Hello, I'm Marco, nice how you can fire the fire with anything. also nice atari 2600 look
Good graphics and the gameplay felt fluid
Is it possible to even get those far trees? :') This is a perfect execution of a little game, you nailed both the theme and the epic theme song <3
Cute little game! Well executed on the theme, and interesting original idea! Looking forward to playing the games you make in the future
@mook First get some tree and keep table, chairs, books. Later combine them with trees.
Keep in mind that I made a big forest
Nice game with good gameplay.
Cool graphics, the game fits the theme very well and gameplay itself is truly enjoyable. Keep it up (づ。◕‿‿◕。)づ
This is cool. The audio and visuals are really simple but well executed, the game has a nice atmosphere. I like walking away from the fire, out into the quiet. It's surprisingly moody.
The gameplay is super basic but it works well. And it's funny! The idea of taking down your door to burn it in a stove so your baby won't cry - it's so silly, I like that.
That's a really dark game if you think about what's going on long enough, haha. Love it though! Really unexpected take on the theme. Maybe gameplay could use some twist to at least give player a hope to delay the inevitable a little longer. I still had some fun with it, good job!
I was recording my playthrough of your game so here’s a link in case you’d like to see it https://youtu.be/gFusdrtgKRk (sorry for low quality, youtube didn’t like my recording for some reason; I’ll re-process it and re-upload later) Your game starts at 25:30. And I'm sorry, I couldn't pronounce your nickname correctly
Nice job for your first jam game.
I like the graphics and the sound effects. Gameplay is pretty fun and the controls feel nice. Great job for your first game jam.
Nice game! Well executed. Juggling between the tasks was fun. Quite moody as well.
What an astounding first entry to a jam. o:
I loved it! Though admittedly I did think the baby was a dog and was very happy that I could pet the doggo.
This is one of those games that I feel could become really fun if it was expanded and given more time.
Thanks for making this! :D
@bubakgames @rinko @tengusheath @moasip @coderaurus Thanks for playing and feedback.
@pdotjpg Thanks for the feedback. Perhaps a sound of wind outside would have increased the imersion.
@caudatecoder It's real! It's happening! Someone is playing my game on youtube, I'm going to become famous  Don't wory for my nickname, you pronounce right first time
@otterfaelure Thanks for your feeback. Adding a dog would be a good idea. After a while, a dog appears and you have to take care of it too.
really nice! well done, especially for a first! had fun!
*final score: 199*
(also, nice a to see a fellow godot dev!)
Good wholesome burnin' your house down kind of gameplay ;-)
The animation is very effective, especially the head pixel block thrusting forward as the player character hurriedly walked to-and-fro.
The particle effects helped set the mood for the scene.
wow... cool game! but it did not feel good to let my baby freeze 😢 5/5 for atmospheric!
For a first jam entry, that was amazing. I felt sad when I realized that there was no way I would walk to the next tree and back before the baby froze so I just stood rocking the crib when the fire went out. :-( Kudos!
Got to a score of 233! Fun little game with a hint of strategy to make your actions feel impactful!
Nice entry!
This house has pretty good insulation, especially considering I cracked the door in half right away! Enjoyed breaking all my furniture, just wish there was more of it!
A nice simple game, but the gameplay is a bit repetitive: after you've burnt everything in the house you're basically constrained by how far the closest tree is. Maybe it would be fun if new objects spawned here and there?

Very nice. From the title screen alone i except something completely different.
Nice game with very good atmosphere, although it's not possible to get through it when the nearest tree is far away. If you improve it a little bit, it would be playable in a long hours of gameplay.
Congratulations on finishing your first game jam! You have the right idea to focus on finishing. It is good to get a feel for what you can accomplish and build up from there.
What you came up with was good. It had all the important elements. Graphics, sound, gameplay, a goal and feedback. I thought it turned out well. I would encourage you to try another jam in the future if you enjoyed it.
Great job making a game in 48 hours!
Got to 199. Very nice first entry. Great look and controls! I think that using some Atari/Commodore kind of font would make it look even better. :)
Really cool game! I really like the art style! Great idea and mechanics! Spot on with the theme!
I love it, it's easy to learn and intuitive. The art are simple but effective. Real cool for a first game jam.
