God damn, the first 5/5 across the board entry I've seen. So many other "high tier" submission aren't fun at all. Yours is gaming at its truest essence. I spent a few minutes just racing on the first level for the high score lol. You really get it, and props to you!!!

Hey Baldwin! Thank you so much, what a kind and thoughtful comment :D I'm a bit embarrassed to admit I actually have a degree in aerospace engineering so I'm very familiar with PID control systems, which are ideal for 2D missile guidance. Not a very happy/nice thing to know a lot about... Would be happy to share the logic/code if you're interested though lol!

That's good feedback, the game starts kinda overly zoomed in for sure. You can zoom out w/ the scroll wheel but really no point having that in there if everyone just wants to zoom out right away. Thanks for the kind words :)

Hey @qthree I experimented a lot w/ the gravity stuff and found that it was a bit too hard when the solar gravity was high. The options are either to increase gravity and make the map bigger to compensate (which means more time flying around which is boring) or have gravity low like it is and decrease the arena size. I think in the future, I'd have each wave drop a super-speed upgrade to let you get to the next one quickly and increase the gravity so everything fell in faster. Drag was important so handling was more predictable (you actually can get comfortable with maneuvering at your max speed, rather than very difficult to manually control zero-drag mobility) Thanks for the feedback! and the AI is fine w/ no drag :) just easier to play w/ it on! As it is, you can see the missiles actually have very little drag and control their velocity through a PID controller - which helps them pursue the player in a much more threatening fashion...

Damn...this is amazing in so many ways except that it's not fun :( I was so stoked to play this after seeing your posts, and even launching it up i was blown away by the scrolling text, the title screen, the art, the effects, the audio. All incredible. But making me run around super slow for three minutes to pick up 100 passengers....i couldn't tolerate it. Why not just have them queue up and run themselves? There's no point to the running around on the rock game-play so why make it such a focal point? Why not reduce the total passenger population by 10x so you can get on with the cool stuff? Baffling why you'd ruin such a PERFECT AMAZING MIND BLOWING submission with such a poor choice. Anyway, sorry to get so dramatic but it made me sad that this wasn't as dope as I went in hoping it would be.

Love the way the text color goes to red as the narrator talks, very clever. I think the only real fair criticism I have, is that the control scheme swaps when gravity swaps. Dunno if you've ever played Terraria, which has the exact same mechanic called the Gravity Potion. If you don't know it, what happens is your A/D keys keep moving you the same way on the map rather than switch when your character's orientation does. It's a lot easier to use and would allow you to put more interesting obstacles in your game. Overall this is a fantastic submission, which is why I was so bummed by the control choice!!

This is such a great entry! I think your music is cool and moody, the puzzles were pretty good for 48 hours, and the art was totally adequate. I don't think 2.5d overhead is a good format for a precision platformer tho... maybe think of another mechanic than jumping for getting around. I tried about 15 times on the last level due to the weird perspective and the unintuitive jump cooldown. Anyway, great entry!!

The game is great. Like really great and a fun idea. It is being let down by the lack of rotation and also the music. One of the biggest draws for Tetris was the music, and I think a proper tribute shoulda put a bigger emphasis on that and the mechanics than the looks (which are incredible for a game jam btw). Props to you for a really impressive submission!
