style, along with the characters too, great job everyone!
My favorite character is definitely the doggy! a fun and stressful game. Well done!
its interesting really
woaou very good game with a great inspiration from wario ware i love it good job !
Really fun and challenging game. The music fits perfectly although the overall volume could be a bit lower.
Fun, i like minigames, but they are a little not balanced, 3 cups, start so fast i didn't even noticed whats going on until too late. Otherwise cool game.
Good game, had fun playing it! Some minigames seemed a bit unfair (the "stay up" one where I felt at the first frame for example x) ), but a well done job from your team with a good variety of gameplay, globaly a pleasant experience, gg!
nice game)
I like the idea, but some details made this quite difficult to play. I feel like there is some visual clarity missing, because I couldn't figure out how to do a few of the games and they all felt impossible to complete on the first try. If there was a slight pause before the game for the player to figure it out it would have been better. Also it would have been nice if the time between games was slightly shorter.
Overall, though, nice game! I liked the music and visuals.
Definitely captured that Wario Ware feeling! Only thing I could say is that you don't know the character's special abilities until you use them. Other than that a great submission!
@ironfred Thanks for the review! There was a pause menu where you could adjust the volume but I agree that the default could've been lower. I'll keep this in mind for future projects.
@dennis-magnusson I do agree that on the first run it's hard to play the game because you don't know what you're doing, but in subsequent ones the player should recognize the next minigame by the building that appears so putting in an extra delay at the start was something that I decided against as to keep the game tense. However, a lot of people are commenting about that specific aspect so it seems like I may have chose the wrong path. I'll try to be more mindful of this in the future. Nonetheless, thanks for the honest review!
I found some minigames hard. That aside, it feels like a WarioWare game, it was well done
Haha nice one. Good job.
I love the style and mood, very nice graphics. Some of the games were very unforgiving, and some a bit easy. Don't know if it was intended, but I could jump infinitely in air so the climb game felt trivial. Overall I'm very impressed, especially wurg the graphics :)
I thought this was really cool. There's a solid number of micro games with good variety, even if the difficulty is a little all over the place. What really tied it all together for me was the presentation and writing of the characters and bits of backstory. If you're interested, I think it would be worth spending a few more days on it just to polish some of the micro games up because the overall concept is really great! Good job!
I've never played wario ware, so this might be a problem inherited from that design; but the minigame readability is extremely low. In every case I failed before I understood how to succeed in the puzzle.
Good bits of polish in the graphics, the stage select was particularly nice. Audio was enjoyable too.
Nice work!
@tannimun Only one of the characters are able to jump infinitely. A little bit imbalanced but I did want to try and make all of the characters different in there own way. I'm happy you enjoyed it!
I'm so bad at this game, but I don't even care because it vibes hard
I don't know if the dog can finish the cat level. Which, if intentional, might secretly be brilliant
@bougiebirdie omg my biggest flex is being able to do the cat game with the dog, It's super hard but possible!! Glad you still liked it though, I'm not that good myself LMAO
@pixelbrain So happy you enjoyed the backstory, our narrative designer will be thrilled! We had a whole plot for them but of course we had to sacrifice b/c of the time limit, Thanks for playing!!
@fireslash thank u for ur review! the game was initially intended to have a tutorial for the minigames, but as we didnt have time it was delayed for future updates — the same goes for some of the graphics. im glad u enjoyed the game nonetheless!
I looooove the mood of this! I feel as though I would of benefitted from just a tiny bit more inspiration from WarioWare with the fact that the game shows you in big text what you have to do giving you a few seconds to process before you then attempt I think maybe having some of the sprites a little bigger would also help with the readability of the microgames! Your characters were just overflowing with charm and once I actually did understand what was going on the microgames felt great! I also love the choosing a character to protray a "life". I think you have the prototype for something really awesome here! I'd love to see what you do with it!
@pixelbrain Narrative Designer/Writer here!! I'm so happy you loved the story. It's my first time writing for an actual game and having it made! Hopefully I'll be the writer for any other games you'd end up liking a lot in the future!
This game has a very unique tone for this game jam, and the concept of a getaway chase for Wario Ware-like minigames works surprisingly well. The art and music are very nicely done and fit the overall aesthetic of the well extremely well. I did struggle with the gameplay in some cases, but Wario Ware-like games are usually meant to be retried repeatedly in order to fully grasp all the minigames and how they work, so I don't see too much of a problem with that. I really liked the concept of characters being representative of the amount of lives a player has-that's a unique addition to this genre of game, and it gives the game all the more character. Very nicely done!
