I like the game but i didn't understandt how to play at first. It will be awesome if you write a description for your game.

@naganen Edited my post to have a "how to play" section, thanks for the notice.
Really fun game. I really like how the music changes with the speed of the car. I found my self laying it for ages because it was so addicting
Simple concept, very well executed! I really liked this. Similar to the concept I had actually, with the one-button gameplay, which I love! Well done!
I enjoyed how the music sped up and slowed down with the van speed.
It's a good game! It's easy to learn as the game tells you how to play it while you are playing it. I really like it!
Didn't read the "how to play" at first so I was a little confused, but overall really great game! I was determined to never slow down, but it started to get pretty hard around 25 or so
One thing is, once you start getting pretty fast, it can be hard to read whether a sign is to speed up or slow down, so I didn't really know which one I was pressing, for the house it makes sense since that's what makes the game progressively harder, but I feel like it would be nice if the signs were easier to see at higher speeds. Great job on your submission, though!
Haha, the music changing speed is really funny for some reason. I hadn't heard of wasm-4 before but it looks really cool. I love how much new tech the web is getting.
It really gets moving! Fine job!
The music speeding up/slowing down based on what you do is a really nice touch! I love the one button gameplay, it's so simple yet so addictive for some reason! Was confusing at first but eventually got the hang of it. I think the text that pops up should be telegraphed a bit better/be a bit easier to see.
This is pretty fun! As others have said, the music changing speed is a very cool touch! I do wish you got points when you didn't press the button on a completed house, though.
This is fun the music changing speed is very cool I liked the artstyle of green thought it was different the only place I have seen that is a game a youtuber benbonk is making Good game!
Fun game, nice graphics, liked that the sound changes with the speed.
Interesting game. Took me a while to understand what was happening, but got there in the end. Great submission :)
nice one! I enjoyed. It just got too easy after understanding the objective. VERY nice music, and I loved how it changed according to my speed, really good audio design. Well done!
Took a minute to understand it, but then it worked well. Nice art style, but could do with a bit more gameplay. Like the other I really enjoyed the dynamic music!
Nice & simple game! The sounds are a bit harsh when you just start playing, maybe add some fade-in at start, or use a softer instrument (like a sine wave based instead of square wave, idk). Would be fun if the music went higher in pitch when you speed up (the same way it goes down in pitch when you slow down). The core gameplay gets a bit too repetitive with time, so maybe you could add more stuff that appears by the road with time or somehow increase the difficulty, something like that.
It's fun but it's really confusing to figure out how to play. The game would really benefit from a short tutorial.
Simple and fun game. Audio was interesting. It would have been better to have a visual difference between Speed up and Slow down signs since as the speed increases it becomes almost impossible to read. But nevertheless had fun playing it.
I love the simple artstyle and the music! how the music slows down with you was really nice too! great game
I like these GameBoy vibes. That's a nice small-scope game for a Compo. Also, I think text flickering should be slower just to be more readable (at least keep it longer when it's visible). I liked that game won't harm you for picking slowing debuffs. It's curious how I destroy buildings with a press of a button, though :D Nice entry!
Fun little game.
I wish I had the delivery service to build my house while playing an ice cream truck song, haha!
There's not much to say there. The mechanics and controls are simple. I like that you have multiple actions to take. The audio slowdown caught me off by surprise in a good way :musical_note:
A well scoped entry, would enjoy it on the gameboy, had I one. Good job!
Interesting engine, haven't heard about this one before! I got a little bit overconfident towards the end, so I was driving super quickly, but the game showed me who was the boss.
The dramatic change in BGM tempo depending on the gameplay situation is very interesting! The overall unity of the game's elements is also strong and beautiful.
Amazing game! No walls of text explaining how to play, just gets you straight to the point!
Great game! I can totally see this as an alternative to the chrome dino game you get with no internet connection ^^
Nice after getting the hang of it. Really fun!
Nice game. I really like how the music reacts to your change of speed. I like the simple controls, although I would like if there was a bit more to it to increace the difficulty as you progress.
Nice little game, really like the gameboy aesthetic! The music fits well and I like the dynamic changes (also found it funny that music is like half of the source code). However, it gets tiring mostly because the game goes on too long - once you get a hang of the controls, it is hard to mess up. One suggestion would be the old classic three lanes with some obstacles that need to be managed at the same time.
Great art style and fun simple gameplay concept. The "tutorial" overlays get a bit annoying after a while.
Really interesting mechanics. It's like you get to choose your difficulty by speeding up or slowing down. The music is great.
Fun aesthetic! I enjoyed the simple controls.
Nice aesthetic! Really fun but simple gameplay too. I do wish the difficulty increased more as time goes on though. Definitely a chrome dinosaur sort of game.
It was fun. I like how it feels like some 80's simple arcade game. Not sure if intended but I take it as a positive thing! Music and graphics were cute and the changing of music speed was a great touch!
Overall its quality and good for the right audience! When it gets put up to personal taste you have a winner!
The music changeing with car speed was pretty funny.
Very addictive. At some moment started trying to get as fast as possible
Does it get faster with time? It doesn't seem so, so you could just run indefinitely? I tried to get as fast as possoble after a while because I got bored, it is quite repetetive. More houses (where you have to press different buttons) or other stuff could make it a bit fancier.
