The bouncing balls as AI concept is really neat. The implicit tradeoff between reliability, with fewer options, and more options with more options, is great. However, at the end of the day, I feel as if my choices have zero impact on the results of the battle. I think this is an amazing concept, but it needs a little more work so that the player feels he is contributing somehow to to the outcome.
Took me a moment to realize I was pulling back for the hit instead of aiming forward with the mouse. On the other hand, the very quick "dragon runs away from gnome cutscene" was very nice.
Your game is my game, except with 10 times as much gameplay!
Guess I better rate it pretty high.
I like the traps. Especially how the arrow changes the risk calculus from weighing towards "stay at the top" to "stay in the middle."
We are amused.
Needs more cards that have mixed results (positive on one axis, negative on another). The oxygen masks card should totally remove the effect of the crying children, too. That would be super cool.
A saw all the discarded pixel art shields and was sad for the fallen eight-bit heros who went before.

It would have been nice to type in commands without having to press enter first. It would also have been informative if it greeted a syntax error with a syntax error message instead of refusing to accept the input. But I think there is something good here.
The ball is an element of chaos. When I realized I could interfere with the ball, I was happy. Then I learned that the ball's plans are served just as well when I try to manipulate it as not. The ball always wins.

Very pretty, very visually splendid. The unfinished gameplay, especially the fact that I can't really tell what I'm supposed to be doing or why what I'm trying isn't working is a bit of a downer.
