Nice game, the graphics and music are good. Using the W/S keys for zooming in and out felt a bit strange. I really liked the concept.
The zooming in to see to aim and zooming out to find missiles was cool, but there were a lot of times where it felt impossible to shoot one missile and get to the next one on the opposite side of the planet. Being able to add towers is a cool features. On Mac the controls sometimes wouldn't work for a period of time.
Nice concept. I think the challenge could use a bit of tuning. In the end I found myself pretty zoomed out to be able to see what was going on where. The sounds were a bit annoying with time, and could it be that the planet hit sounds and the missile destruction sounds are the same? Maybe use different ones.
A simple and fun game. The music is really great. I am not a fan of the art style, but this does not mean it is bad. And I would have preferred a in-game tutorial. But overall a good LD Game.
I like your game. Kudos for building from scratch. I basically built a game engine before the competition and just did the jam. The game is really well made. My first time playing I didn't realize that you could build turrets. After that I didn't realize that the grey cylinders were centrifuges, not better turrets. If you want to develop this game further I would suggest making that distinction clearer. A tutorial period of time would be beneficial as well. Overall it is a great game!
Cool game, love the art, not sure if the pixelisation was intended but it's pretty cool
This is excellent! I love the zooming in and out. The way the tank moves over the terrain is very satisfying (I remember trying to do something like that years ago and I failed!!!) The sound is excellent and the music is not too annoying. I love the added element of building turrets as the difficulty starts to ramp up. If I had to nit-pick then I would say:
* It would be nice if, when you zoom out, the world was centered in the middle of the screen so you can see equally in all directions. * When you bring up the build menu, it would be nice if, when you exit, the zoom didn't reset
Oh, and I love how the planet looks like an archery target - very apt!
A superb game!
Neat game. I included it in my Ludum Dare 38 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ekiortcX84M