The "tutorial" text also gets annoying after some time, it made me feel like a child whose parents have to tell them a billion times not to eat yellow snow.
Nice fun and simple game. Love the graphics and how the music changes with your speed. One thing I wish was better was that you guarantee that a broken house comes every now and then, because I had a long section where it was only complete houses and speed down signs, so I didn't do anything.
Highlight: Artstyle
Lowlight: Repetitive
Overall a great simple game that is coupled with a cool artstyle which is reminiscent of playing on my Gameboy Color. Pixel art looked great and the music adjusting to the speed of the vehicle was a nice touch. I appreciated the in-game prompts at first, but then they became annoying as they continued. Unfortunately, I did find myself getting bored of the game after playing for some time due to the repetitive nature of it.
This is a great game! It got a bit boring after a while though.
Seems like everything there is to say has been said. A simple but well done game. I got a streak of 25 houses without ever slowing down!
Fun game, feel like the destroyed houses should've been weighted a little higher, ran through massive streaks of having nothing. The slow down signs felt really just annoying to hit, which might've been your point.. haha! Was fun, but not enough variety after a bit. Cute pixel audio and graphics though~
I wish real houses were set up this quickly and easily ;) I did eventually fail intentionally as there wasn't really anything new, but that's certainly not too unusual with the small scope of most Compo games. The music changing speed is definitely cool, and the gameboy style graphics are neat. Nice, simple game. Great work!
i like the gameboy style graphics and music, but idk how to play, it would be great to have a tutorial on the goal/ mechanics rather than a text asking me to press X
It's awesome that the game's rhythm is synchronized with the music!
Very impressive building this in WASM. The art style is pretty kickass. Well done!
Pretty art style, music is nicely synced with the speed, simple but fun mechanic with only one button. Nicely done! This would be popular as a mobile game I think. Very good entry overall.
Cool 8bit kind of game. You can technically run forever ( I think ) there could be an increase in difficulty or a time limit os that it doesnt ?
Nice Soundtrack! Although it is quite simple, i enjoyed it. Although the Delivery only consists out of Reparing homes...
Quite a simple game. While I was playing, I was thinking that there are too many slow down signs, and it also would be nice to do something with the difficulty (it is too easy right now). Great job, anyways!
Reminds me of old mobile games :) Nice simple gameplay loop and I really like the adaptive music. I like the one button input, more possible effects would be cool.
Very addictive... I can't stop playing XD
Simple and addicitf game ! Really fun to play and to ear !
Funny little game, simple mechanics yet addictive :) good job
It's ok! Keep delivering.
Cute and simple fun game, liked the speed up / slow down of the music !
I liked that the music changes with the speed. Once you understand the gameplay, there is no particular difficulty, so i fell like there could be an increase in the difficulty
I like the dynamic music! Moving forward, I think it would be a good idea to tell your users how to play in the description, but I figured it out eventually.
I liked the background music and it was cool that it was made in WASM - always wanted to try coding in that. Nice job :)
Lovely music! After a while going fast the wrecked houses kinda stopped spawning, with only the slow down sign or normal houses spawning. Nice little game!
Nice game! I especially liked the dynamic music pitch. Honestly, it made me think that there would be a creepy twist later.
What a nice little game! It reminded me of games like snake or the ones you could play on old phones.
Interesting game, but I do wish there was more to do
Little game, easily understandable mechanics, a solid entry for a game jam. Great adaptive sound design!
Nice little game!
Music speeding up and slowing down with gameplay is a very nice touch ahah. The game is simple but works well, well done :)
Basic but good idea
It's pretty simple but still fun. Is there are purpose to speeding up? I was able to keep on going essentially forever by maintaining a leisurely pace.
Very clever simple design. I liked the speediest van and the pun on "home delivery."
Nice and simple game! I like the music 😊
I love the retro style of the art and the music. It fits very well!
Nice job!
I like how simple the concept is, nice job.
Very cute little game you have there!
The adaptive music was really a nice touch. I guess it was all played from code note by note or was it an MP3 with some effects on it?
I also really appreciated the alternative mouse/keyboard input for accessibility :)
Cute game! I am a big fan of the adaptive music. It would be nice if there were fewer slow down signs later on + more houses to prevent gameplay from reaching a plateau once you get the hang of it. Great job!
This is so simple, I love it! The Game Boy aesthetics are really cool too! I like how you made the music tempo speed up and slow down with the game play too! This is really on theme too!
Really simple, but effective entry! I wish there were a bit more to it, but I loved the Game Boy look, the bgm with the slowdown and such, just a polished little submission! Not much to say other than that, good job!
Very simple, well done game. I really liked how the music would change tempo based on your performance. I do wish it was a steeper difficulty curve though. Well done!
Really addictive! I really like the slowing down of the music, great game!
@grid96 The music slowing down effect is possible because of how wasm4.org handles audio. You can't play mp3s directly, but you can play a tone at a specific frequency with a specific duration with one of four audio channels (two pulse, one triangle, one noise). So I quickly made the music in LMMS, then transcribed the notes into the game's code. Then, when I wanted to lower the pitch of the audio, I just reduced the frequency parameter when the note is played. You can see all this being done here: https://git.seodisparate.com/stephenseo/LD53/src/branch/main/src/music.rs . Thanks for the comment!
