Using Chrome for PC,
NoClassDefFoundError GameApplet (wrong name com/caprockgames/ld26/GameApplet)
A well completed product with art and controls but I didn't feel the design was particularly interesting.
struggled with hitting two keys at the same time, but otherwise it was pretty well done and a clever theme
I feel the code and graphics are strong, and moving the player ship was decent. However my biggest issue was the enemy motion and gun fire pattern was too simple. The map I think was too open to be useful for hiding and a bunch of other features seemed to be partially implemented. It is a couple steps away from being a pretty good game.
it is fun! quick action, no time wasted
Spacebar worked on first level, but not on second.
The mechanic has a fundamental longevity and cleverness. I think this could have broad appeal as a fully featured game. I quite like the art as well. Plus you even have nice UI and sound. Props.
first glance was... not another platformer, but your color change game mechanic and art is very good! Pleasantly surprised.
Audio and art plus combat was all great. However I didn't want to have to kill everyone, seemed tedious.
brilliant idea, and maybe the audience is for the hard core, but I think most players need a little more assistance to figure out what to do, or some big moments to make it fun.
Great aiming concept, the art was alright, but I feel too detailed. The change of pace was a bit slow, and seemed difficult in an unfair way because I didn't really waste any of my laserbeam things, but still lots got past me.
Great brain exercise. I completed all the levels! I think it could find more success on mobile platforms. Good luck
Very impressive visual effects and sound, platforming is floaty and feels like I'm cheating and the shooting part seemed hard, but not very satisfying because there were just so many of the same enemy I was shooting at. I felt liek the theme was quite clever, and you created a world to protect but not really on point for the ludumdare.
The color bend posteffects were amazing! Use of sound was okay but the play-stop was a bit old after a while. The combat looks nice but I didnt really feel like killing more of the dudes after a couple minutes.
The line of sight cone is a bit ordinary, but everything else in this game is fantastic. Fun theme and great visuals, story, setting.
Slick effects and great pace for a minute or two of gameplay
I think the hearts are supposed to match some pattern that is the heart inside the robot? I like the robot, not sure what to do with them
I have a tenkeyless keyboard. I did get a couple fights in there though, plus there is crafting. Cool retro vibe. Nice to just crack open the cpp!
Game works well and the pace is quick and simple. The theme is creative and parallax was cool too.
Fun characters and I like the bullet motions and level progression!
Fun theme and it works well with the crisp art and solid pacing. The gameplay is alright, being a killer sucking roomba is fun for a couple minutes but I'd like some more things to do, or objectives or something. Title screen is fantastic
Rock paper scissors mixed with the push-out game. Surprising mix for a pretty fun design! Other areas need to help make it more polished.
I do like the Controls: NONE description, never seen that before!
Got 26! its alright, seems stable for a quick fun game
Very fun! Especially with the combos. Throwing backwards may have been easier or harder, im not sure but they got past me a couple times.
Awesome stuff, especially the currents are A+. Very impressive. I made something for Sony Online similar to this called Pirates Plunder Free Realms if you search on youtube.
Great idea! combat could be a bit cleaner but it works
I like the mechanic! The rest of the game is thin, but thats okay
