The idea is cool and graphics weren't too shabby either. I wish there was a way to buy health back.

@Listonos You actually recover half a heart every day but I will take adding that to the shop into consideration. Thank you so much!
This is great! Perfect execution on the theme for sure
I think the health system is totally fine, could be cool to upgrade your watering can though for a lot of cash idk, felt a little shitty having everything get harder for your money all the time but I see what you're going for
Concept was great and it's a very complete experience great job man
oh yea sound is good too
@BenPeterson Wow thank you so much for the wonderful feedback!! Yeah I wanted to add some upgrades into for the water can but I didn't wanna kill my scope lol. Thank you so much for the great feed back! I'll keep your point about spending money making it harder in mind. Thank you again!
Cool game! The game was definitely a balancing act between buying more difficult flowers to make more money, while not going too crazy and being unable to handle it (also, I'm terrible at shooters like this so). While I can see why having health in the shop would be nice; I also think it works well not having it here too. Overall, super game; definitely fun to play!
This was a really good game, my favorite of the game jam so far! Got a high score of 304 so far  60.png
Things I've noticed: - Coins can explode out beyond the fence - You can clip through the door without opening it my moving diagonally into one of the corners - Plants will still target / attack you while you're in the house (I always make sure I go to the very top of the house before sleeping because of this) - You can cheese a lot of the plants by getting them barely within sight horizontally and then shooting them. It seems like they need to be within a certain range to attack you and I can stand outside that range to shoot them. Maybe this could be solved by giving a time limit per day? - The 6-cost plant seems not very cost effective? I didn't write down how much it gives, but it didn't seem like a lot and my build order was generally 2, 2, 3, 4, wait a day, and then build 20's.
I'm no botanist, but I'm not sure that's how gardening works. It looks fantastic - any chance for a Linux or Mac build?!
@mrspeaker Wait this isn't how you garden? Yep I'm working on getting a Mac build out right now! If you'd like I can @ you once it is done!
@Bookworm31 I'm glad you enjoyed my game! Thanks for the feed back haha. I am interested in hearing everyone's opinions on the health system and it being in the shop so thank you for adding to the conversation!
@Herman Chau that's so crazy you go such a high score! It really made my day waking up to those tweets from you so thank you for that as well! I've written down all of your feed back and I'll be looking into it. Thank you for also including your optimal strat as well! It will be useful for balancing. I will definitely look into the 6x plant! Thank you again!
@mrspeaker Mac and Linux builds are live! I know they work but if there are any weird glitches in them let me know because I can't really test them from my pc. Thank you!
Let me just point out that this is probably the first game I've seen this LD that has an icon. :D
Pretty cute little BULLLEEEET HEEEEELL ^^ The life of an agricultor is quite hard, I did not know that his plants want the kill him ^^ I loved the experience ^^ It just lacks music
Keep coding :)
@LegionGames Thanks haha, it's a small thing but I'm glad people notice it! <3
@Mathiouza Thank you so much! I would love to have added music and hope to work on my skills to compose such music in the future so hopefully one day. I'm super happy to hear that you enjoyed the experience!
Pretty fun game, I like that you buy your enemies for that round. I feel the camera shake when you shoot doesn't need to be there, it makes the game feel kinda choppy.
@Guvitron thank you very much! The camera shake is meant to make the weapon feel more powerful so I'm going to keep it in but I will try to make it a bit more smooth to get rid of the choppy feeling. Thanks again!
I was unable to survive 12 days, perhaps I invested too much in dangerous plants... And this is despite that I found I could hang out on the right side of the field and shoot guys off-screen that weren't shooting back ^_^.
I really enjoyed this. Would be *really* nice if I could just hold down the mouse button instead of stressing out my fingers clicking all the time.
Great entry, and great combination of genres!
@Jimbly I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'll do some testing with just holding it down thanks for the feed back!
Freaking amazing! Excelent work, wanna check ours too??

This was super fun. The whole idea of buying your enemies for prospective profits is really neat. Adds a nice play at your own risk/gamble sort of feel to it, well done!
Never did I think farming could be this dangerous! Love the danger / reward balance. And yeah, holding down to shoot would have been an improvement.
