Good stuff! I like the aesthetic and I think the music fits well. I do think that that the crossbow bolts fire too slowly, it's painful to aim with them. The most effective strategy for me was to stand directly in front of a projectile to shoot it. Also sometimes the ships would drop health packs that would permanently stay off stage, so I couldn't get them. Would've been nice if they had some gravity that was always being pulled in to the queen. Overall a well done project
Decent effort! The perspective made it a little hard to know where enemies and shots are coming from at times, making me fail quickly. I like that you can tank the shots with your body as a form of less-permanent loss. I couldn't get far enough to see if there's more to it, I assume not, but it's got the potential to become a proper coffeebreak-game. Graphics are solid.
Great first 3d project! I liked the coupling of having to shoot health packs with limited ammo.
Music is great, and I really like the 3D perspective you've added. I've never really seen anything like it and the fact that this is your first attempt at 3D is really impressive! Could see this being a fun little mobile game if some more weapon upgrades / enemies were added :)
I like the 3D pixel art style. I thought the goal was to destroy the castle at first so I shot it down immediately lol
This is quite good, all things considered. I love the visuals. My biggest complaint is probably how frail the knight is compared to the queen, and the fact that he can't heal. I found myself dodging cannonballs and letting her take the hits, because I knew she was much more capable of surviving. Even using that strategy, I died from the knight running out of health, while the queen was nearly full.
Cute little blocky 3d retro game, I lasted until day 5. The health packs kept me going for a while. Sound FX and music fit well with the graphics. My main complaint would be the repetetive gameplay, different ships or weapons would be nice, or special itemes like sea mines (when you shoot one, it explodes and destroys other ships nearby).
A the begining I had think it's a land floating on air. But when the first boat arrived I undesrtand it's a see.
Great game for yours first 3D game! Playable and not so difficult.
I like reloading mechanics and bullet speed. The player graphic is great.
Controls a bit stiff, but the gameplay with that music somehow addictive. Good jam game!
Thanks for all the feedback guy!
@bozarre Glad you liked the mix of the two! Think I will try it again in the future in a more relaxed and less pressurized environment haha
@ollie-d Thanks! Think you have definitely picked up points that I wish I had refined and done more play testing! All things I will definitely take note of in future games!
@poshdan Cheers! Definitely wanted more than one method so glad I achieved that! Wanted to add a lot more like treasure chests and upgrades you could buy but time wouldn't allow it!
@cobgoblin Thanks! Really different and learnt a lot! Made tons of mistakes but they help you learn!
@derekbell Thanks Derek! Means a lot and added to my motivation!
@theflanman Thanks! I do like how you see someone in a bed on top of a castle and immediately shot it down haha!
You did a great job with the way the camera moves! I really liked it! Sometimes the player didn't move properly for a second or two, but as the cursor still worked, it was fine.
The music is very cute!
Got a stuck when a health back didn't come back to me, but a fun horde shooter! I liked the graphics and the camera rotation. I'd say you did a good job for your first 3d game!
Awesome job! The art style here is clean and fun. Shooting arrows felt great. I ended up getting stuck in a collision when a health pack came in, but overall the game was good fun :)
Very cute idea for your first 3d attempt. Sometimes the player would just stop and the game would reset, even thought both the player and the queen were full health. Good submission.
Cute game! I kept getting stuck twice and had to abort those attempts but other than that it was a fun challenge. At first I thought that the moving camera angle was a bit annoying to keep targeting things but I got the hang of it.
Looks great! I'm not sure if it's a bug but like 80% of the medkits weren't coming towards me
Jams are awesome for trying out new tools and techniques. I'm glad you tried out 3D because this was a fun take on this sort of tower defense / shoot em up. The fact that you encorporated a day/night cycle was really impressive. I did encounter a bug around day 4 where a healthbox got stuck and caused my character to stop moving (see pic). But overall I was really charmed by the art style and the controls worked well. Nice work!

Liked it a lot, the looks of it caught me instantly. Really stylish. Just good overall. Only complain is that the I got stuck sometimes, I don't know why.
Really neat game! I included it in my Ludum Dare compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/dNThIjw08MI