How maek babby worm?
In all honesty, solid first entry. It felt bleak, and especially dark because the inevitable is... a dead baby. But I enjoyed that.
@subvertissement @d00kl1 @blockerz @yeti-kid @kiddy Thanks for playing and feedback.
@alexhoratio @hiddentavern Yes it's dark, and I had think to replace the baby with another thing. But it's increase the "unevitable" part of the theme.
@darandin @lisyarus @sunjet Yes, I could improve it to improve the strategy
@caeonosphere I had the idea that the fire would go out more quickly if the door was broken, but I did not implement it.
@phoenixofforce @dzejpi The font no realty fit with the 8bit style, you right.
@a-chill-lemur Juste keep the fire on and the baby will be warm. Thanks for playing.
Congrats on your first submission! A very straightforward idea but it plays really well. Kudos!
Cool game
This was well executed and a nice idea! Fit pretty well with the theme too. I think it did drag a little bit though. It would be cool to have some additional mechanics to spice things up, like maybe movement power ups or something like that?
I liked the super low res pixel art , even though the particle effects were a completely different resolution the overall visual still kind of worked for me. Gameplay is a bit weak, felt like there was not really any choice to make, just burn the next closest thing till you can't get back in time. I feel like probably could have been quite easily improved by justing have some kind of choice about where to go or how many things to pick up before returning maybe some hazards to jump over perhaps or something. Anyway congrats on your first gamejam and getting a playable game up, welcome to LD, there is no turning back now :).
I love the Atari art style. The idea is good. Easy and funny to play.
It was stressful to keep the baby quiet, so 5/5 in simulation.
Art style was just what it needed to be without getting in the way, fit the gameplay well. I wonder if it would have worked to have some sort of dash with a cooldown or similar to manage.
I like the graphics and the audio. The game really fits the theme, but does get pretty boring and repetitive after the first 100 points. Overall, a good submission for the first time.
Indeed it's nor really fun but good job for your first game jam! =)
So I lost after burning basically everything :-D. I guess 200 Points is pretty much max
Inevitably dark and frightening. I liked it.
It's the kind of minimalistic and emotional games that Anna Anthropy would like. (Not sure if it interests you, but I'm a fan of her).
The particle effects of the fire and the chimney are nice, and suits the global graphic style of the game.
Is there a way to go on the second floor and get the books and table that are in it ? I did not find any stairs nor ladders.
Also, thank you for having compiled the game on many platforms, especially the web. I try to avoid downloading and executing random stuff from internet, even if they are games.
Very nice entry here! You got that Atari vibe down to a T :ok_hand:
I love the added touch that you can burn objects inside your house for warmth, too! I do wish there was a liiiiiittle bit more depth though so that I could make some interesting decisions/trade-offs. I could burn pretty much everything in my house without filling up the fire gauge, and then it was just a matter of "run off to tree, cut down tree, put in fire, rock baby, rinse, repeat."
I feel like if there were just a few simple mechanics to shake things up, and force the player to make interesting decision, it would really open this game up. Maybe a larger inventory to hold multiple items, but limited space. Trees take longer to cut down and haul, but burn for longer. Meanwhile some new item (like bushes) are light, easy to carry, but burn quickly. Just a simple edition like that can ensure that all players don't have the exact same experience every time.
I do realize that this is a compo entry though, so I'm sure you considered all of this as well, and just ran out of time. What you did manage to get out in the weekend is still really really good!
Also, compliments to the sound design. It's very minimal, but in my opinion it's extremely effective.
Hey actually very nice game! Gameplay isn't very fun admittedly, but there's purpose and it's well designed. Graphics are charming and good amount of polish with the visual and sound effects!
Loved the retro-style graphics and the audio.
My best score was 219 (my strategy was to let the little baby almost die of cold before I put the furniture/trees in the chimney in order to stretch the time as much as possible).
We have the same idea! I didn't expect books to burn! good job!
Very simple but charming! The graphics are very simple, but stuff like the squash & stretch when hitting objects make it more interesting. I wish the gameplay was a bit more interesting, because right now it devolves into walking to the right to get a tree and then walking back to burn it until you lose. However, still a pretty nice, funny game. Well Done!
