I loved the art style. I would love to see a post-jam version.

Appreciate the web build! The character is pretty iconic visually. movement was a little floaty and some invisible walls unintuitive, but darn if this didn't have a good presentation that begs for more. Looking forward to where it goes. The level flow was good, rarely had any confusion and could make pretty solid guesses about where to go or what to try next.
I really like the ambiance and environment set up! The gameplay is polished enough, and this is one of the games I never got confused playing! The level was short and sweet, and I think that's a great thing!:) I like how much you set up and fit into one stage while managing to keep everything feeling consistent. Fantastic!
Fantastic aesthetic, you really nailed the gloomy mood. Loved it.
I enjoyed this. Reminds me a little of Hollow Knight. Great artwork, but the collisions seemed a little wonky.
Game play buttons are not traditional, they should get highlighted when mouse over is there. Its hard to determine whether you are suppose to click them, I mean doesn't take long to figure it out but that will help. Same goes for your graphics, all are in same tone/color maybe the ones that doesn't require skipping can be in different tone (background) whereas where you have to skip should be in different tone. Nice and smooth animation well done on that. You can use more elements in the game except for just one character to make it more immersive. Overall a good try !!
Nice little game. I liked the artwork and style. The leveldesign was good too. I had fun.
very cool art style!
Omg the ambient is so chilling, suits perfectly. If you add some post-processing and more env sounds it could be a post-LD game :)
I really liked the mood and your art-style, the game was fun to play. It was sometimes hard to know which parts of the level are in the background or solid
Coll ambiance ! I join @kwaku to say that would be very nice to add some sounds :)
Graphics style is fantastic, platform collision/jump space could need some fine-tuning so it's a bit more forgiving. Overall a fun game with nice mood & aesthetics
Oh my lord the door sample! Love it!
But for real. I love the gloomy style and anbd the ambient sounds. Movement feels a little soft for my liking but still.
The progression that's happening feels really realy good.
Really like the look of the character, super cool. Pretty nice platformer and really fun to find things like when you get the double jump. The controls are a bit strange but maybe its like that on the web.
Nice graphics, I liked the art style ! The ambiant sound is interesting though as a lot of other people said, other sounds would have been nice since it can begin to feel repetitive.
Overall, you did a nice job and you can be proud of you guys !
Cool Artstyle with nice Limbo vibes :)
Cool art style, I love it!
The Art syle is very nice and moody but I totaly miss the theme here! Or I just dont get it ^^
I like the art, interesting to see the full version after jam
First game I actually finished, although I nearly gave up when I died after getting the ladder and had to restart  but it was actually pretty fun and the art/music combo worked well with the mood you were going for!
Love the graphics, and the ambiance of the game. It is a little frustating to fall and die without clearly seeing that it is a hole but overall it's a really nice game !
i love this art! so cool)
Nice style ! The raven-guy reminded me of the crow people in Monument Valley :) Looking up for the following episode of this journey.
Loved the art! Would love to see a post-jam version of it! One of the best games I have played uptil now!
I adore this art style, great job!
Hey, Monument valley boys ! No, i really enjoyed the artistic part ! well done
Really liked your game. Dark and interesting theme. I like the character
Nice game! Big fan of the art style and I like the way you introduced mechanics like making me use the double jump right after I get it.
This game ve Limbo vibes with both graphic and sound :)
Amazing entry! The mood of this game is amazing, as well as its graphics and gameplay. Good job!
Nice art style and feel for the game, very moody! It was sometimes a bit confusing where you can and can't go, as everything was in the same tone.
This art style is great! Everything feels cohesive. Much better than trying to go for a more complicated style and not quite nailing it.
I love the art style.
visuals remind me of The Longing https://store.steampowered.com/app/893850/THE_LONGING/
have you played it?
Atmoshpheric graphics and overall design.
Very brief, but really good in tone and aesthetic. I feel like the player could be tweaked a little to match the scenery more visually, but that's only a small thing. The gameplay itself did feel a bit clunky, mostly because of the lack of animation and because the interactions with things were very instantaneous. Giving a bit more feedback to the player as they're doing things would go a really long way here I think. The moody aesthetic you were after was absolutely captured though, both in audio and visuals. Nice work!
oh my god its beautiful
Great game ! Really nice design, I just hope it could have more lore details or some story behind it because the game world looks really interesting !
