I enjoyed this, I think you did a good job with pacing especially – the difficulty ramping up and the unlocking of new portals / upgrade options kept it interesting and exciting the whole time I played. My main bit of feedback is that the UI text was a bit hard for me to read because it was so small. Nice job!

A nice entry, interesting management-type game. I just found it somewhat difficult to correctly select what to upgrade between paths and portals (where the path meets the portal), and , at first, I didn't notice the new portals that are offscreen, but a quick scroll revealed them.

Great job overall!

lomstfer 2022-04-05 09:57

I like this one! Simple and easy to understand with nice text info for you to read. Good job!

mlho7 2022-04-05 10:28

Interesting take of the theme, music is cool, explanations are too, very good job.

heho 2022-04-05 11:40

great humor, it fit well with the overall theme.

lisyarus 2022-04-05 12:10

An interesting game! Wish there was a way to move the camera, and not only zoom in/out. The green text on the right (the "social media" thing, I guess?) is a little disturbing since it prevents you from seeing what goes on underneath it. It would also probably be nice to have a better indicator of station levels, right now it's almost impossible to see and I had to mouseover them constantly to see what level they are. Pretty fun game overall, good job!

dragonsbeardgames 2022-04-05 13:47

@lisyarus You can move the camera by using the arrow keys, or WASD. The gate levels do change graphics by adding new pillars per upgrade, But it can be hard to tell the difference especially in all the chaos. Thanks for the feedback!

Great game! Was a lot of fun and really stressful when it got hectic. I love the animation of the guys teleporting away and the sound effects. The graphics really set the mood too I love it.

My main critiques would be that the difficulty could be ramped up a bit, I was able to "win" on my first try. I also upgraded things by mistake because it was a bit hard to make sure I was clicking the right thing all the time.

But great game, and it feels complete which is a great accomplishment for a game jam!

baconinvader 2022-04-05 20:55

Fun little game, I liked the music a lot, very trance. The gameplay was pretty fun up to a point but eventually it just becomes impossible and my hand started to hurt from clicking so much... maybae a lower cap on spawn rates would have worked better? Overall though pretty good game.

jonathan-fischer 2022-04-05 21:09

I had a lot of fun playing this, especially as the difficulty increased! I wish there was some way to know when an offscreen portal appears, but I enjoyed it nonetheless! Great work!

sodoj 2022-04-05 21:48

Thank you so much for including the WebGL build!

First off, the music scared the living heck out of me! It started so abruptly and so loud!

After the initial shock however, I found this game to be a nice managing sim. I really liked the reviews that pop at the right side of your screen, really nice touch.

Not bad!

jivvy 2022-04-05 21:57

Really fun game! Had to keep playing. There seems to be a bug where it's stuck at $0 and 0 people when restarting. Very cool

loiclegrosfrere 2022-04-05 22:21

I got the problem when you gain no money when restarting (and make the tuto block :sob: ) Anyway, that was funny, I get this like a clicker where you can loose (and I like auto-clickers :D )

theludovyc 2022-04-05 23:01

I don't win credits T.T

duckwings 2022-04-05 23:19

I had a lot of fun being the interstellar gatekeeper here. My butterfly clicking really came in handy when it started getting crazy. It's a simple management game with simple graphics, and the humorous tone adds a lot to it. One thing that I noticed is that when I'm frantically clicking trying to let people in and upgrade gates, I keep upgrading the roads accidentally and losing all my money. The gate icons are also pretty small, so when it gets stressful I fumble around trying to click them. It might be more intuitive if you swap the upgrade and teleport button. Good job.

vorpalsnark 2022-04-06 00:29

It may be a "pretty simple job", but it's a deceptively fun one!

sega23333 2022-04-06 07:28

its fun but not really on the topic

nardandas 2022-04-06 16:11

Fun little take on clicker games. I liked the theme and the audio a lot! I found the upgrades a bit unclear to start, the dude told me to upgrade my things and I couldn't find the upgrade button, and didn't notice the thing in the bottom right when I hovered things. I also found a few things hard to click on, I kept misclicking the teleport button and instead clicking a road, wasting money.

kamuniaft 2022-04-07 04:52

It was fun! :) I liked this bossy guy telling me what to do. And then he like "You are fired!". That hurts :) Also the soundtrack is pretty driving, that's cool. I noticed that client became unhappy just while moving from one portal to another, not only while waiting. That seems unfair) Also noticed a bug - when restarting a game without reloading it completely, money income breaks (FYI).

