So. Much. Loot! Grats on the compo entry!

baknik 2017-12-04 04:10

I wasn't able to run it (blank grey screen on startup), but I did check out some of the art and music, which was pretty good!

prostone 2017-12-04 04:14

Sadly, same problem as baknik, the art looks awesome would like to see it in action :)

jormybb 2017-12-04 04:45

I got a grey screen too

nick-luciani 2017-12-04 04:46

Same problem as the other people, blank gray screen :/ The art looks good though!

kbf123 2017-12-04 04:50

That's odd... It works on mine. I'll try to fix this, but to be honest, I'm a bit unsure of what to do here.

kbf123 2017-12-04 04:57

I've made a new version that embeds java. Let me know if that fixes the issue.

baknik 2017-12-04 05:18

Embedding java worked for me! It's likely that I don't have the most recent JRE installed then. I got crushed by a boulder!

nick-luciani 2017-12-04 05:19

That fixed it for me  I can't seem to outrun the boulder though. Even if I avoid other loot and get the big gold nugget first I can't get away. Not sure if it's a bug or if I'm missing something.

thiagofr 2017-12-04 12:53

Nice graphics and music! And the game over screens are very well done! Congratulations!

prostone 2017-12-05 03:00

Ok, it works now! Finally get to play the game! The art really shines in motion and create a unique blend with the music.

Managed to get all 4 endings (nice art!), so I guess you can't outrun the boulder... so don't be greedy! Getting every other piece was a little tricky, thanks to the weight/jump mechanic, but not too difficult.

I would probably slow the animations a bit, little fella is moving his legs too much, otherwise it's fine short minigame.

Enjoyed playing it!

I like the art, especially the ending and dying pics,so cute and funny. The mood is also very good.

The first time I ran into the boulder I laughed. The art is very cute and enjoyable. The music is a bit repetitive, but I try not to hold that against compo entries. I feel there's a way to get (what I assume to be) ending 1 and was attempting some Indiana-Jones esque swaperoo, but it didn't seem like that was the key. Very fun to play, regardless!

kbjwes77 2017-12-05 09:57

Can someone say Indiana Jones? Cool game!

gilborn 2017-12-05 22:45

Nice homage to Indiana Jones! And really good graphics, I loved the different ending screens. Too sad that it is not allowed to use the Indy Theme ;-)

adrenallen 2017-12-05 23:24

I like the art style, and the music was good! The different death scenes was a nice touch. Good game!

sir-mr-dr-prof-sr-jr-phd 2017-12-05 23:54

Managed to get all the endings. This is a pretty good but simple game, good artwork.

siege 2017-12-06 02:44

You have a whole keyboard to work with! No reason to make the player take their fingers off the controls. Otherwise, fun work! I like the art.

racso 2017-12-06 02:49

Haha, nice game. The boulder and ending #1 were quite funny! It's actually cool that you created several endings.

I found a bug: controls stop working if your Caps Lock key is activated.

alchemic 2017-12-06 06:44

Got all the endings! Simple game, but lots of nice details. Nice music, too!

sadsmile 2017-12-06 10:21

Overall it's a pretty neat game. Although you could have put a little more effort into sfx and such. Small things like that can greatly improve the game feel! Keep it up :)

trasheur 2017-12-06 16:38

Love the jump like luigi in SMB2 ^^'

beebo-studios 2017-12-07 01:13

Nice little game. Love the different ending screens (deaths included). The music is also really cool, if a tiny bit repetitive, but I'll consider the time limit here ;) Though the principle is simple, exploring different endings keot me engaged. Well done!

Aw, that last treasure was quite a tease, but I guess you can never out-run the boulder. It's pretty cute, and I appreciate the loose collision detection keeping my character from dying too quickly. Not exactly a fan that the central game conceit is just dodging enemies while handling with the negatives of lifting all the items. I dunno, I guess that experience is just not for me. The experience just feels like a one-off narrative and that's it.