Love the artwork style and animations! Being greyscale you nailed tonal interest here. I feel like there should have been damamge caused by standng on the dynamite lol!
The artwork and overall aesthetic is very good. Replacing the invisible walls with actual walls would probably be better. It was cool picking up items and abilities, but a little annoying that you lose them when you die. I would suggest having a checkpoint at each item.
Really nice lvl design and artwork! Very simple but could have more animations, like, when you explode the rock, the game could show it falling down!
I really like the aesthetics of the graphics, but it was not always clear for me which objects would collide with the player and which would not. And it would have been nice if the death pit in front of the key was telegraphed in some way. Overall a very interesting game with potential.
A little nitpick though: If the firefly is the only source of light what are the candles at the skeleton ;)
Excellent art style! The atmosphere of the game is great. Keep on the good work
loved the art and ambiance overall thanks for your entry
Had some trouble with the level itself and did not like losing my stuff 5 times haha, but besides that. nice game.
not a fan of the invisible walls but the rest. Wo. Solid level design practices wrapped up in a nice aesthetic and vibe. Definitely a good base for things to come
Hey there, I really liked the level layout, the graphics, and the art for this game. I think you did a really good job with the pacing of the level. The one thing I think you could fix is the indicator of the first death pit. I think its hard to tell that you can actually die if you fall in. Also you could make spikes for the second pit more visible to the player, because for one, they look cool, but for two not knowing if there is anything on the other side of the pit makes the player wonder if they can actually go over there. Anyways, great work on your game, and it was fun to play. Good Work!
I like the atmosphere, but it just kind of starts and ends, and I'm not really sure what's going on. I also got confused about what to do with the TNT for a while, I didn't notice the floor opened and thought I had broken the game. The art is pretty good and sets the mood quite nicely.
Mirroring the other comments your look and atmosphere of your game is top notch. Most of what I think has been said, but I will say I like that you can run off a ledge and still jump. From a programming prospective I have had trouble getting this to work well, and i applaud it's use. I do wish there was more, it being a jam and all it's to be expected, but it feels like we scratched the tip of the iceberg. Good work! I hope you continue to work on this.
I'm gonna repeat what a lot of people said and say the atmosphere, music and art were awesome. Seriously, I loved it. I will say I'm a platforming scrub, so take this next part with a grain of salt. The rocks/trees/branches etc that were platforms were not very distinct from background items that were not platforms, so I jumped around a lot trying to figure out what I could stand on and what I couldn't. To me the game was a little too punishing. For instance, in the very beginning I had to climb tree branches (to get the area with the double jump) and kept smacking my head on a branch during the last jump and dropping all the way back down to the ground, so I had to run all the way back to the right and start the climb again, only to fail again. I made it after like the 6th try (I'm bad). Eventually I got the double jump and the dynamite and I guess I blew up a boulder then dropped down to where the ground level was but was somehow underground now? Maybe that cracked up part of the ground I saw earlier was gone? It was a little disorienting, but I moved on. I saw a hole in the ground and went down, since I was able to do this earlier to get to where I was now, and I got reset to the start of the level, so I quit. You taught me I could go down holes, but then killed me for going down a hole. Overall the game looks, feels and sounds great, but for me, the platforming needs just a bit more tuning to help me understand where I'm at and what I can do. Keep up the good work.
I loved playing you game! Art was great! Super impressive for you first game!
I liked the art and the relative challenge, although the explosion was too loud. But good job.
Very nice atmosphere and environment. I enjoyed the progress with the different items in very different places. Would have loved to find out more about the raven-human and the story behind him. Nice one!
Great explosion. would loved to have had music or more sound but well done game.
Cool art style and camera and smooth movements. Good way of teaching the player the double jump by forcing them to use it straight away in the pit.
I liked the polish and the mood very much. Really like The Birb too, gave it a real sense of "otherness"
Okay, guyz, the graphics are mesmerizing. The dark/ambient mood it is amzing, but it require some dark/ambient music too!
Playing it, I feel like some kind of sacred raven (as Higinn and Muninn, kinda of)
Bravo!
