I NEED MORE LEVELS!! Seriously though, great concept, amazing execution - I LOVED it
this is actually incredible, my favourite submission so far. super impressive tech. very intuitive after the short tutorial. the only thing I would add is to communicate that space pauses time - took me a min to figure that out by myself in the level where that's first required. but other than that, super cool idea, great execution, solid submission. great job!
I really like the game ! It's simple but well executed ! I was afraid that the concept running out of steam quickly, but it was renewed with the curtains ! Well done ^^
Really smart level design and interpretation of the theme!
Nice work with the theme. Would have loved to see one or two more gimmicks, but that might be asking a lot for 48 hours. Nice work, hope to see you do more work in the future. :)
Definitely the best game I've played this time around (so far). Really cool mechanic perfectly executed and presented. Well done!
Great idea and execution. Would definitely play more of this. Congratulations!
Managed to reach the end!
Anyway, this was awesome! Such a cool mechanic & interpretation of the theme! Everything felt super polished & smooth, and the art style worked great here! The music changing slightly when you moved between modes was a nice detail too. And the levels were very cool, especially once the curtains arrived. I did find the controls a bit awkward, as I kept pressing space to jump & accidentally paused the game, and I completely forgot you can move the camera so got stuck for a bit on the first curtain level because of that, but otherwise, amazing entry!
Loved it!
It was actually way deeper than I thought, you managed to turn this simple gimmick into something much more complex. I've been surprised several times to see how changing the perspective impact the character and/or the level.
If there is more to it, I think that releasing a longer puzzle game based on this mecanics could be enjoyable for a lot of people !
Very good entry! Level design on point, each introducing something new. I actually got stuck at the two corners one until I came here for answers. I didn't expect the components to behave like that.
The visuals and audio all match as a whole. I also like the execution of the theme.
If anything, it could have used a option to adjust or mute sounds as they were kind of loud.
Good work!
Absolutely incredible the whole perspective mechanics, in such a short time and with such depth (pun not intended) to them. There are a ton of possibilities for how it works right now (being able to pause and change mid jump, moving the character along etc).
Would make for an amazing puzzle platformer with a handful of portal-like secrets!
Very original game with perspective, stylish art. I was suprised that puppet can be moved staying on dragged part. Angles of draglines sometimes not obvious and backdrop levels little bit tedious, but overall it's great game with lot of potential for new mechanics and levels.
Great graphics, really good overall :).
The level of presentation is crazy good for compo. The number and quality of levels is very impressive. I think the only mechanic you didn't really use was being able to look around with the mouse, but I could see that being used to hide certain things behind the initial viewpoint. Amazing job. The best compo game I've played!
Spectacular! Really impressed, that was a load of fun. Def had me scratching my head at one point but figured out that shift in mechanic and loved playing all the levels through. The clapping and the roses was such a nice touch for the style of the theatre. Standing ovation!
Excellent game. The mechanics are great. It as satisfying working out ho to complete each level.
Wow, such a good puzzle platformer. I love it!
-The gameplay is legendary. -There are some visual oddities with the player (when doing the perspective thingy) Ideas: -Dynamic filters for the sounds/music, to compliment the simple artistic style of it -vignette, more lighting effects, or a drawn-like look, etc... (defining the artstyle a bit more) -MORE PUZZELS (The existing ones were really fun to play) -Making players not be able to things like the perspective thingy before the tutorial explains it (as it defenetly was suprising when I tried to jump) -Background images/textures/noise or anything that does not look like my windows wallpaper (eg. a black screen :) ) -More obstacle types (the present ones are really good though) -story line (Thinking a bit of Little Big Planet, as there is real potential to get *real* creative) Great Job!
hmm, pretty neat graphics/idea
Damn, impressive for a compo game. I'd say more, but everyone has already commented enough lol
A really unique idea. More stages will be very welcome! :)
Congratulations!
Very impressive ! I have no idea how you coded that !
Great use of theme!
What a unique game mechanic! This is so creative - good job!
Super cool idea; it fits the theme perfectly. Would be awesome to develop further: the puzzles were still quite easy for now, but the mechanic has all the potential to create some real brainteasers!
Idk how I felt about this game, it is not that intuitive enough to enjoy puzzle solving, too much try-and-we'll-see, that's not good, but I make games, and this this brilliant mechanic made in 2 days is just cool and great.
Great use of the theme and I liked how you used the puppet show to frame the concept. The levels were a good progression of teaching new concepts and I can see how this would get built out into more levels if you wanted to. Initially relation between the depth and front view wasn't clear, but quick enough to catch on. Maybe a visual indicator for the front camera viewport while in free cam mode could make it more intuitive. Great entry!
Great Entry!
Very creative game! The way you actually work with depth layers is a great spin on the theme, and the puzzles are well made. Even more surprising is that this is a compo entry, a solid mechanic and this many puzzles in such a short time is impressive! Really liked the in-game tutorials, they feel very natural. The free look camera in the handle mode felt a bit cumbersome to use though, sometimes the handles would get obscured and you couldn't move them until after moving the camera. I'd really like to see more puzzles in the future too!
That was really interesting! Realizing that I could change perspectives mid-jump was a really good "aha!" moment for me.
