It's Not Me It's You by John Livingston 2022-04-10T21:04:15Z
Loved the look, humor, and the very original idea. I do wish that the dialogue didn't repeat so much, but still liked the project overall. Well done!

I liked it overall. The visuals were nice with the pixel art and the lighting. Sounds were good and the gameplay was pretty fun. I do think that 10 waves are a bit much without any enemy variety. I would have loved to see the boss (if there really is one) but after dying on wave 8 I didn't really feel like playing through it again. Also, there is an issue where sometimes the character won't jump when moving down a slope. I've had that problem before myself, but just something I figured I'd point out if you decide to keep working on it. Those things aside, I think it's a nice take on the theme and very well executed for just a 72-hour jam. Well done!
I liked it overall. The visuals are quite good, and the UI looks far better than I expect jam games to look. The difficulty ramps up at a nice pace too. One thing I think could be improved is the grapple. It felt a little finicky with how it moved and where I had to aim to attach it. Also, since you're already moving pretty fast, and the camera isn't very far away then it seems like the only good use for it is to shoot it offscreen and hope it grabs something. Besides that, I think it's great, nice work!
Took many tries but I did manage to beat it. I think the difficulty mainly came from the movement which felt a bit strange. I did really like the idea of getting the different movement options every run though. I could tell that the levels were designed with that in mind. I didn't mind failing so much because I was always trying different paths depending on the mutation I had. For just 48 hours I think you did a great job!
Cool entry and very impressive for 48 hours. I definitely think you should boost the cursor/reticle contrast so it's not so easy to lose track of. That aside, I think the game takes a simple idea and does it pretty well, so good job!
Very cool! It's a simple concept executed well that makes for a fun short experience. The difficulty and length felt about right to me for a jam game, though I do think the idea could be explored further in the future with more levels and more obstacle types. Enjoyed it overall, nice work!
I thought this was really cool. There's a solid number of micro games with good variety, even if the difficulty is a little all over the place. What really tied it all together for me was the presentation and writing of the characters and bits of backstory. If you're interested, I think it would be worth spending a few more days on it just to polish some of the micro games up because the overall concept is really great! Good job!
Nice game! I too am a fan of making neon games with lots of bloom. Sounds and particles add to the feel of it all. The hit boxes on the pillars felt a bit off, but maybe that's just the top-down view with a perspective camera. I always love to see short and simple jam games that have an extra bit of polish, so good work!
Really great job on the visuals! Loved all the effects! The movement felt super smooth, and gameplay was enjoyable but could have used more variety. I think it would be worth expanding on but as is it's still super great and well-polished for a 72 hour jam. Very cool!
Simple but fun idea. I think it would be great on mobile if polished up a bit. Maybe add some obstacles or something to give it more depth. I did experience some lag playing on web, especially whenever the smoke particles played. Wasn't too bad though, overall good job!
