Haha, my first score was about -40K - that's right, a negative value . Controls feedback is not that perfect, probably some additional maneuverability would help, something like [RCS](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reaction_control_system).

Art style is nice, especially the menu with the rocket. And planet should spin, I think.

Thank you!

Here is my playthrough - https://youtu.be/h-mTtzyDdmE, if you interested.

Very cool idea, graphics have a nice style.

All I could suggest is slowing down the overall speed and add more in flight adjustments.

Well done!

flaterectomy 2017-05-01 20:42

A nice take on the theme, but unfortunately all I do is either crash or fly off to discover far away worlds. I like the graphics, but the dashed line following your trajectory actually following rather than having the lines stay in place bothered me a little. :D

I know there's no sound in space, but we launch from within the atmosphere, so something would've been nice. ;)

wevel 2017-05-01 22:38

Cool idea. I think that there should be a line showing the rough path that the rocket will take, would make it a lot more fun to play. Also, it would be nice if there some more levels, maybe with a moon or something. You could then have to deal with N-body orbital paths to try and collect items.

martenscedric 2017-05-01 23:11

Nice idea, but it is really hard! I tried to get score, but not being in negative is hard. I wish the rocket would launch a bit more and it would be cool to have maybe a moon that would orbit and the rocket could be attracted to the moon's gravity. I think the concept is nice, and would be much better with an update

james-dunlap 2017-05-02 00:19

The physics are a little touchy on this one as it is difficult to do anything except fly away or crash. There were also very few fuel canisters which were already hard enough to collect. The graphics style was very nice, but it would have been nice to see the planet rotate.

hbocao 2017-05-03 01:49

Nice entry!

A little bit rough to get used to the gravity, but It's a cool mechanic. I think that the score should only go up, because you crash a lot and maybe tone down the fuel recovery.

And yes, please do some more worki on it!

matthew-albrecht 2017-05-08 17:22

This is a great game, I would like a key to press to stop the rocket in its flight and to bring it back to the previous launch site (with a penalty) as I was impatient with some orbits. I like the challenge with this gravity, I hope you do more with this!

rustybroomhandle 2017-05-10 09:34

I like the idea of a guideline showing the path the rocket will take ^.^ Good concept for a game though, it's designed well graphically with a nice interface, simple mechanics, nice art style. :)

davidrico 2017-05-10 10:31

Nice little game, quite fun. The gravity physics feel a bit weird, but maybe that's just how the world works, I don't know. Almost put the rocket into orbit! Good job, really had some fun. Keep it up!

sun-wukong 2017-05-10 12:37

Neat idea and pretty execution, game feels quite polished. Good fun for several minutes.

I didn't find game difficult at all, never had my fuel drop below 80% but maybe that's because of my 1k hours spent in KSP.

gamequester 2017-05-10 19:43

Quite hard to get the rocket to move the way I wanted it to. I find the idea really good and I think with a bit polish and adjustments this could be a really good game. Good job!

joror 2017-05-10 20:10

Nice little physics game - need some polish on the range of play, I had a very hard time finding a spot where I didn't fly off or crash. Braking controls would have been easiest to add for that I guess.

icewind 2017-05-11 14:41

The controlling of the ship was not really easy. Either I crashed immediately or spun out to nowhere

ajayajayaj 2017-05-12 01:59

Hmm, sometimes it seemed like it did random movements everytime. But, it's a nice concept. Good job!

bomb-x 2017-05-12 22:47

Great idea ! Of course i couldn't go over the symbolic 0 score, but i probably spent more time trying to figure how to make a perfect circle on this than playing and finish the 5 last games, and i enjoyed it ! I didn't understand well the "boost" mechanic though ! But anyway you could polish it by making a tutorial explaning the basics, and i personnally think this would be a hit ! Great job !

jungle 2017-05-12 23:20

I was able to score -13k, hahahaha. Nice idea. Ship control is a bit akward. I think it can be polished and published for mobile devices if you keep the project on! Congrats!

headmade 2017-05-12 23:28

The graphics are simple but nice and clean. Sounds would have added a lot, a shame there aren't any. The ship was incredibly hard to control. As you wrote in the description "You usually either are flung away from the planet into the cold emptiness of space or crash half a second after take-off.", this sums it up very well.

ptsnoop 2017-05-13 09:24

There is a third option! As well as "flung into the cold emptiness of space" and "crash after half a second", there's also "launch at about 45 degrees, loop around in a nice sweeping cardioid-shaped not-quite-orbit and collect all the things". Good game!

rother-games 2017-05-13 10:56

It was difficult to understand how get in a good orbit. Most times the rocket crashed after half a second or escaped the earth. A tutorial would help. Overall you did a good job and the graphics look good.

cameron2134 2017-05-13 11:08

I really like the graphics in this, though I was horrifically bad at actually playing it achieving nothing apart from flying off the map haha. I feel the orbit mechanics could have been improved a bit, it seems quite difficult to remain in orbit, but good job nonetheless

100th-coin 2017-05-13 15:30

Very difficult to keep a positive score, but a really unique concept!

btwj 2017-05-13 19:01

It was kinda hard to stop the rocket from flying off into oblivion. Maybe tweak the gravity at farther distances a bit? Other than that, it was quite fun although my score was negative :P Good job!

boaheck-artgent 2017-05-14 18:12

A fun little game. Had difficulty with the controls but it was well presented and had a solid gameplay mechanical base. It could have done with a bit of a nicer scoring system. I love negative scoring in games usually but here it was far too likely that you would lose points and the crates never gave you many points in return. Perhaps you could have multiplied the value of a crate by its distance from the planet? Overall a solid entry well done!

mikethewayne 2017-05-14 18:42

Pretty cool entry, I'd hate to imagine the math you put into those parabolas! Lots of fun, great game mechanics, something's probably gone wrong with the score, but other than that, brilliant entry!

csanyk 2017-05-17 03:31

I liked your game. It feels similar in a way to my own entry, but it's quite different in many ways. I found the controls difficult, it seemed that sometimes my rocket would go nowhere and crash immediately, and other times it would fly very far, yet I wasn't varying the angle or boost energy that much, or so I thought anyway. It could have been me, but something felt a bit off. Really needs sound effects to feel complete, but what's built is really very nicely done.

lazygamedevza 2017-05-17 15:56

There's a lot of potential in this game, but it feels way too fast and a bit uncontrollable. Having played Kerbal Space Program this feels a bit more chaotic, but in a fun way.
