My best time was 71.41 seconds! The best strategy I found was shoving all the icebergs into a corner to pin the ship there, but inevitably, it broke free anyway. Great work!
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD50 → The Inevitable

My favourite spin on the theme :D And the description is perfect! Could be modified for a cool replayable mobile game IMO. Very nice and quirky
Move iceberg instead of moving the ship. A more than interesting idea. The feeling of the water is very real. The truth is that sounds and particles are very well introduced. Nice job!
The situation when not the ships are afraid of icebergs, but the icebergs of the ship. I love to find bugs in such games or any jamming. I managed to develop a strategy when I line up the icebergs in a row in two columns, and the ship stopped, thinking for a very long time. Then I began to push the iceberg into it, after which it did not move and only flew back. I was able to score 160 points by continuing to do so, but apparently I miscalculated somewhere, and he left for the port at great speed. For some reason the screen is not showing up. Overall a small but interesting game.
Incredible game idea and fun theme interpretation! I thought that completely blocking the way would stop the ship, but it seems to be smart enough and always finds a path. Great job!
Very inventive idea. I thought I managed to hold the ship in place indefinitely but I am guessing the driver got frustrated and pushed through my ice :D
I liked the idea; it was a unique spin on the theme! Literally "delaying the inevitable" was very creative and fun. It might have been understated, but I really liked the sound design of this game. While it lacked music, the chugging of The Inevitable and the little bloops from the icebergs really fit the mood and art style of the game. It's incredible how nice this felt to play (and replay) considering the simplicity of it. Thank you for your submission!
Love the idea here and theme here, controlling the icebergs to block the ship from reaching the port xD. I wonder if it would be challenging with more level and more ships XD, sort of like a wave defender game with icebergs, perhaps in a future iteration! Would love to see all the ships I've delayed or sunk in a slide show at the end XD Great job, very well done!
Best theme-fit I have seen so far. I got to 57 seconds. Maybe different shapes and a less stubborn ship would be good?
I enjoyed the chill atmosphere and making the Inevitable think.
Really nice concept, fun little game! Nice little pathfinding algorithm torture tester. That is one stubborn ship, but I have a pretty stubborn ship in my game too!
Gave this a single play. This was by far the most interesting take on the theme I've seen yet. Super creative with the idea, to delay an object like a ship named "Inevitable". I was able to delay it by about 26 seconds. Just kept surrounding it with icebergs, and trying to push the ship into corners haha. Fun game, I'll have to give it at least another play :)
28.92s. Why does it think so much when it finally decides just to ignore my structures
When I saw this I was sure I could break it and get the ship permanently stuck. Couldn't find a way to do it lol
353.47s. I could delay it forever, but I stopped moving the obstacles around after 5 minutes. It took that AI extra time to decide to go through that iceberg blockade.
I love the idea of impeding an AI.
Good game, relaxing. At first I did not understand how to manage, and then I realized that I needed to push the icebergs away. In general, a great toy ;).
Nice twist in the theme! I atually just threw the icebergs to the ship to give it a push back, but I see there are better strategies. 😅 Still, the Inevitable is way more robust than the Titanic!
17.53 seconds for me haha
I made the inevitable arrive late, mission accomplished.
I liked the simple 3D graphics and the gameplay is as you said, torturing the pathfinding AI.
This is a brilliant work of art. Thank you for blessing my soul. Toot toot.
I loved it, even when filling up the port it managed to get in!
