Cool concept! I like the idea of having to keep the tower standing while also keeping it moving. Good Work!
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD49 → Stay Unstable!

An excellent concept! Trying to balance-not-balance the stack is more fun than it should be!
Really cool and fun, nice work and easy to play. Love it if it were developed a bit more.
Great job ... the only thing i could say is that i managed to get a few hundred million scores by just throwing the last piece to the sky... maybe account for that in the future... but overall great job... with some art work and a few effects and sounds this could be a really nice game to pass time
Nice twist on the typical formula! It felt a bit too finnicky, I wasn't able to get a feel for keeping the tower in a non-destructive sway, but maybe that just means I have to git gud, haha.
Great potential! I also managed to juggle the last two boxes up and down
Yes, I agree that, in the end, this is more like a juggling game. I would have loved to find a way to distinguish between a falling tower and an unstable tower… but I did not in such a short amount of time.
Thanks anyway for having tried it!
interesting concept ! i ended up stable more often than i thought xD good entry!
I got a record of 661344! Good game!
I like the physics of the game, almost felt like i was in slow motion, i also felt that could be explored more design mechanics to give layers to the core idea. Still a good experimental game.
Grate concept. It made fun to play and to keep the last boxes unstabel :D
12 hours?
Very cool, I enjoyed it a lot)
Liked the not-antialiased graphics and font, made it stylish.
The algorithm of detecting 'stability' is a bit too fuzzy, but then I found out that the game is easily cheezable by just bouncing one box around until I finally lost it at >300m :D
score: 991828 One of the better stacking games I've played from LD49 so far. A lot better balanced than some of the others. Well done!
@necauqua indeed, the "stability" detection is very rudimentary (3 seconds with almost no change in altitude of the tower) and it would have been interesting to check that the tower is actually a tower and not a single bouncing block.
Thanks for all your nice comments.
I got 2 million points by flicking and causing objects to fly up to the sky. Neat concept. I wish it was a bit clearer what we're doing and why. Why is it bad that the tower is stable? What does it matter if we build a smaller tower? Still it was fun to mess with physics. Thank you for the game.
The most effective tactics is to move mouse really quick and launch box far in the sky. Got 1.8M score this way.
Also, I guess some indicator of stability will be nice. So it will be 1 sec warning before game over.
Very interesting idea, It seems violently shaking your mouse is an excellent strategy; got around 2.3 million points that way.
Simple neat idea! I thought if the box be more sticky maybe be better
Thanks everybody for your valuable comments! See you next time.
