Very fun, the GLaDOS-esk voice over was also very charming.

Very fun, the GLaDOS-esk voice over was also very charming.
I liked the concept, could have been way better with a more polished UI, some animations for the player and the ennemies and some music however. The voice guiding us was pretty fun tho, made me laugh sometime :D
Cool concept! I like the idea of what you are aiming for in terms of mutation! I think the controls and feels a bit slippery, combined with the enemies the game feels super hard. Not sure if the abilities have cool downs but couldn't work out how the dash worked.
Graphics are really nice for the enemies and background set! Keep it up chief :)
@aymeric-le-moal Thank you for the feedback, writing sarcastic robots turned out to be super fun! You are definitely right about animations and we have that planned for the next time but could you elaborate on the UI part? Do you mean a different palette, feedback when clicking buttons or a different font?
@noirox It was mainly the font and the design in general, I felt like some things were too big and the UI seemed kind of bland with that font
Definitely dug the Portal vibes. The random mutations were a nice touch as well, but I had a hard time finding a use for a couple of them, like crouch.
The voice over was great, but there were a few places where if you moved too fast or died too fast, it would cut off or step on itself in a slightly awkward way.
Great game though. I played through to the end.
perhaps you can add some animation to your player, it is a little bit rigid, and the controller kind of uncomfortable, but it really have the potential to be a great piece.
The voiceover was great. The random mutations were an interesting concept, but I found myself basically running into enemies until I got double jump because it was substantially better than the others. If there were more balancing on that end, I feel like I would have used whatever the game threw at me to the best of my ability. Would love to see an expanded version of this with more balancing!
I liked the voiceover. I would have liked it if the mutations stayed, so that one life you get double jump, then the ability to crouch, but you can also still double jump. That way, the puzzles could build on one another.
Still, it was a very fun game and I got some "Will you snail?" vibes from the evil A.I. Great job!
I too am getting some Will You Snail? vibes, the level design looks pretty good aesthetically, and the idea for random mutation is interesting. The controls feel a bit clunky however, and the other mutations doesn't seem as useful as double jump. Dash should be helpful if it's easier to control. The voice lines are very cool and I appreciate the button to unlock everything so people can try things out
This platformer gave me a lot of Portal vibes. Depending on the mutation you get the game can be very tricky, but I found myself wanting make it through each new level so I kept trying till I made it to the end.
There's a lot of really nice level design in here and different enemy robots scattered around each level are a good touch too, well done!
Took many tries but I did manage to beat it. I think the difficulty mainly came from the movement which felt a bit strange. I did really like the idea of getting the different movement options every run though. I could tell that the levels were designed with that in mind. I didn't mind failing so much because I was always trying different paths depending on the mutation I had. For just 48 hours I think you did a great job!
Nice concept! I loved the vibe of it, the voiceover was very well done. It was a bit tricky to navigate with such limited vision, but I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. I can tell you put a lot of time into level design and making sure each level was beatable with any mutation. Unfortunately, the wall jump was unusable to me - having to hold the direction against the wall I was jumping off of would prevent me from reaching the opposite wall, and I'm not able to switch directions midair fast enough to make it work. It's still fully playable with the other mutations, but I'd like the opportunity to explore the levels more and see what routes you planned for that as well.
I like the concept of mutating different powers! But the controls are really slippery, that made the game really hard. I'd also suggest that it'd be good to have a way to know where we should be going, because the levels were big and sometimes I got easily lost. Besides that, good work! Keep it up ^^
