Very very cool game, I loved it. I don't even think there's much I can give regarding feedback. Really polished, easy to learn and enticing mechanics. Congratulations, this is a banger!
The art is awesome and I think this could be pretty fun, but it's really hard to decipher what's going on...
Great artwork! I managed to fulfill the order, but I still feel like I didn't completely grasp how the mixing works. Also some items didn't seem to do anything, not sure they're just for decorating the yard... like the fountain, rock... and the pink ingot? I feel like perhaps there might be something hidden, at least with the pink ingot. It was cool to be able to strategize though how many gnomes I would be able to actively keep feeding and decide when it was worth breeding a new one or selling the hats. Overall I had lots of fun, I think the graphics and interface was good, only thing that wasn't fully clear are the supposedly decorative items (but also a few secrets are fun to have too, if that's the case). Congrats on the game, I really enjoyed it :)
I really liked the hover/fly mechanic, but it works a bit awkward with attacks... otherwise was cool. Not really sure why the grasshopper has 3 different colored attacks, took me a while to figure out what was going on (my bad too that I hadn't read the instructions beforehand), but overall nice submission. Congrats!
Really fun game!
I'm not sure I fully understood the game... After I got a bunch of the 3 different creature types the camera panned down as if I passed the level, but then nothing happened... Anyhow, the graphics are awesome, controls are really good and fun to run around... I really liked everything I saw in this game, aesthetically very pleasing. Great job!
Ohhh I love this game!! The game is fun, the mechanics are lovely, the art is great... some minor bugs as can be expected (for instance clicking a couple of times in the intro made the game load twice, had to reload the game to play properly). I hope you guys continue working on this game, has a lot of potential! Great job
The order of the items on the menu induced me to purchase a house first, which instantly is a self-defeat as I would soon realize after buying the water sprout and then getting myself stuck. Had to reboot and figure out to buy the mine and water first, then once things are rolling can buy the house... that aside, pretty neat game :)
Cool game. A few comments: it would be nice to have a display to show how many hamsters there are in each cage instead of having to interact with the cage... and on the same note, the only way to know how many (as far as I could tell) was clicking to sell, but I didn't find any option on the menus to go "back", so sometimes I was forced to sell hamsters... I really like the way the needs bubbles increase in size, alpha and have little lines that blink when it becomes critical! Great job :)
@dressorc we're trying to get the build working, not sure why it doesn't load, but same for me. @allenw thank you for the feedback! <3 to get new variants if you don't have the "genes" in the "gene pool" you have to purchase a new egg from the store (right side) and just hope that RNGeezus favors you hehe
@dressorc @larrymartinjr managed to get the web version working at itch.io if you'd like to try! :)
Thanks for the kind words so far everyone, we're very happy people have been enjoying the vibe <3 <3
@frozenfire92 the meaning of H.O.C. is still largely up to debate, the scientific community apparently is still investigating, there are many candidates... Hugely Optimistic Creatures, Hasty Offspring Creators, Haphazardly Organized Creatures, among others :)
@haayaargh thank you for the feedback, all doubts and constructive criticism are very welcome. We have worked on a post compo version that addresses a couple of the points you have raised, but mostly it boils down to what we were able to do in the time available. Once again though, thank you for your remarks, it certainly points towards things we should/could improve!
@ninjavitis thanks for your feedback, I'll check out your game too (The Gegnome Project), intrigued to see your approach.
The UI elements weren't really well made, we would've liked to make it more diegetic, but there are 3 attributes represented there (energy, hunger and comfort) and an overall which is a combination of the 3. Didn't turn out great though, fully agree on that :)
The bed indeed doesn't help with incubation time, we also had the idea of adding an item to do just that, but also didn't have time to implement it.
I chuckled at the "exciting adventure" lol, but yeah, we're aware of that bug, managed to reduce the probability, but still happens... should probably add some kind of capture mechanism outside and teleport the HOC back into the terrarium.
Once again, thank you very much for playing and for your feedback. I'll check your game too :)
@empyreans wow thanks for your lovely message. We thank you for playing! <3 So glad you enjoyed it
Pretty cool idea. I think it's quite a tough game, not sure the timings match the beats properly, but it's a fun idea, great job!
Wow, I loved this! Awesome idea and great execution as well... one of the best submissions I encountered thus far! Art is really good, but by far my favorite aspect is the game mechanic and how it feels like it's really a party of a bunch of players who don't bother to avoid friendly fire hahaha... really fun, great job guys!!
