LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Somnus by Stending 2022-04-06T00:02:04Z

A bit confusing at first, but I think I got the vibe you were going for after a while. Was neat going from one place to the next, to see what awaited me. Music and visuals really capture the nebulous space of dreams well.

Wish we saw more of these "walking simulator" games in game jams. :)

Delay the Flood by Rialgar 2022-04-05T22:48:29Z

A bit hard to understand if I was doing the right thing, but eventually got it after a couple of stages. The variations were near, and well designed, but completing the levels took way too long, so that amount of content was not really welcome.

Loved the aesthetic.

This looks like an interesting game, but please add some instructions in the comments for newcomers, because I was really lost as to what I was rolling for.

Island Management by Pete 2022-04-10T15:32:10Z

@pete thanks so much for adding these instructions. That makes total sense now.

I'm not sure if it's just me, but your HTML5 game link doesn't load the game for me anymore. Which is too bad, because I'd like to try the game with the rules in mind now.

Either way, I've increased my rating of this game, because I now understand what you were going for.

EDIT: Never mind, it's loaded successfully for me now! I guess my laptop is just slow. :)

Finite space by Trizalio 2022-04-05T23:35:26Z

Love the concept and was really excited to play it, but the background makes it hard to read the foreground text, and I was only able to colonise about 4 or so systems before it seemed like I "ran out" out nearby worlds - I wonder, is that the point?

Bravo for an interesting take on the theme.

Save The Dinosuars by ScalphaMission 2022-04-10T15:26:09Z

Crazy playable, and just simple/short enough for a game jam entry. Although I could have easily played for longer.

Nice juicy effects. I also liked how every upgrade I chose has a noticeable and immediate impact on the next round. I found myself excited to see what upgrade options I would get to pick from next round.

Till It's Over by Kamuniaft 2022-04-05T23:44:34Z

Wow that was dark. You nailed the atmosphere, for sure. I really liked what the people around the campfire had to say.

Inevitable Crash by NikolaVuk 2022-04-05T22:13:44Z

I like the concept. UI is very intuitive, even if first try is confusing. The green thing in the middle (stage 2) is confusing - I went right for it because it seemed like a good thing. Avoiding my "past selves" was hectic fun, but I didn't personally see how they related to my previous attempts. Some kind of sound effects would have also gone a long way.

All told a pretty polished jam entry, with no noticeable bugs (other than quit button being broken, but that's the same with everyone's game ;)

Stone Sabbath by Caladrius 2022-04-10T15:54:57Z

The visuals and the lore were really transporting, and the Soul-like gameplay made me feel like I knew what was in store for me, despite the novel setting. I would definitely buy a fully fleshed out game in this style.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to hear any of the audio people are talking about, but I'm sure that's the fault of my ancient laptop, so I just left that rating blank.

Into Darkness by isovector 2022-04-05T23:23:10Z

Sounds like you had a lot of fun making this engine/game. Do you have any build instructions for how to run it?

The Root of All Evil by DV_company 2022-04-05T23:01:44Z

Controller recommendation wasn't a joke! Has some real charm, but keyboard controls are quite the workout. Hit a bug where I got stuck in the floor. This game has got that "Nintendo hard" feeling!

Necropocalypse by ZiggDev 2022-04-05T22:22:24Z

Really appreciated the text instructions in the description, and game looked super interesting. Sadly, after messing around with wine forever, I was unable to run it on my Linux machine.
