The gameplay mechanic reminded me a lot of Terraria. Really great job on the music.

The gameplay mechanic reminded me a lot of Terraria. Really great job on the music.
I get the same error as Joror, also in Windows 7.
Fun little game, multiplayer would be nice as others have mentioned. Also, I kept wanting to use more than one hand for the controls, but maybe I'm just weird.
The world definitely needs more typing games like this one.
I hope your senpai notices you.
I wish there had been more to do or interact with. I saw a few jellyfish, but then just mines and sharks other than that. Also, everything moved very quickly, making them difficult to stab. Would have liked to see more in the way of goals or things to do.
I feel like your game wants to be more of a resource management game but playing it felt more like I was just trying to quickly make a series of jumps and hope I got to the next pool fast enough. I never felt like I was doing anything with my tears other than praying that I had enough to make the next set of jumps.
Pretty great take on something like Fishy but with an octopus. We need more octopus games.
It was neat to see a modern version of Snake Rattle 'n' Roll, but it was difficult to discern the edges of the stage and there was no real adherence to the theme.
Liked it overall, but turning the sharks was often difficult as I frequently overshot how far I wanted to turn.
Well that was unexpectedly relevant to recent events. Kudos to you two!
Lovely use of mandolin in your audio. The dialog elicited a few chuckles from me and the art was gorgeous. Really nice job!
I really enjoyed this! Audio would definitely have helped but not having it is understandable if you had to redo work. The UI for words you were typing was great and I'm a little jealous of it.
I think the money minigame was my favorite though the others were good. Except the pig one. I felt really bad about the pig! I did not hurt Mr. Piggy! Pigs are friends!
Controls feel good and the music isn't too bad either. Reminds me of high school days of playing Worms and getting entirely too creative with the ninja rope. :)
Nice! The art was very nice and I liked playing as a pencil. Some music would help and maybe Ted could use some items to vary gameplay, but I liked it quite a bit overall.
Pretty impressive! It seemed really designed for controllers, so not having them hindered the experience. Playing two player on the keyboard felt very cramped.
Eventually all the cop cars started spawning and chasing us upside down. That was pretty great.
The title song was a lovely touch!
I tried to pull off all the special moves but had trouble getting Here's Johnny. It was cute and had great style.
I liked the idea and the music wasn't half bad either. Watching the voxel aliens melt was really satisfying, so good choice on voxels. The biggest problem in my opinion is that the turning feels stiff and doesn't seem to relate properly with speed.
Wow, really? No.
A good, simple formula is hard to mess up and lets you shine in other areas. I liked the amount of interaction you put in between different rooms and the inventory. There was a lot of random chance to each room selection, which made it hard to leverage knowledge from previous runs; even when I knew what was behind each door I couldn't always capitalize on it.
Very nice! I'm always happy to see a well crafted twine game. I enjoyed playing it.
I couldn't figure out how to craft anything, so instead I spent a lot of time wishing I could pet the magma slugmagmaslug.png I love it.
The graphics were really great, but the UI and tutorializing could use a bit of work.
I really liked the gameplay concept here. I would've liked to have gotten into a sandbox where I could play with it a bit faster, though that would have taken away from the mood you were creating. I really, really, wish there were a web-embedded version. Reminded me a bit of games like 5D Chess With Alternate Universe Time Travel. Would be interested to see more of this gameplay idea.
Limiting the player to the elevator is such a good idea. I wish I'd thought of that! I'll keep it in mind for the next jam.
I liked this one! Thought, I kept having to restart because I would place a block and get pushed backwards out of a square; that was a bummer.
Loved it! I wish there was a bit more challenge, but what you had was perfect. My only real complaint is that I had a heck of a time finding the door on the second floor.
First of all: love to see a twine game in a game jam. Second: Good work on the writing and keeping the scope small while allowing the player enough freedom to explore the narrative space. I liked how you presented the theme in more than one way. A+
Others have given some great feedback about how to improve this entry, but I want to call out two things in particular: 1) The gameplay that's here is solid. It's fun to move around and shoot and it's fun to build turrets. This isn't nothing! There aren't any major bugs with control and everything works reliably, which is important! 2) There isn't enough pressure on the player. You need something to be changing up the player's actions regularly. Either spawning more enemies, spawning them from more places, or giving the player some kind of other objective to be fulfilling that pushes them into danger. What you've got here is a good base to build off of, it just needs a bit more. In my opinion, this is the most important element that's missing from your entry.
There was a lot to collect, but the map mostly just felt busy without giving me too much direction. I would have liked to see some more landmarks or locations to try and get to on my climb. The controls didn't ask much of me, so it was easy to get into but I found it harder to sustain my interest after climbing for a bit.
My kids liked the fishies trying to swarm them. Good first effort!
This is a pretty fun jam game. Nice job making sure that there was a lot of content to churn through in the background of a browser tab!
I tried to play your game, but I got a message saying there was no index.html inside your zip file! I hope you can upload a new revision somewhere.