Nice variety of games, even with the limitation of them all being platform-y. Liked that each character had their own advantages!
I really like the look-and-feel of the game. Art and music are spot on =) I was a bit confused at first with the game play and it took me a few tries to get used to the controls (the ability to jump in thin air), but once I had that figured out the game was pretty fun. The time pressure was super real (at least for a slowpoke like me) but that's so befitting of the story.
Thank you for sharing your game with me on Twitch (MsMiaChar). Here's the link in case you want to check it out again (game starts around 00:18:00): https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1446760516
Had to play through it a lot to not die and really get the hang of what to do but then the games became so fun. The best part is in the meantime the music and art and even narrative keep you interested. Another excellent game for the itch collection.
Love microgames, and this does the concept really well!
Woohoo, a WebGL game! Thank you!
This was really fun, I really love the premise of outrunning the cops with my friends and a dog, the vibes were real!
The games themselves were fun, but I had trouble figuring them out at first and I swear the light/laser dodge is impossible! Or maybe I just suck...? o:
Good job and congrats on your first jam game! Keep it up!
@charq Thank you so much for your review!!! We all enjoyed watching you play, it was super exciting!!
@sodoj I'm glad you liked it and omg the laser minigame is literally my enemy, it's so hard!, Thank you for playing!
Got to the 6th spot on the leaderboard with 35! Gertrude's infinite jump really helped me out (not sure if intended, felt like cheating ~~!)
I like warioware games and this was a nice refreshing experience! I enjoyed figuring out the minigames and finding the best way to deal with them - only the disco ball felt unfair as it seemed impossible to dodge the lasers in some cases.
The short exchanges between the minigames really add to the personality of the crew, and I liked a lot that the dialogue changed depending on who was still in the car - it really got me to look forward to the exchanges. Nice writing!
The music was vibin and my monkey brain was looking forward to the distinct "WIN" sound every time. Thanks for creating this! :v:
Great heist vibes :D Loved the pixel art, the audio and the variety of challenges. Having an online leaderboard is also feisty, although it tends to throw me into the pits of despair...
Strengths: - Always great to discover different challenges - Cool art direction, the audio in particular is awesome - Fun overarching story
Possible improvements: - I wish you had a little more time to understand what is going on during the challenges.
Cool entry!
I really liked the concept and idea behind this game, pairing a getaway with the frantic nature of warioware style gameplay blends perfectly. Having different characters with different specials and abilities also was a fantastic touch, even if I didn't quite notice their specials at first. I liked the variety of mini-games, however some felt fair, while others felt impossible. I never quite managed to beat the disco ball game. I also found the movement just way too floaty for the frantic nature of some of the games, having something snappier would have improved the game ten-fold for me. Despite this however, this was cool, you had some great art and humour and it's a solid entry!
Wow, a really cool entry! :D I love those warioware minigames!
(Btw: you can totally cheat with "stay up" when you just press jump all the time :D)
Really very creative and I'm amazed with the amount of minigames you we're able to do in this short amount of time! also, dog was cute ^.^
There probably wasn't any time left, but it would have been cool to see the drawing of the characters more often :) maybe like even a storymode (doesn't need (a lot, if at all) animations, but like show the drawings while they are talking or something like that
Good job, guys!!
Really cool entry! I really appreciate the work you have put on characters and their personalities.
Minigames could use some kind of guidance. I instantly failed some of the games since I did not know what to do and I had no time figuring it out.
Love the minigames, and most of all, the art! I wish the minigames had a longer cooldown before starting, maybe even if they waited for an input to commence.
You really have to play through it a few times to get the full experience and its worth it!
The theme is there but the idea of having minigames as very clever, the music sets the mood perfectly and the dialog adds a lot of personality. I noticed that jumping is not that restricted, some challenges were easier to complete by keep on jumping. I like how each one have their special. Nice touch on the scoreboard. I had a lot of fun with it.
Love the look and sound of the game! The theme is highlighted excellently by both the narrative and genre. One of my favorites all jam. There could have been more variety to the microgames, but they were still a blast. Wonderfully done!
