I think the tutorial/messaging system is amazing. UI is clear and self expplanatory.
While I understand you would want the base mining speed to be slow so it is an area for player upgrades, I feel it's a little too slow and discouraged me from playing more into the game.
Implementation of the theme is good but generic.

I like the way that this game plays, and I think that it really could be expanded on in the future
I'm a sucker for progression based games, so I played this for a while and I have a few suggestions. First of all, mining should go way faster. It's incredibly tedious taking 10 seconds to mine a single block. Also, there should be some greater goal. Just a screen that says 'you win!' would make it all worth it, but as it stands, you just get the best drill and then marvel at the empty shops. Also, I don't think it's necessary to have two different shops, especially since one of them only sells one thing. One last thing, I bought the helmet, but then I didn't encounter a single falling rock, so it wasn't clear whether it actually did anything. But, yeah, I had a bit of fun playing this, and I'm sure you're aware of most of these issues, so I'll lay off you now, haha.
@quinn-patrick Thanks for the feed and yes I am aware of the games many, many issues but to solve many of those a major refactor would be needed which I didn't have the time for. (For example the current time to mine anything is 5s, 3s with the first upgrade, 1s with the final so I don't know how I would make it faster without changing the whole mechanic.) I am terribly sorry about the lack of a win screen that must have bin frustrating but I hope the cave with all the ore somewhat made up for it, but initially I didn't want the game to end there and it din't cross my mind afterwards. Again thanks for the feedback! P.S. The helmet was needed to go to the second floor.
@devparty Thanks I may consider it!
@maximilian-ansell Thanks for the feedback and sorry about the slowness.
REALYYYYY Nice game!!!! Great pixel art! I really liked the player progression rate! Not to easy, but also didn`t take too much effort, great game!!! For some reason, while playing it, my CPU fan went CRAZY! heaheahehaehahea and the CPU clock spiked! (Where u mining bitcoin while I was playing? LOL Awesome game!)
Definitely an ambitious design for this game jam. Mining takes waaaay too long, which turned me off almost instantly. Similarly-- why is everything so far apart? Also why is the player positioned so oddly at the bottom 1/3rd of the screen? This game could've benefitted a lot from bringing all the locations closer together, minimizing travel time, reduced mining speed, and a basic lerp between the player's mouse and the player character.
Game is nice and you were able to make good looking game with good features but the night time and the cave is a bit dark, mining takes too much time and the SFX is too loud but you provides the off button which is a nice thing.
@angrysandwich Thanks I appreciate it a lot, I am not 100% on what caused the CPU issue but I did have some issues regarding the unity default default shaders on older CPUs.
@notpjriavs Thanks for the feedback, yes mining is an issue but I don't think I could have done it any other way without effecting the progression. As for everything being far apart I am sorry it would probably be better but it didn't cross my mind. As for the player being awkwardly positioned that may differ from screen to screen, but I don't think having him move to the mouse would be better.
@deepak-kr Thanks for the comment, did you find the cave and night time annoyingly dark even with the flashlight? Mining is a problem I don't think I can solve and sorry about the Sfx volume and they needed more work in general but I didn't have enough time.
This is a great start to a fun adventure/mining simulator style game. You got your base, now finish it! Good job.

Nice game. I liked how you put in a little dialogue in the game. The sound was good. It had a little progression system that worked pretty well. The game could have used some animation with the character.
I like the art of the guy! Unfortunately when I got back to the store to sell my first load, and saw how much I still needed in order to speed up the process, I had to bow out. Mining seemed to be 100% about spending time, and not about any interesting choices or story.

I like that you story elements and a day/night cycle. Game seemed repetitive. You can add some variety by introducing obstacles or enemies or reducing the time to mine. The entire game should have been playable via keyboard, there was no need to add a mouse component. Overall, solid entry. Well done!
This game is the beginning of something bigger

I had fun playing man. If i could do things a little bit faster i would have played a lot more. I like the concept and how you explained what has to be done. Btw the combination of music, graphics and lore made it humorous. Cool entry and keep up the good work man :)

Wow, great pixel art! The gameplay a little slow as some people said but a great experience

Interesting game! I'm amazed you managed to get so much playtime. The mechanics aren't anything we haven't seen before, but the way they're put together makes a fun and playable full package. I have a few small gripes, like how the camera is centered above the character instead of on him which makes navigation a bit harder in the beginning, or how the mining sound effect is grating on the ears, but other than those kinks this game is really great!
