Really amazing game! The atmosphere was well-crafted.

Really amazing game! The atmosphere was well-crafted.
Funny take on the theme, I enjoyed being a sentient KEEP.
I thought the idea was clever, naming the robots with acronyms. However, I had a hard time understanding the instructions and did not know how to remove the actions from the planning mode.
This was really fun, and a creative take on the theme.
It was very relaxing to play.
I love the tree felling physics!
This was cute, but I felt like I spent most of the time just admiring the pet.
@thaniel I'm sorry it didn't work. What was happening in the game when it crashed? I'll try to reproduce the crash an diagnose it
@carlix Thank you for the feedback. I realized right before releasing it that it would have been super helpful to be able to back out of the mothership menu. Also, there is a game win state after a few seconds of having full meters/zero rads. We'll use this experience to make the next jam game more user-friendly.
@ldf-productions thanks!
@inaki-roque thank you! Your game had a kindred spirit but way nicer implementation.
This was actually very touching and well created -- adorable! My wife liked it too~
This was a funny concept. The play session went really fast
I liked the pace of the game and the "Quackers!"
I really wanted to continue through the memories of the character, but trying to figure out the Cromica camera gave me a big roadblock to getting further. The idea was very fresh, and I commend the team for following it through, despite the risks in gameplay.
This was really fantastic, wow! The mechanic was well-executed to keep me thinking about the paths with limited options, especially the up/down and left/right. The ending was amazing!
Really well done, I liked the news feed and salad jokes!
I was looking everywhere to see if I could find more bullets. Very tough and moody
@plomeg Thanks. I've liked using SFML for a long time.
@fermingimpel Thanks for the feedback. We had a few more features planned that didn't make the time frame, but kept 5 stages of gameplay anyway. And it was a huge map too. Next time, I think the map could be about 1/3 of the width and still feel great.
@streetgeek thanks so much!
@tudypie Thank you so much!
@xparker @rayo @offdutyextractors I'm sorry that the game didn't open for you. I compiled it with SFML in C++, but have tried recompiling again. This link is a hotfix, please let me know if it works for you: http://feyleaf.com/downloads/LD48%20-%20An%20Unforgiving%20Sea%20-%20April%2029%20Hotfix.zip
@morepixels thanks for playing the game.
@shaymin thank you for the feedback. next time, we'll make getting back to the boat easier.
This was a good mechanic. I liked the strategic aspect.
This game was very smooth and had a straightforward mechanic. It got way harder the deeper I went!
Very moody. I felt hopelessly lost in the 3rd level down, but I imagine that's the point. Good job!
This was a fun challenge. The frustration level was getting deeper and deeper as I progressed the levels.
The game was really well orchestrated, and the massive waves of troops gave me some feeling of urgency to save these tiny folks.
It has a learning **curve** but I enjoyed trying to keep the timelines alive. Best was year 2228.
Whoa. This is really a treasure to play! I love the minimalist style that has so much depth, even when natives are a couple of pixels, I can feel emotion coming from them. The islands are great, the constant sound of the sea keeps me immersed. In my opinion, this is a masterpiece for a compo title.
Ihe story is great, and the puzzles kept intriguing.
This was as frustratingly fun as the inspiration game. I loved the voice acting!
This was a "cool" mechanic, but overall I got pretty frustrated no knowing how much jump power my ice cube had.
@erikengineengineer thank you I fixed it
Thank you, @the3rdhunter , @jsmitq! The music was a keygen song, from [Abundant Music](https://pernyblom.github.io/abundant-music/index.html); converted to ogg format, which sounded *way* better than the original midi.
I agree about the countdown timer, although the timer doesn't even have a bearing on the player score. It was a feature I skipped due to rushing Sunday.
@ath-ai glad to hear it worked.
@zubspace thank you, I will keep the hectic aspect in mind.
@jakobthequizguy thanks for your detailed feedback. I wasted a lot of time failing at the golden ratio for the screen and, as you pointed out, that shows on screen.
The lighting and camera effects really helped with the feel of this game. I felt the inevitable doom closing in every time I turned around.
The color palette really accentuated the mood of this game. Defeating the 2nd tier baddies was unintuitive, but once I grasped the concept I saved a handful of more people.
This is a good exercise for my less-than-impressive memory. I had a good laugh when the attacker customers "hated to do this!"
This was a lot of fun, even though the controls were very fickle. The sound was intoxicating, I liked the click-clack of the rover when it lands, like an RC car from childhood.
This was an intense game! I enjoyed the fast pace, but the wall jump controls were really frustrating.
Very clever simple design. I liked the speediest van and the pun on "home delivery."
This was a really good puzzle. It had me strategizing frantically with each round. I like the vibrating speech balloons when the customers were running out of time -- that offers the best feedback for their urgency.
This was as intense as any NES game I had played in childhood. You captured the aesthetic well, and the urgency of the situation. Well done, I had a lot of fun!
The graphics and audio are an amazing throwback! I kept imagining I could jump on the critters, which made my customers less than happy. Overall, the game had an abundance of fun and challenge. Well done!
This was amazing! Hilarious reasons for serving the targets, and the audio and visuals were outstanding. Great job~
This was an interesting concept. I liked the "ribbit" sound effect, and just the right amount of challenge in the jump puzzles.
@kykypy3o8 @rakowu @soloadventurergames thanks for posting these. the problem has been addressed, and you ought to be able to run the game properly now.
@pvg thank you for considering that. Really, it isn't very cut-and-dried for a jam/compo. In the idea phase, I had considered the question "what can I use to show the player how each person is oppressed by demons?" My imagination went to a bunch of complex issues that brought me to conclude "no, these people will just look pushed down..."
This was pretty fun after I realized what was going on. Good ramp-up of the speed! The longer I played, the better it felt. Smooth and clean interface, and I really like the lighting on the crystals.
This was very atmospheric, it did give me the chills. This poor mailman had a good "inner" monologue, helping even more with the tone of this chilling game. Thanks for putting the effort into it!
It took me examining the first screen very closely to realize that you can turn the belts using the scroll wheel. This is clever, and I have a soft spot for factory-style puzzles. Delightful and well done.
This was a fun take on the idea. Pico-8 is a clean and smooth aesthetic.
A very quaint game, I enjoyed the whole thing. Thank you for the note about planned audio in the future. It would be good to hear something while perusing the garden.
I had a blast, thank you. I solved the case and I like the dinosaur. Keep it up!