Nice looking game with solid mechanics. I like the polish with both menus and intractable items in the world. I never survived the full game thou
@Flatterp I'm really glad you liked it! I appreciate the feed back on the risk and reward mechanic and I'm so glad people have been enjoying it so much!!
@pinkemma Farming is crazy man, lost a many of good farmers to sunflowers. Damn Bastards! I'll definitely be implementing that in the post LD version! Thank you for the feed back!
@GettingRekt Thank you for the compliments on the polish! Do you think it was to difficult?
Really well made, I love the variety in the enemy's. I was also annoyed with the enemy's attacking you in the house. Needs some tunes! Keep up the good work!
@Linkwin oh shit wait they can attack you in the house? Or do you mean like they started attacking you before you left? I'm plan on fixing them attacking you before you leave the house but if you can get hit before you leave then I need to fix that pronto.
Yeah if you open the door and stay in the house you can get hit. Also, forgot to mention, this game reminded me of harvest moon in a strange way.
But then the plant closes it back...
@Linkwin Ok I will note that and try to patch that as soon as possible. I super appreciate that!! I haven't played harvest mood but I've heard a lot of good things about it! I should have that fixed sometime tomorrow?(No promises) but again I can't thank you enough for letting me know about that!
@Linkwin oh shoot I didn't realize you made stardust! I really digged that game(especially the art), with a few fixes to the camera and some visual feed back it could be really good!
Yeah I'm super excited, will be updating soon if you wanna follow it! Thanks for the feedback!
@Linkwin yep just followed! Just @ me when ever you put up another build!
Great game! I also made a farming sim/twin-stick shooter, so it's fun to see other takes on that genre.
I like the risk/reward aspect of buying the enemies for the next day. Everything about the gameplay feels very punchy and fun. Like a few other people said, I do wish that you could buy watering can upgrades, since as far as I can tell there's not really a benefit to getting more money besides raising your score.
Good work for your first LD!
I wanted to play/rate this but had pretty major bugs on Mac. Just kept going black, I could hear the sound effects, but couldn't see anything unfortunately.
Cool Graphics! I love how this game created its very polished. Keep it Up!
@Dylan-Rainwater oh shoot I'll try to fix that and see if I can fix it.
All I get is a black screen on a mac :frowning2: If I play it windowed it is black and flickery instead. I can click around an it makes a sound effect.
@randomhuman that's super weird, I just went and tested it and it seemed fine. I'll look into it sorry about that.
@randomhuman does it happen right when you load up?
@Gavin Camlin I get the Unity splash, but it is black from then on... I'm on a mid-2014 15 inch Retina Macbook pro, if that helps, NVidia GeForce GT 750M graphics card. No worries if you can't get it working, these things happen.
@randomhuman ok thank you very much I will be looking into this! Hopefully I will be able to fix it!
I didn't get the purpose of purchasing stuff at first but I soon found out it unlocked enemies. I do hope we can make the watering can stronger as a counter for more difficult enemy spawns.
Overall, the game was really fun! The idea of shooting enemies with a watering can is a bit hilarious but charming. :)
Very nice job with this game! I love that the idea of setting the game's difficulty by purchasing enemies for a higher reward. I was only able to survive 10 days but because I tried to harvest too many cactus.
@riordan Super happy you liked it! Sorry the point of purchasing items wasn't terribly clear at first. I'll make sure that I work on more ways to make it clear to the player that what purchasing plants does!
@Dribix Thank you and I'm glad you enjoyed it! I tried really hard to emphasis the risk and reward aspect of it so I'm glad you appreciated it!
Awesome compo entry, feels super polished and I enjoyed playing it, everything is well put together, you did a stellar job for a first one. Wish my first jam game was that good.
Our game is also a sort of bull hell farming sim if you wan to check it out ;)
@Pietro-Ferrantelli Thanks I appreciate all of the feedback! I'll go check your game now!
Quite nice game you did here. It is fun and quite fast paced. Like the art style but missing some sounds. Overall nice entry. Good job! ;)
@Jin9310 thank you so much for the feed back! When you say it's lacking sounds do you mean that it's lacking because of no music or do you feel like there should be some more sounds in general (like foot steps). Thanks again!!
@Gavin-Camlin exactly, no music ;)