I loved the atmposhere, which reminds me of David Lynch's dark universes. The music (Twin Peaks' style, Lynch again) is perfect to match with the art style. I was sometimes troubled not to be able to move in one direction or another, for it was not clear there was a wall stopping me, maybe having bigger lines would have helped. But, all in all, a good experience ! Thanks !
the art is really nice. keeping the music minimal actually works really well here, despite what some are saying. for this kind of style, sound design is everything, so adding some really well produced sounds later on will work wonders, without that, it's very difficult to create that mood that you're looking for. what you have is a great start, however.. there are some issues with jumping, as it felt that occasionally it was difficult to land close to the edge of a platform? it's also kinda difficult to distinguish what is a platform and what is backdrop. it's frustrating having invisible walls preventing you from exploring further, but i suppose that allows room for expansion later on? the character looks really cool, but I wonder if something could be done with his colouring to make him fit the palette a little better? maybe a light grey outline? a double jumping animation would've been really nice so much potential for this though, looking forward to see what comes next!
Very good ambience, excellent graphics, short and sweet. Hope you two make a full game out of this, with a bit more depth!
Thanks guys for your comments! We read them all, and thanks to your positive feedback, we seriously thought about continuing to work on this project! We gonna improve things that you mentioned here and that we think work not well. Also I will work on more animations for character like double jump or picking up items. Hopefully one day we will release on steam :)
😉👌
I love the art style and the birb animations are pretty fun to watch. I did appreciate the little tutorial signs to teach you about the double jump. I do wish there were more sound effects in the game. but overall it was pretty fun. I liked how you get different items and such.
It was very short but it had you doing platforming and solving puzzles which is pretty cool to see in a jam game. I had fun with this one.
Very nice ambiance, and very pretty art. I found the double jump tutorial sign pretty cheeky, but could've used another one for the TNT, which I couldn't figure out how to use. Still, definitely potential here!
Great artstyle and mood, dark and gloomy. I think you could make it even darker and gloomier with the use of post-processing ad some creative 2d lighting!
Solid gameplay. Clever idea to use signs as tutorials.
Didn't quite get what was the connection to the theme. I guess you planned for the second location to explain that, but didn't have time to make it?
Anyway, nice entry!
I love the mood and art! Level is fun as well. I enjoyed gathering the items/double jump ability without any instructions. Only thing is a bit unclear what I am able to stand on what what is the background. Overall it's a fun game to play! It would be cool if more content is added, and there is a larger story behind it :).
I had a hard time telling what was solid or just visual.
I thought the top of a tree would be a platform. I thought I could walk out the back of the TNT shop. There was a rock somewhere I thought I could walk in front of. There was a pit that killed me when I fell in it when it looked harmless (after getting the key when returning to the right, I jump down and cant see the ground or the pit). The later giant pit at least had a warning sign, but it's pretty scary to not know what you are aiming to land on.
Good level design, graphics and sound. It looks a little bit like "Limbo". It would be even better if we could play with a controller (and if the game were longer!).
The game is nice and generally forgiving until you get to the bottom part of it.
My main complaint is lack of checkpoints. It's just disheartening to have to start over and go from the very beginning if you accidentally fell into somewhere you did not know it's dangerous.
The atmosphere, the graphics, the audio though... those were pretty top-notch, well done!
Graphically looks very good! There are quite a few glitches however. The tnt sound effect plays much after the explosion, and if you try to go back into the lower portion after getting the ladder, it unceremoniously plops you right back where you were. There were also a few too many invisible walls for my taste.
Art and sound were very good. Leaps of faith felt bad, but the controls were good.
Awesome ambient game, enjoyed the puzzle aspect to it. Great entry felt very polished. I even managed to hang from a ledge by my "nose" :D
Love the art style, animations and color of all the game. It need to be more finished but is a great idea to develop an interesting title.
Nice platforming level! As most people have said the art style gives it a nice mood, and the level layout is accessible and interesting. There are some pretty easy fixes that could help make the game feel more polished: the timing of the sounds (such as the explosion), making the invisible walls visible/un-traversable objects, and having a little more visual distinction for some of the areas (for me the pits that causes what could be a death, idk?, if there was say a gradient darkness coming from the bottom that could be a visual cue that falling down this pit wont take you to a new part of the level like some of the other leaps of faith did before)
Nice game! Loved the artstyle & animations. Also, the character reminds me of Monument Valley birds :) Nice mood & audio, too. Liked the small metroidvania gameplay. Good job!
