LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Total Collapse by tinykidtoo 2022-04-04T23:50:07Z

There's something just inherently funny about having a rock fight with a bunch of spirits

Picking up the rocks is definitely a little difficult as others mentioned. I think it would flow a lot better if you just automatically picked them up when you walk over them!

Descending by pev 2022-04-05T22:31:35Z

You've nailed the progression of difficulty! It starts out just deceivingly easy enough that it catches you off guard when everything gets up to speed

Lavapocalypse by Florian van Strien 2022-04-05T00:09:25Z

Wow, The scope of this game is incredible for a jam game! The depth of the gameplay is seriously intense. It took me a couple minutes to realize I was playing a pretty fully featured RTS and had to get my mind into a Starcraft-mode.

Love the music, love the lava, love the fog of war

Anya's Valley by nardandas 2022-04-05T23:31:08Z

This is such a thoughtful game! There's a lot of personality put into the characters

The Coup by Darylsteak 2022-04-06T00:35:55Z

The CRT-like effect works suuuper well here! Really feels like some old 60's intelligence reconnaissance mission!

Save The Dinosuars by ScalphaMission 2022-04-05T23:18:56Z

I do love me a good upgrade shooter. Combining and upgrading all the different weapons simultaneously almost reminded me of an old Xbox 360 Arcade game called Heavy Weapon!

Also, the strategy put into chaining explosions together is very satisfying

Quota Qrunch by macs 2022-04-05T23:59:44Z

I loved the characters and the slow replacement of each of them, and yet I still didn't see the ending coming, lol

Climate Crisis by Wilko 2022-04-05T00:00:10Z

The low poly Earth is just perfect! Coupled with the day/night cycle and the ominous music while looking in from space certainly fills the vibe

I do think the CO2 levels are a bit hard to control (which is probably the point!). Maybe something that could help would be a good way to show a breakdown of _where_ the CO2 is coming from (i.e., 20/sec from 3 coals, -18/sec from trees, etc)

Defending Hope by Steve Dragon 2022-04-05T23:10:38Z

> "Press F to pay your respects" lol

Cool idea for having different types of unit AI that get deployed and its up to you to determine the preferred placement to maximize the output of each group!

We Need To Talk by Doot 2022-04-05T00:25:18Z

Wow, this is is an incredible art style!

GameJam Tycoon by Dobryn 2022-04-06T00:11:45Z

Whew, you've definitely given me a lot to think about with this one!

Fated Fantasy by algodoogle 2022-04-05T00:37:09Z

Counting down based on resources was a great idea for delaying!

And the mood reminded me lot of Earthbound's Threed town

Don't Kick the Bucket by Mr.Esport 2022-04-05T00:31:04Z

The art style is so cute! Great animations! (I'm sure you already know and just ran out of time, but it would be awesome to have a dedicated animation for the bucket scooping, or another way to show the player that you have to hold the Right Click for the bucket to fill up)

Cyber Skater by Syafire 2022-04-05T22:42:37Z

I do love me a good upgrade shooter. I was concerned about the cost of upgrades until I noticed how quickly money stacks up at higher levels, good counter!

The skateboard and grapple are such cool ideas that I'd like to see them incorporated more! Maybe some grind rails that you could lock onto? And maybe the grapple could do something to enemies... Not sure

I did have a hard time finding the store the first time I played it. It might be nice to have some sort of direction pointer or start the player right next to it or something?

RUN COFFEE RUN by aerloth 2022-04-06T00:20:47Z

This was practically a simulator for how I stayed awake all weekend! Getting some strong Antichamber vibes and I'm loving it

Cars crusher by nyanpierre 2022-04-05T22:27:38Z

Love the 3D art! The monster trucks with devil horns are especially cool

I would love to see what it would feel like with some extra work put into your truck's movement. I'm specifically daydreaming about the driving style used in Rocket League. I think that could add a lot of life to the game!

A Ship Out of Time by deighta 2022-04-05T00:20:58Z

The generated pilot names and icons are adorable! Great idea to help explain that each pilot is a unique play every time you time/replay

IBYH!? by Trabasura 2022-04-05T23:24:31Z

Wow, making just one jam game in time was hard enough, I can't even imagine trying to put together as many minigames as you did for this one!

The characters are great, and I love the design of rowing through each one as they each slowly get caught

Leaf the Ghost behind by BiOs3008 2022-04-05T23:48:35Z

The billboarded sprites are really cute! If you want to keep expanding, I think it would be really cool to add some movement fluidity things like sliding faster down ramps

Jumpalot by game-jam-devs 2022-04-05T00:15:11Z

This is funny! I (of course) skipped the tutorial and had to take a second to realize how to jump, but that's a really cool spin on the genre!

I had a little bit of a hard time seeing some of the sprites while zoomed out, I might would recommend seeing how it looks with the zoom halfway between where it is normally and where it is at the top of a jump

It would be cool if you kept going and added some more things that the player can do, like grabbing onto the falling umbrella and floating for a bit!

Darko by Sodoj 2022-04-05T22:55:37Z

Falling off the edge of the first level is an unintentionally hilarious way to fit the theme as you fall forever, ha

_Really_ cool art style, I love the billboarded look especially with monochrome

Dungeon Crawl by jzucc12 2022-04-06T00:06:47Z

Cool idea being able to pick your own paths, knowing full and well that some of them are going to cause you harm. I know it's all down to random chance, but I never hit one where I couldn't easily avoid one I didn't want. It might be cool to purposely set the play up in some scenarios where they have to choose the least bad option for them

Sisyphus - The Game by poupiste 2022-04-05T23:03:42Z

The art work is _incredible_, great job filling the art style of ancient Greek portraits! And the idea of a pinball machine that you make yourself is super original

Destination Station by JM-Janzen 2022-04-06T00:29:03Z

It may be a "pretty simple job", but it's a deceptively fun one!

R.A.T. by Kyle Reising 2022-04-06T00:41:00Z

Hand drawn animations are always a big win!
