cool and chill game great work !
Pretty fun! I enjoyed the fishing mini game but the ball one wasn't as enjoyable. It was kinda odd to load the mini game and wait for everything to spawn. At first I thought I had to throw the ball just right to get multiple items. I think it would be better if you could get multiple items from one throw and if the items spawned in place rather than off screen.
The graphics are very nice. The interface was a bit confusing but after a bit of trial and error I figured it out so not really a big deal.
Anyways, good game! Good job!
This was cute, but I felt like I spent most of the time just admiring the pet.
The art was cute, and that's a fun way to do a lil fishing mini-game. I agree that the ball game takes a lil long to start, but otherwise, not a bad job at all! Well done :grinning:
* The art helped me feel a genuine connection with the mewbie. I felt awful whenever it started weeping. * I was very confused about what to do and how to do it, and I'm still not sure I understand how to play. In game explanations for controls are nice, but I think even having a "how to play" section on the jam page would make the first few minutes less frustrating for new players. * I think being able to save is an underrated feature in jams, it's great that you have it here, especially in a long-form game where you might leave it and come back. * I'm not sure what strategy is better, fishing for things and then buying stuff or grabbing items via boing ball. Maybe if the store only sold things you couldn't get elsewhere, that would encourage players to use the boing ball for a quick hunger / happiness fix and then fish for currency so they could get the cool stuff the store had. Or maybe selling items could be a feature, I dunno. * Being able to jump between games and home and the store whenever I wanted was nice; lots of games like this will force players to play a mini-game for a set amount of time, and that's not as fun. * Overall, a cute game. Nice work!
I thought if I used an item at the shop it would sell it and instead I gave the mewbie something it hated haha
Great to see another tamagotchi game! There really are a lot of items and not 1 but 2(!) minigames. The minigames could have been more involved though and the needs decayed quicker. But regardless of that, Great job!
The mewbie looked adorable (as well as the rest of the artwork). I wished the game would explain to you how the minigames worked, got confused by them the first time I played them.
