The game is hard on many points: No tutorials or explaination of the combinaisons, all available at the begging. I'm not sure if I can gather more than 3 items at the same time. No way to retry/reset the game, so the only way to restart is to alt+f4 and open the game again.

I like the music and the graphics Didn't knew I could double jump, that's nice!

I don't know if there's a way to add at least a retry button when we lose/die and a button to close the game but it would help a lot! :slight_smile:

Thanks for your advice and we are developing a new version.In the next version you can restart when you win or lose. The exploration of combinations is part of the gameplay ,But we are working hard to make a clearer tutorial to help players aware it.

Nice game! I really enjoyed searching for the different combinations to see what they did. Although I was at times a bit clueless as to what effect a potion had, some small text or flash to tell the player what effects have been applied would be nice! :)

Very nice graphics and sound. First times I was confused what to do and didn't realy know what to do. Unfortunally it had to force quit 3 times because the getting resources animation was stuck

@devundead We've found this bug and tried to fix it yet, but for time was up, it is still in the game. However, this bug is not a serious problem (at least during my playing), it is just a animation stuck, and you can solve it by release the key or tying to jump. How about this bug during your playing? At the very beginning, we wanted to build up an exciting and diversifying gameplay, I know that's a challenge for us especially in 72 hours, but we decided to try. How to say, the final result is satisfying but with a few problems, maybe we will do better next time. lol

Really beautiful game with amazing parallax backgrounds. I got stuck above the screen on my first run. I had a bit of a hard time remembering what potion did what.

Really nice graphics and audio! A little difficult to understand what to do but after a few failed attempts I think i got the idea and managed to cause some damage but i see you are looking to add tutorial features so all good! Good job!

Cute game! The graphics are splendid and the audio works really well too! I liked the main focus of the game of gathering ingredients and crafting weapons that way! I also liked how you implemented the boss enemy slowly inching forward, it creates interesting gameplay.

Sometimes the gathering speed could feel a bit tedious, if I had to do it three times in a row, and to brew right after that as well though.

Also I found a bug where if you started brewing, and press to gather right after, it would instantly brew black sludge into inventory.

All in all, good game, and good luck with the jam!

I like this style of painting.

Using green potion, I walked over directly with the boss. Ahahaha

Maybe more guidance in game would be better. Except for the green potion which has a plus sign, I am very clear that it is treatment. In fact, I am not sure about the effects of the other kinds of potions. Maybe it would be better to make the snake easier to be killed, so I can know better if I cause a damage

Absolutely gorgeous art, that is for sure. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the designs. I agree with other comments that the game is a bit on the slow and obscure side, but with a bit of guess work and trial and error you realize that flowers mostly give you a healing potion and the snake with neutral ingredients just absolutely wrecks the monster. I think having a hover menu or a tiny indicator of what exactly the potion does woul've gone a long way because you see the green one and immediately know it heals but I still don't know what the aqua one does. Still a fantastic overall effort and congratulations to your team!

I enjoyed the art and the idea of mixing potions from items you collect is really cool. I found the game very confusing however, and wasn't sure what I was supposed to do or where to go. Some tutorial elements would be helpful since it seemed like all I could do with potions was throw them at monsters? (unless perhaps I'm missing something). It wasn't clear to me how to win the game.

I also had some trouble figuring out what the potions did, ultimately. I think a little feedback would have gone a long way, or maybe a hint here or there? I like the idea of brewing potions, though. Always been my favorite magical pursuit.

All comments above we've received. As many friends mentioned, the potion effect doesn't satisfy players well, thank you for your advises anyway! As you see, we tried to build up an exciting gameplay which can give people a completely fresh experience. However, we didn't complete all functions we planned because of 72 hours limiting. We respect LD's rules, those things we didn't do are certainly undone, we will not add these features currently. But who knows the future? We've certainly had the thought to build a really final version, which fits the gameplay we planned, which fits our imagination and ambition of the video game, and which is also an explanation to ourselves.

I could not figure out how to throw potions, but looking at the screenshots and description that's more my fault than the games.

Nice entry, although I didn't find it's not very intuitive how the throwing potions mechanics work, also it's very hard to figure out which things to mix together to get what you need, I'd make sure that the available items have some distinct colors or something that says that if you add them in your potion it will make it give damage / heal. Other than that, really nice work! Love the art too :)
