Nice job!
The graphics are really nice and I like the elevator idea
Great job, the music slaps and the combat is a lot of fun and I managed to become the Imptern! I was wondering, is it intentional that you can buy multiple upgrades on the upgrade stages if you click fast enough?
This is a really good entry, and a really unique application of the theme. I think starting with a more generous attack speed would have been nice, given how easy it is to get overwhelmed just a couple floors in. However, the powerup shop, especially those extra health options, were a good remedy to that too. One thing that I found frustrating to start with but actually warmed on me was how the elevator door required a few clicks to close. It was really good for building some last minute tension, though I will say it was confusing initially.
Nice game. Infinite enemies feels a bit OP because you can just farm them and have no soul problems later. Also if you fast enough it is possible to buy all 3 items in the shop insanely speeding up progression
Cool concept and design!
Neat game! The music went really hard. I also encountered needing to click the button a few times for the door to close, but once I figured that out it wasn't really an issue. I like the different items between floors, using your kills as currency is a good idea. It let me decide if I wanted to stay on a floor to farm some cash, or move on. Great work!
Nice game. A bit too easy for my taste
Congratulations! I really like the idea of the lift going down as a response to the theme, with the shops on the floors in between, it's great!
Really enjoyed this one. It reminds me of an arcade light-gun game. At first I found the enemies predictably spawning in the same locations and beelining towards you a bit too easy, but once the bats started drifting all over the place it really picked up. I really like slamming the "close door" button to progress the level, but I think the player should be encouraged to do it asap. Perhaps just a timer to encourage finishing the game ASAP, or a souls bonus for completing under a certain time.
Nice style!
I like the art style and I really like the elevator theme. The upgrades are nice and overall it's a fun game to play
A cool game, but a bit repetitive for me. I made it to floor -10 and the difficulty increased way too much on that floor. But still, good work, the idea of Satan recruiting is fun.
That was fun to play, though it felt like it was a little laggy on the web version. I found it hard to gauge how many souls I needed to defeat per level, I think I went overboard as I could easily afford every upgrade. The tactic seemed to be predictive auto fire at the corners where demons would come from, and it wasn't until the last level that they got close to the elevator, so I would've liked it to be a little more challenging.
The art is pretty solid, though I would've liked a clearer color palette with less grey. The music fits the vibe really well, extra points for the elevator music of course.
I had fun playing. So much so I would forget to press the button to go to the next floor. I'm not sure if it was intended, but if you're quick enough you can buy multiple upgrades.
Limiting the player to the elevator is such a good idea. I wish I'd thought of that! I'll keep it in mind for the next jam.
Fun gameplay loop, thought it was a bit easy. Maybe having some sort of enemy that could shoot at the player would make standing in the elevator a little more challenging. Overall good work!
Really fun game! (until the rats started being... well... rats!) but seriously, the game is super impressive for a 3 day project and feels great to play with tons of replayability due to the upgrades! I wish the floor would shut you out after a bit to force you not to farm souls for as long as you want!
