Nice adventure game.

I think I'm stuck. I gave the sword to the hidden frog. I gave the water to the thirsty frog. I gave the teddy to the liar frog (it keeps promising me a coin, but I only received one! :P). I cannot pass the trees to see the frog with the ballon. I picked up a key, but can't enter the house. All I have is a jewel. I tried to interact with the fire but nothing happened.

Overall, a cute little experience :)

Hey I really enjoyed the art style and overall mood of the game. Super cozy feeling from this game 100%, the music was also super good! I had some issues with the delayed movement, how it seems the player is moving from 128x128 sized tiles rather than pixel to pixel. This made moving real difficult and not necessarily in a good way. Also the boundaries for where the player could and could not go to were pretty vague. Aside from that, very charming game with loveable asset work hope to see more from you!

Thanks for the comments a lot of positive and constructive comments. It was daunting entering such a big competition but hearing all of the good stuff and also how to improve has made it worthwhile :)

@fredfilo Sorry to hear you got stuck but there is also another weapon/tool you could use to get to the balloon hiding in the game. You may want to check near the parent frogs house ;)

@maxdmg I tried something different and more akin to old games of the gameboy era with moving in set tile grids. It was something I haven't done before and will definitely have to work on in future.

Thanks to both of you for playing though and look forward to trying both your games out as well :)

@yeti-kid the game was great overall and I definitely see where you were coming with that and totally appreciate a different style of top down movement you were going for

This was a cute game, I love the turtle design. Some collision was weird, able to move on some ground but not others. I think there was two ways to get a coin, but it only ever showed up as one, but only one is needed anyways. It was odd to only being able to get the sword after giving the shovel, but they seem to be identical in purpose. Audio was good, visuals were appealing for this aesthetic. Nice work!

@toppervideogames Thanks, I was pretty happy with how the Turtle came out. I tried to give a few different ways of solving things so players wouldn't get stuck. The sword is just as good a weapon as the sword because Shovel Knight showed us all it is. But thanks for all the feedback I will check your game out, look forward to it.

I liked it! A little rough around the edges, but very, very cute. Loved the characters. Art overall is really good. Music got a bit grating, would've been nice to have at least a few more notes. I think I managed to softlock it on my first playthrough by first giving the shovel to the warrior and then the sword and then I couldn't cut my way to the balloonist, who I hadn't noticed before. But I got it on a replay! I think a longer game done in this style could be really neat. 💜

@ava-skoog Thanks for the review. Definitely could of done more testing to get it right but thanks for the compliments on the art. I can't wait to give your game a go :)
