The low-poly art is great, especially the animals!
The button presses were a bit difficult, as I'm using a German keyboard layout, i.e. yxc. Would be cool to have the y and z keys do the same thing.
Wow that was a very challenging night watch. In the end I had like 20 bears and a huge ass gorilla. I'm glad they were mostly peaceful (I barely got damage). I really like the aesthetics of the game :) Some Sounds would have been nice! Great job though. Yes, the button layout was a little challenge.
Nice art work. It would be nice if the character has an idle animation. Also the char moves faster when you give diagonal input. Better to normalize it. Lastly, there would be better damage indicator instead of switching the visibility on and off. But good job overall.
Great job getting so much 3D art done for the jam! It looks pretty good. I did find the gameplay confusing. I wasn't sure how often I needed to feed the fire, and it was hard to tell when I made an attack what the area it was hitting was, or if I successfully connected with an enemy. A visual effect and sound when hitting any enemy would go a long way.
I love this game !
I had no clue what was going on. Were you supposed to kill the bears or just scare them away. Whenever I would hit them they would just flash and I didn't know how to survive. The graphics were nice its just I didn't know what was going on.
Interesting game - I couldn't get rid of the bears no matter how many times I hit them.
I feel like some audio or sound effect could really enhance the gameplay, like how you're alone in the dark surround by animals. Other than that, great art style, very clean looking model and environment. There's a few things here and there that can use some polishing but overall it's a great game. Nice job!
So, overall nice basic protect the camp idea. The movement was a bit clunky, and being able to run faster would have been nice. Maybe also some sort of difficulty/enemy spawning scale so you could get used to how things worked before being overwhelmed by bears.
The animals kept getting stuck on each other so I just kept waving my long feather duster thing (was it a torch?) at them and it had little to no effect and left no time for anything else. Also an audio aspect would have really helped to boost the atmosphere of the game overall. Definitely a few bugs to work out on that front making the whole process smoother overall, but there is potential for a nice management system there. Hope you get time to work on it further!
Nice entry. Attacking is a bit laggy (or I don't know, feels weird.) Great models, nice work. some music would be nice, and tone the mood of the game. It has to potential to invest some extra work in it!
Interesting concept. The light attack seemed to do more damage than the heavy attack which seems weird. A bit of music or even just some crackling fire sfx would add a lot to the feel of the game.