A nice hybrid between management sim and clicker! I enjoyed managing my portal network. I discovered a bug, where teleporting some passangers after getting fired would un-pause the game again and everything got running smoothly. I could ignore the angry firing message and just keep playing - which enabled me to upgrade everything to the max!

At first the path "ghosts" did not appear for me, only after unzooming they started appearing. During my first playgrough, after I lost the 1st time, after restart the money would not generate properly. I refreshed the page (playing webgl/html) and everything started working properly.

Great introduction to the system at the beginning.

If I could suggest a few things that would improve my experience: - it's quite tricky to see which item I'm hovering as they get transparent (so the active item is even harder to perceive - I would prefer to see more contrast, some bright color to easily tell what I'm influencing) - the stonehege stations get stones added, but it's very hard to tell at a quick glance which level they are - I would like to be able to tell instantly their level between 1-6 and then decide which ones to upgrade. This could be solved in multiple ways - with sprites for station levels being more distinct or a label with level added somewhere for example - some visual and audio positive feedback after upgrading elements of the network would be great - as other suggested, scrolling/panning the map with mouse would be great as well

Solid entry, thank you for creating it! :v:

rialgar 2022-04-08 12:16

I enjoyed this a lot! Reminded me a bit of fly corp, with the upgrading of stations and routes.

I would have preferred the text to be bigger, and maybe at the mouse when you hover an object, so I don't have to change where I am looking all the time.

On my second attempt I managed to get it all fully upgraded and then it was stable. It would be cool to either declare that as a "win" state or just keep ramping up the traveler numbers until it is impossible to keep up.

alviniano 2022-04-09 05:02

it was fun to play! maybe it would be great to have some visual feedback of the items you can upgrade, (it wasnt clear for me how i could upgrade the teleporter until i missclicked the colums).

caladrius 2022-04-09 16:49

Incredible gameplay loop. As soon as I realised exactly how things were working, I was hooked

nosleepjf 2022-04-10 16:24

@rialgar We honestly didn't think our game was winnable but your comment has caused us to think deeper about the game and how victory could technically be possible. We would love to see a recording of your stable state if you have the time. Either way, congrats on winning a game the devs considered unwinnable hahaha

quinn-patrick 2022-04-11 15:36

This is a very fun and hectic game with good music and solid graphics, so good job. Unfortunately it seems to be bugged. The first time I played, I was awarded no money no matter how many passengers I sent through. This was really confusing, until I refreshed and started over and it started working correctly.

I did do one run where I didn't know what to do and died quickly, then started over with the cloning tank button, and that was when the money didn't work, if that helps.

burnsdesigns 2022-04-11 15:47

Even having a tutorial within the timelimit of the jam is very impressive. Nicely done!

martink 2022-04-16 14:24

This was a fun game, I played it a few times. The graphics and sound worked well together. Here's a few notes.

* There seems to be a difficulty spike in the mid game, if you get past that it's possible to achieve a stable state. * If you tab out the spawn rate of the travellers decreases. * It's hard to tell the upgrade stage of the circles from the image alone. More obvious variation would be useful. * It would be nice to have a skip or ok button on the tutorial popups.

Really nice entry.

herryfabien 2022-04-19 01:17

A really solid entry here there is a few bug and improvement i have seen but has been previously told : 1/No money generation after the first game if you start again 2/Road are not visible imediatly 3/tutorial cannot be skipped (and that is only a real problem because you want to play it more than once) 4/kinda hard to see if you are winning or losing as the top bar just get dropped with the mid game rush

tominertv 2022-04-21 19:17

Great idear. Nice graphic. But why did they get angry immediately when they left the portal?

trizalio 2022-04-21 19:51

Good concept) Are short roads as efficient as long? felt, like not, but they cost the same
